Decimator MD-HX HDMI and SDI Cross Converter with Scaling & Frame Rate Conversion

This unit sends and receives video and audio flawlessly. We generally use it as a simple converter. But, there have been a few shows where we needed to scale the signal so a receiving unit (BMD) could pass the feed.

I use these for my international webcasting business. We work in the US Asia and Europe and on occasion have had problems getting and sending SDI signals to the local venue. This device gives us the flexibility we need to easily punch in the size and frame rate required at both ends. Easy to use, durable, becoming the standard of the industry.

Love these units. They kick Blackmagic Design and Barcos Imagepros ass! I use these all over the world on AAA events. Wish they would give me other units to try out on events. (hint hint)

Buy this FIRST. We needed to go from 720p to 1080i, coming from a DJI Inspire 1 Pro, into to a broadcast system, via SDI. Four other adapter configurations failed. Expensive BlackMagic adapters failed. This thing worked right out of the box with 2 simple menu setting changes. Does exactly what it should, has multiple applications, and the up-scaled output feed looks great. Configuration is easy and the menus are very straight forward.

Another great box from Decimator--HDMI to SDI in either direction, and can also be configured as a 1x4 DA, all for under $300--such a deal! Can be configured either from the onscreen panel, or through Decimators UCP software which is finally available for Mac as well as PC. Rugged box and the new locking power connector is a big improvement from their previous generation products. Like the reviews above, I use it to convert incoming camera signals for the Blackmagic switcher but Ive also used to convert SDI cameras to use with a Paralinx, HDMI output cameras for SDI signal path, and as a DA.

OK I now have several of these and other Decimator products. They are always our get out of jail units. Do not brake, and very solid. If I had to put down any criticism it is that getting some of the setting right is not always logical (my team have a habit of pressing every button until it works).

These are just so golden. Make life so much easier than the other dumb converters. I never worry about signal conversion now!

I bought this device but it is not connecting with my laptop, i tried different laptops but it is not working, the main purpose of buying this product is to do facebook live streaming of my programs but it failed.
