Our Monitor was starting to glitch and the screen was beginning to turn off randomly. Emma C. With customer service was amazing. Emma helped me troubleshoot the problem first. When none of these options worked Emma sent us a new monitor immediately! Also, love this monitor!! I have had 2 others including the first version of this monitor and nothing compares! You can go so far from the cameras with the monitor!

Thrilled I finally found a camera and monitor that works! I had to purchase a new monitor that was compatible with 2 cameras after having my second child since our first system didn’t have an available 2nd camera. This is my 4th camera duo purchase and I was starting to think I would never find one that worked. This thankfully is great!!! The reviews on the previous purchases all seemed great but this people either had low standards or just totally lied. This is worth the money! Pros: - night vision is great and very clear -you can still hear the volume when the camera monitor is on standby mode and dark to conserve battery - using 2 cameras it is easy to toggle between each camera and they do not go offline (which my last purchase did ALL the time) - battery life on the monitor has been impressive but I have kept screen on standby mode majority of the time since I can still hear - monitor is a great size. And not having to be connected to Wi-Fi makes it feel more secure CONS: -the monitor takes a specific post type charger so you can’t use any USB C or micro USB that you probably have dozens of around your house and will have to keep up with the one charger

We originally bought a Miku because we liked how it monitored babys vitals without something like the Owlet sock. We ended up returning it because it didnt have a monitor and if you didnt want to attach it to your wall, you had to buy a $100 stand, which is insane for a piece of plastic. We chose this camera instead and are so happy with our decision. It is small and compact, making it easy for travel. If you dont want to attach it to your wall, you can buy a mount for it that can easily attach to the side of any crib or bassinet. We use it on our bassinet while our son is sleeping before we go to bed. The screen quality cant be beat. We can see everything so clearly with the amazing night vision. We always have a fan and a noise machine running, and the noise cancelation eliminates both almost completely. The detail and live feed is so accurate, I can see my son breathing under his Halo sack. It has a wide and a normal lens that are easily interchangeable. The cords for both the monitor and camera are very long and thin in case you need to connect to a distant wall outlet. If you dont have the monitor plugged in, you get a decent amount of battery time before it needs to be charged again. It is easy to move the camera angle from the monitor in case baby moves around. While this doesnt have an app for your phone, we decided we didnt need one. An app will drain your phone battery, and if you are monitoring baby, you cant do anything else on your phone. For example, I frequently use my phone for recipes, so if I was cooking while baby was sleeping, I couldnt properly watch him. The monitor is the perfect size, not too big or too small, has a great battery life, and is easy to move around and position with a kick stand -- so no phone app is needed. Lastly, the signal is really, really good. We took the monitor outside to shovel snow and had no connectivity issues with the camera that was inside and on the second floor of our house.

The camera is good so far. Resolution is good, havent had any range issues. The Active Noise Rejection cuts down the white noise machine significantly but not completely (which is fine, they never claimed it would work 100% with noise machines). One problem Ive noticed is the audio level indicator takes quite a bit of noise before it registers at all, which is a bummer since wed hoped to use it in audio-only mode with the volume down just using the meter. My guess is this is related to the ANR and would be more sensitive if it werent trying to cut out a noise machine, but I havent tested it. Not sure on the battery life yet, we mostly keep it plugged in. So overall, great monitor so far. Unfortunately, after you register the warranty they coax you HARD with a free second camera (normally $100) into joining some loyalty club, which involves writing a review wherever you bought it. Its not 100% clear if youd get the camera if you dont give them five stars, but they make it super clear they REALLY want you to give them five stars. I think this is a good enough product that the reviews would speak for themselves without this sketchy solicitation. They seem to already have a good reputation so I dont know who thought this was a good idea, but it was disappointing and guts my trust in the company from the get-go.

Before I write this I want to say I was not encouraged or bribed to write this review. I’ve seen a few reviews that said they were encouraged to write a review. I was not and these are my honest thoughts. We bought the Miku monitor and the stand that goes with it. All in, $500! But we loved the idea of the breathing tracking and the alerts if no breathing was detected. Without going into too many details, we HATED it. On top of just not being able to track breathing, the picture quality was horrible. I also hated how I could only view on my phone. It made my phone virtually useless to anything else if I wanted to just see the monitor. I really didn’t want to give in and buy something new because of how much money we has invested in this system. But I had to. I didn’t feel comfortable that I couldn’t really see her at night. I thought I would get something cheap. But I couldn’t get past how many good reviews this product had and how great it looked. Sooo glad I gave in and got this! I cannot believe how great the picture quality is. Even in night vision, I can easily see details like the small rise and fall of her chest or drool on her mouth. I also love that I can take the monitor around the house with me and still have my phone free. The features are all great. I love being able to dim it down or turn down the volume. I also love being able to adjust the camera (something the Miku also lacked). If you’re on the fence, just get this!! Sometimes more expensive doesn’t always mean better.

We ordered this monitor in Nov 2021 and were super excited at how well it worked. The active noise reduction was amazing because we use a sound machine and compared to the old monitor we had, it was so nice not to hear that constant noise. We werent through 2 monitors prior to this before she was even 1 because they kept crapping out. I was hoping the quality of this one would be superior as the reviews I read were great. I was a bit disappointed that our monitor started having issues before wed even used it for one year. The volume button started being weird and the monitor would turn the volume all the way down by itself. It also would zoom in and out randomly on its own or turn on the screen even though I had put it in sleep mode. I contacted customer service about it, as it was just barely under the 1 year warranty, and Zeil was extremely helpful. They replaced the monitor unit for me right away with out giving me trouble at all. The new one I got seems like it is even a bit more improved since the last one or maybe the last one always just had something a little bit wrong. Every now and then the old one would turn on the noise by itself and the the ANR would kick in again. This one does not do that. Again, i love the monitor and its fantastic quality as far as picture, zoom and sound. I just really hope this one doesnt start having problems again less than a year from now. If so, its cheapies here on out for me. Fingers crossed because i do love it!

Weve used this for over a year now, and as any parent can tell you a baby monitor that is no-fuss is critical, and this one fits the bill. It is expensive, but weve seen friends with kids have non stop issues with wifi connected ones. There is no reason to use your home network with this one, it uses its own dedicated channel. No way to creep on it either since it isnt connected to wifi

My husband and I have had this monitor since late 2021. It worked great up until a few months ago. It started loosing sound. Restarting it would fix it, but that gets annoying after a while. The next issue is that the battery life isnt good anymore. It drained today from full to 1 bar within 2 hours of being unplugged, screen only on to check on my napping baby, then off again. Ill be ordering a new battery, but Im not sure Id recommend this device.

    Greater than one week

I bought this monitor after a month of almost going crazy with my Motorola PIP1610. It was absolutely horrible and never stayed connected but I am here to say that this monitor is the BEST OF THE BEST! It was incredibly easy to set up and mount on the wall. It literally slides right onto a nail. I have had no issues with connection, the screen is super clear and I love that it has volume controls easily accessible right at the top the parent unit. Also the noise reduction software is out of this world. My previous monitor would haunt my dreams with the white noise coming through the unit even on the lowest setting. The difference between having the noise reduction on and off on this monitor is crazy and it truly blocks out 95% of the sound associated with my Hatch for white noise. I cant recommend this baby monitor enough. It is reliable, great quality, and worth every penny. Dont be discouraged like I was that it doesnt have an app to view on your phone in culmination with the parent unit. After having a baby monitor that had those capabilities but the rest of the functioning was horrible, I wont miss it for a second. This is the baby monitor to get!

This is by far the BEST baby monitor we’ve used. The picture is so clear, and it isn’t automatically zoomed in close where it’s hard to position it correctly (our Motorola one did this and it was so frustrating). The two-way speaker is pretty instant and the sound is clear without static or pause. We love it!!!

The Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO video baby monitor is our most advanced monitor yet. As a parent, you want digital security without internet connectivity for an added layer of protection against hackers that may be able to access your camera over the internet. Operating on 2nd-generation FHSS frequency in a closed-loop system that does NOT utilizes your home WiFi, only YOU can see and hear your baby. The DXR-8 PRO features cutting edge features such as Active Noise Reduction (ANR), a high definition display, and interchangeable lenses. ANR is an option that can be toggled on or off to filter any background noise such as fans, air conditioners, humidifiers, and air purifiers, that are commonly heard on baby monitors as "static noise". When it comes to video clarity, the monitor features a 5" ultra-clear LCD display at 720P resolution with enhanced night vision. The three-step digital zoom can be operated with the optical zoom lens (included) so that you can zoom in to see your baby sleeping in 6x zoom without causing the pixelation and blurring seen on other monitors. All functions are controlled on our next-generation user interface. Dedicated volume and brightness controls on the top of the monitor unit. Brightness of the LED lights (power and LED sound bar) can be dimmed so it won"t shine your room bright at night. Standard features such as two-way talk back, sleep mode, night vision included. Monitor wakes instantly from sleep mode with a press of any button. Pair with portable battery pack (sold separately) for up to 24 hours battery life. Comes with manufacturer"s 1 year warranty, extendable to 2 years for free upon registration. Note: predecessor model DXR-8 camera units are NOT compatible with the DXR-8 PRO.
