We love this monitor! We tried a different brand and had issues all the time. Switched to the infant optics pro and have not looked back! Great quality, sound and picture. Love it!

We’ve been using the previous version for the past three years, and have been super happy with it. Zero problems. But we’re about to have baby number 2, and we figured if we’re buying a new camera we might as well upgrade. We couldn’t be happier! The picture quality is amazing. Such an improvement, and the original wasn’t bad by any means! Works great in daylight, and the night vision is awesome too. Love that you can pan and zoom the camera remotely. We love that it doesn’t need WiFi to work too, because our internet isn’t super reliable. Could not be happier with this purchase.

The camera is good so far. Resolution is good, havent had any range issues. The Active Noise Rejection cuts down the white noise machine significantly but not completely (which is fine, they never claimed it would work 100% with noise machines). One problem Ive noticed is the audio level indicator takes quite a bit of noise before it registers at all, which is a bummer since wed hoped to use it in audio-only mode with the volume down just using the meter. My guess is this is related to the ANR and would be more sensitive if it werent trying to cut out a noise machine, but I havent tested it. Not sure on the battery life yet, we mostly keep it plugged in. So overall, great monitor so far. Unfortunately, after you register the warranty they coax you HARD with a free second camera (normally $100) into joining some loyalty club, which involves writing a review wherever you bought it. Its not 100% clear if youd get the camera if you dont give them five stars, but they make it super clear they REALLY want you to give them five stars. I think this is a good enough product that the reviews would speak for themselves without this sketchy solicitation. They seem to already have a good reputation so I dont know who thought this was a good idea, but it was disappointing and guts my trust in the company from the get-go.

This moniter was recommended by many people despite the cost. I was a little reluctant but am very happy with my purchase. Zooms well even without the zoom lense.

Before I write this I want to say I was not encouraged or bribed to write this review. I’ve seen a few reviews that said they were encouraged to write a review. I was not and these are my honest thoughts. We bought the Miku monitor and the stand that goes with it. All in, $500! But we loved the idea of the breathing tracking and the alerts if no breathing was detected. Without going into too many details, we HATED it. On top of just not being able to track breathing, the picture quality was horrible. I also hated how I could only view on my phone. It made my phone virtually useless to anything else if I wanted to just see the monitor. I really didn’t want to give in and buy something new because of how much money we has invested in this system. But I had to. I didn’t feel comfortable that I couldn’t really see her at night. I thought I would get something cheap. But I couldn’t get past how many good reviews this product had and how great it looked. Sooo glad I gave in and got this! I cannot believe how great the picture quality is. Even in night vision, I can easily see details like the small rise and fall of her chest or drool on her mouth. I also love that I can take the monitor around the house with me and still have my phone free. The features are all great. I love being able to dim it down or turn down the volume. I also love being able to adjust the camera (something the Miku also lacked). If you’re on the fence, just get this!! Sometimes more expensive doesn’t always mean better.

First off, I used the DXR 8 for 2 years and felt it was time for an upgrade so I purchased the pro. The quality difference was like night and day. I bought the pro in October and in December my monitor just stopped working. When I tell you the customer service goes above and beyond. I had a brand new monitor delivered to my house within 24 hours. And they reached out to follow up that everything was working smoothly.

Initially I wanted to avoid purchasing a camera specifically designed for monitoring a baby/child. Due to a poor internet signal at my house repeatedly dropping signals, the wife gave me little choice but to find something not dependent on our wifi. Price initially seemed high compared to some of the other systems, but the reviews for the Pro seemed to be indicative of something. Accessory availability seems varied enough. I ordered the camera with a wide lens and a universal mount clamp. Shipping was insanely fast seeing how I’m not used to getting products within a day at my address. No damage to any of the products or boxes either. Some of the interior packaging even had a nicer quality feel to it. Feeling the camera itself versus the previous one used, it didn’t feel nearly as rugged and solid. Once I read the instructions and begin realizing all the functions it had, I understood exactly why it’s construction is not a single piece. Switching from a single view non adjustable wifi internet camera to a fully controllable direct connection camera is incredible. Swapping out the different lenses furthered my appreciation of the camera and left me with the dilemma of which one I think is better for which application...they’re all great so far. I haven’t had it long enough to give it a full battery evaluation. Since I was used to a display draining insanely fast with the other camera, I really appreciate the extra long charging cable for the Pro Display. So far the range has allowed me to take the display across the street, in the garage and even all around my 1 acre lot with minimal delay. I haven’t experienced any interference from my wifi network or phone. The security of a secured link is very reassuring. The night vision mode is perfectly functional for our intended use; I’m not looking for tactical grade equipment to spy on the sleeping baby. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and know my wife is as well. I will be recommending this product to anyone else I know looking for a baby camera.

I did so much research for baby monitors but this one is so nice. Not only do I love the fact that it is not connected to WiFi but it’s good quality and easy to use.

We couldnt be happier with our system and have been very pleased with the customer support from Infant Optics. Weve been using the monitor/camera for a couple of years now, and its been great. Recently, though, we started having problems turning the monitor on. I decided to reach out to customer support to see if they had any recommendations, even though it was out of warranty. To my surprise, they replaced the camera anyway. Their replacement arrived quickly and has worked flawlessly. All that to say, were really impressed! We like companies that stand behind their products. I will also add that we recently acquired a second camera to monitor a different room, and the monitor has worked very well for that, too. Users can quickly bounce back and forth between different cameras -- it works great. Were impressed and so glad we chose the DXR8-Pro!

This is a wonderful product with one giant flaw; you need to push the cord into the monitor VERY hard. Very, very, full force with your thumb HARD. Push it until you hear and feel the click. If you do not do this, the battery will die and the monitor will start beeping... There is even a tag on the cord that says to push the cord in completely, and even after seeing this my moms caregivers were not able to push it hard enough to fully connect the monitor to the power source/charger.
