Decimator MD-HX HDMI and SDI Cross Converter with Scaling & Frame Rate Conversion

> 3 dayIt took a bit to figure out the input and outputs, and how they related to scaling, but once I did, this little box does exactly what I want it to do, every time. What confused me at first was that it allows you to set outputs to some of the inputs, but that just converts or passes through the signal, without scaling it. What I needed for my use case was to use the scaler to adjust the frame rate. Once understood, everything works great!

> 3 dayI purchased two and used one right away and it worked great. Then I used the second one and it had two bad outputs. I couldn’t return it because it was out of the 90 day window. Lesson learned. For that I have it a poor rating.

> 3 dayIt does just what it says and all in a nice compact format. I dont know how other manufacturers get away with charging many times the price of the Decimator to do the same thing, but this little box seems to have the most bang for the buck. I really like the ability to change settings via the OSX app, too.

> 3 dayIve used decimators for a while one, this one I bought for some reason only output through all SDI ports if I reset by unplugging thepower supply and replugging it. something is wrong with this one.

> 3 dayThe Decimator MD-HX Cross Converter does an excellent job with very low latency and great resolution. We have a Blackmagic Design Mini Converter which I like too but it has more lag two frames more and runs hotter, also doesnt do HDMI. The Price is the same so its a no brainer for me, we will be buying more Decimators. Note: the screen is small hard to read not really an improvement over the dip switches on the Blackmagic but the build quality is better and the price is the same. Its a lot more versatile with horizontal & vertical flip which gives you a lot of options for camera mounting so pretty much a no brainer.
