Crikey this monster is actually too big for most projects! But it cuts like mad, but I recommend NOT trying to use the whole cutting face at once.. Like any routing, little bit off at a time. Ive had a few heart stopping experiences when I went in too much and had my router ripped out of my hands. User is idiot, bit is fine. Always wear ppe, I dont care how cool you think you look. You look cooler alive and SAFE

Worth every cent I paid for it. Be careful removing the bit from the packaging.

Prompt delivery. High quality router bit as you would expect from Freud. Love the beefy 1/2 shank. Should last for many uses.

I used this to bevel 50 six foot long, 3/4” thick redwood pickets. I was pleasantly surprised to find the bit still going strong even after cutting through plenty of knotholes.

I have an ever growing collection of Freud bits, blades and tools and as always, this one is awesome. I am making all my trim in my house out of black ash and Im using this bit for the edges. It is the first chamfer bit that ive used that didnt burn at all on end grain.

1-5/8" (Dia.) Chamfer Bit with 1/2" Shank

From the Manufacturer

Freud"s precision ground carbide bits have a grain size smaller than other grades, and titanium is added making them impervious to chemical attack. Promoting safer woodworking is the reason Freud made a commitment to develop anti-kickback router bits. Bits are computer balanced to insure vibration-free operation at speeds that are a safe margin above the typical 22,000 RPMs of most routers. Freud"s philosophy is woodworkers should expect safety, not pay for it. Carbide length 5/8-inch, angle 45-degrees, shank diameter 1/2-inch.
