Greater than one weekGood finish on a1/2 Chamfer cut. It is a Freud bit and was delivered on time and in excellent condition. It was exactly what I needed.

09-04-2025When used properly at the correct speed and depth of cut it created a butter smooth edge on my Padauk desk top with no burning, chatter, or chipping.

> 3 dayThe bit is excellent quality as are all Freud router bits (and blades). The problem (for me) is that I needed a bit that would cut 3/4 stock. This bit will not do that. It cuts 5/8 or maybe 11/16, but not 3/4 and certainly not 1 stock. caveat emptor.

> 3 dayDont be fooled by the item name, this bit actually has a 1/2 shank. As with all Freud bits, this is a great item.

> 3 dayTheres not much to say here ... the bit is beautiful and up to the standard one might expect from Freud. It was packaged well and shipped promptly from the seller, arriving quickly and as described. The bit has a sharp and very durable edge. I used the bit to put a chamfer on some 12 PVC pipe sections I was using to construct part of an environmental science research project, and the bit worked just fine in PVC without chipping, grabbing or any misbehaviour. By the way, doing this creates volumes of white plastic sawdust that would serve well as fake snow.

> 3 dayI like my Freud chamfer bit - wonder what Sigmund would have to say about that.

> 3 dayAnother great Freud router bit. I got this to make square lamp posts on tapered pieces. Figured it would be safer than some of the table saw setups. This thing is massive. Biggest router bit Ive seen.

> 3 dayI bought this bit specifically for one table top, 23 X 50. I wanted to put a 1/4 chamfer around the edge. This bit burned up and started leaving streaks in the maple before I could finish. It took a lot of hand sanding to remove the burn marks. This is so unusual for Freud. I wish I could return it.

> 3 dayIve been using this bit for around year, helping me make some modern trim for my house. It works well, has held a scary sharp edge after routing a couple hundred feet of poplar.
