Freud 40-114: 1-5/8 (Dia.) Chamfer Bit

Can you go wrong with a Freud router bit?

I am rather new to woodworking after having not done very much in a number of years. Im amazed at the new tools and products that are making it easier to accomplish tasks much faster with better results that the old ways. Freud has always crafted quality tools and this one is no exception. Fast, sharp and easy to use bit. Glad Im spending the extra cash instead of trying to make an inferior bit work. Will keep buying the Freud bits one or two at a time until I get a complete set together. VERY HAPPY!!

Excellent router bit

I always am pleased with everything I have bought made by freud. When used correctly it works as advertised. I will buy other freud router bits and saw blades.

Worked beautifully to edge a hundred feet or so of solid wood countertop at 16,000 rpm using a PC 3.5 hp router. Did not require sanding afterward. Even under magnification I could not see any ripples. Only criticism I have is that the bearing seems small and did leave a slight impression along the face of the work, though that may have been because of the mass of the router.

I used this bit in a full-size router to put a 30° slope on a custom shelf I was making. I chose this bit because of the reputation of the company that makes it, and it worked well for me.

Is what it says it is; would buy again, works fine, cuts well. Not quite sure what to say for reviews like this?

Worked great for putting a chamfer on both sides of my 1 x 1-1/2 trim to match my ceiling angle. I would recommend Freud bits for any application. they are awesome!

This was the perfect tool for my project. It was very helpful to have the cutting diagram with the cutting angle shown. It cut fast and accurate. The cut was what I needed for my kitchen cabinet repair. After completeing my project with this bit it is as sharp as when I opened the package.

Well worth to cost, very high quality bits. If you want bits that cut smooth and will last and last get Freud bits. All of the Freud bits I have purchased are of the same high value.
