Decimator MD-HX HDMI and SDI Cross Converter with Scaling & Frame Rate Conversion

Does not take much energy and works as expected

I bought it to make a teleprompter, To do this, I used several options as HDMI-SDI convertion, SDI distribution, vertical flip scaler, and everything works great.

One amazing little gadget. I love all the conversions it does. HDMI to SDI, SDI to HDMI, frame rate conversion - all no problems.

First of all, let me preface this by saying that if youre on the fence with this... BUY IT! Amazing product! I had always read review of people raving over this and while it had a VERY good reputation in the broadcast world, it was never something I NEEDED. Until last week. Long story short we had a Mac Pro not being recognized by an ATEM Production Studio 4K and needed it. Bad. We had tried software, SwitchResX and the like never seemed to work for us. After hearing about this product for so long I bit the bullet and bought one. Best purchase I have ever made hands down. Works like a charm after figuring out how to properly set it up. No issues for us whatsoever and I would highly recommend this product to anyone else!

This thing is a great piece of hardware to keep around for people working in live video. Its a scaler, format converter, distribution amp/duplicator and HDMI/SDI converter all in one. Plus, it can perform multiple jobs at once. You can convert an SDI to HDMI, while changing the frame rate and resolution and having a loop out of SDI, while at the same time converting a separate HDMI signal to multiple SDI outputs.

...Anybody who owns one knows how great this product is! Love my Decimators.

After trying another brand converter with no success, the Decimator filled the bill. My problem was a mismatch between camera signals of two different rates (domestic and foreign standards) which another manufactures site said it could handle... they fibbed... this product worked without any hassle at all! Highly satisfied and would strongly recommend!!

Super versatile, reasonably easy to use. I have several and they all have worked flawlessly. I find the LCD less than easy to view. I REALLY wish there was an iOS app for settings. Yes, Id have to carry around a lightning to USB cable, but thats way more convenient than lugging a laptop.

Great converter box. I have installed probably 10 in the last year or so. If you get confused by menus, connect to a computer and use the app to configure, its a little less intimidating. You can also save your settings to the computer as well -- useful for installs if someone Accidently tinkers with the settings. I mainly use this to make Macs/PCs nicely interface with BlackMagic ATEM switchers - it always seems to work.
