> 3 dayWe have used Infant Optics for 3 years now. We started with the DXR-8 baby monitor, and when it was dropped outside and broken, we switched to the DXR-8 Pro. We have 2 cameras for 2 children and they are so easy to connect. Recently we had an issue with the monitor itself not showing the children, it would just play audio. I contacted the Customer Support team with Infant Optics, and Emma C was AMAZING. She followed up with me multiple times after she helped me resolve the issue. After 2 months of this issue the monitor gave out (The monitor was 2 years old). Emma went above and beyond. She informed me that the monitor was no longer in warranty, but she still wanted to help me any way she could. After Sending her proof of purchase and the serial number she had a new monitor sent to me, the only thing that was not covered was the shipping back to the company, and battery was not included. Emma knew that with 2 children, I needed the broken monitor for audio, until the new one arrived. That is not how infant optics normally conducts business due to customers never sending back the monitors, but she made an exception. I have nothing but praises for this company, and product. I will be a lifetime customer, whether for myself or purchasing gifts for others.

> 3 dayI wanted something that wasn’t on wifi or easy to hack. This is great. I sleep so much better at night having this. Quality is good. Sound volume is wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a nursery cam.

> 3 dayWe used the infant optics for the first year and a half with our son- during that time we ended up moving & we unfortunately lost it, so when we got pregnant with our second I knew immediately Id be purchasing the same monitor again for when baby #2 arrives in June! We went with the Pro this go around and its incredible!! If there is one product I recommend to moms, its this video monitor system! Im sure we will be purchasing a second camera in the near future as well!

> 3 dayWe upgraded to the DXR-8 Pro a little over a year ago to replace our DXR-8 that we left at our family’s house so we wouldn’t have to bring it back and forth (we still use the old model when we are visiting and it is still great). We were so impressed with the new features of the DXR-8 Pro and love the larger color screen on the monitor. We have 3 cameras paired to the monitor and it really makes it easy to adjust volume and to change cameras with this new model. Even more impressive than the products is the level of responsiveness from the customer support team when we had a pairing issue with our monitor. We reached out to them over email and had a response back same day with incredibly thorough responses and ideas. After trying to troubleshoot without success, the customer support team helped us step by step to request a replacement monitor and got it sent to us quickly. We really can’t remember the last time we have had such a positive customer support experience. We would highly recommend infant optics!!

> 3 dayWe held off for years on buying a daily-use video monitor - mostly because of poor reviews from other brands, while still desiring a no-wifi monitor that was HD and well rated. With our third baby due this fall, we were so excited to see the release of the DXR-8 PRO! The big HD screen is exactly what we wanted in a HD no-wifi monitor! We do have an older non-wifi video monitor that we use only in travel situations, while continuing to use an audio-only monitor at home. There are a couple of reasons for why we have stayed audio-only at home, and these are the two items I want to focus my review on why the DXR-8 PRO is an amazing monitor system and has now replaced our need for our audio-only monitor. 1.) Night vision 2.) Active Noise Reduction (ANR) Night Vision Our older travel video monitor system has night vision, but the infrared lights on that monitor were not very high quality. Both of us and our children could actually see a little bit of red glow on that systems infrared LEDs that surround the camera. Might not be a problem for some, but we have trained all our kids to sleep in the pitch dark. Monitors become distractions if they generate too much light. Now, onto the DXR-8 PRO. This unit uses high quality infrared lighting, we couldnt see any glow with our eyes from this unit. Additionally, the green LED light on the front of the camera unit DIMMED to a lower brightness when night mode activated. We were grateful for this feature! On the monitor side, the night vision is very clear. See the attached picture and remember that we keep our rooms PITCH DARK. The camera is able to see our middle child just fine in the crib in a pitch dark room! Active Noise Reduction The other problem we didnt like with our travel video monitor system was it had no sensitivity to room noise. This was a feature we really have come to like on our audio only monitor. On the DXR-8 PRO, they added ANR to help with this issue. We have been very impressed so far! The monitor does give a fair warning that it doesnt work that well with SOME sound machines, but it has worked perfectly with ours! We do have the video monitor several feet above the crib on a wall mount, and the sound machine is on the other side of the room. That may help, but regardless - the monitor is not passing the sounds of the sound machine or the house ductwork. While ANR might not be as fancy as our audio-only units with sensitivity levels (you cant adjust the cut-in point), it definitely does the job of not bothering us with most of the unnecessary noises, while still cutting in and letting us hear our childs crys or talking noises. The only super MINOR issues we have with DXR-8 PRO are trivial. The temp gauge on the camera is not accurate (in the picture you see it says 64 degrees, dont worry! Our house is not that cold, the house is much closer to 70 / 71 at the time of the photo). And finally, as I mentioned we keep our rooms PITCH DARK, which includes our room. The lights on the baby monitor are dimmable, and we just flip the monitor face down next to us so any accidental screen activations dont brighten up the whole room, however, the very tiny charging light on the side turns blue when fully charged - and its a little more light than wed like to see. I say this is super minor though - if you have ANY tiny bit of light in your room, you wont even see this, but we notice it because our bedroom is 100% pitch dark and this light provides enough light to illuminate some things. We plan on covering it up with a very small piece of electrical tape. If I had but one tiny feature suggestion, it would be a setting to turn off the charging indicator light on the side of the unit. Im sure its a nice feature for most people, however, as it allows you to plug in the monitor in a dark room and know that the unit is charging without turning on a bright screen to see the on-screen battery indicator. We would just be turning that light off, if there was a setting for it. All-in-all, we LOVE this unit. This is a camera unit we will be recommending for years to come to anyone who needs a good camera and doesnt want to have any security risks with wifi based cameras.

> 3 dayI did so much research for baby monitors but this one is so nice. Not only do I love the fact that it is not connected to WiFi but it’s good quality and easy to use.

> 3 dayWe originally bought a Miku because we liked how it monitored babys vitals without something like the Owlet sock. We ended up returning it because it didnt have a monitor and if you didnt want to attach it to your wall, you had to buy a $100 stand, which is insane for a piece of plastic. We chose this camera instead and are so happy with our decision. It is small and compact, making it easy for travel. If you dont want to attach it to your wall, you can buy a mount for it that can easily attach to the side of any crib or bassinet. We use it on our bassinet while our son is sleeping before we go to bed. The screen quality cant be beat. We can see everything so clearly with the amazing night vision. We always have a fan and a noise machine running, and the noise cancelation eliminates both almost completely. The detail and live feed is so accurate, I can see my son breathing under his Halo sack. It has a wide and a normal lens that are easily interchangeable. The cords for both the monitor and camera are very long and thin in case you need to connect to a distant wall outlet. If you dont have the monitor plugged in, you get a decent amount of battery time before it needs to be charged again. It is easy to move the camera angle from the monitor in case baby moves around. While this doesnt have an app for your phone, we decided we didnt need one. An app will drain your phone battery, and if you are monitoring baby, you cant do anything else on your phone. For example, I frequently use my phone for recipes, so if I was cooking while baby was sleeping, I couldnt properly watch him. The monitor is the perfect size, not too big or too small, has a great battery life, and is easy to move around and position with a kick stand -- so no phone app is needed. Lastly, the signal is really, really good. We took the monitor outside to shovel snow and had no connectivity issues with the camera that was inside and on the second floor of our house.

> 3 day100% would purchase again! Great picture quality for day and night vision as well, and even without the special zoom lens you can zoom in and see the picture pretty well. What made me really love this brand/camera is the customer service. About two months after using the camera for some reason it would not turn on unless plugged in. It would be fully charged, but I’m guessing there was an issue with the power button or some kind of glitch. I reached out to customer service and after trying multiple things to help me figure out what was wrong, they sent me a brand new monitor free of charge next day! I did have to return the old/broken monitor but they also included prepaid shipping label which made it super easy to return. 10/10 would purchase again for quality of camera and excellent customer service.
