> 3 dayPurchased this Infant Optics DXR 8-PRO after recommendations from several friends in 2021. I previously had a Motorola baby camera and let me tell you the picture quality between the Infant Optics and Motorola camera doesn’t even compare. The Infant Optics has amazing night vision picture quality as well as day time picture quality. The cameras and monitors have worked great for daily use. This past month the monitor started shutting down when I would switch to scan mode- but a quick contact with Vanessa at Infant Optics Customer Service center had a new monitor being shipped to me the same day. Vanessa was quick to understand my issue and resolve my problem despite my monitor being outside the warranty dates. I would definitely recommend this baby monitor- not only for the quality of the cameras, but for the customer service you will receive!

I purchased a defective monitor. My screen started to glitch and cut out within a week of me purchasing. I reached out to infant optics and their customer support was amazing. They sent a new monitor and it works perfectly. I’m very pleased with their products and the support I received. I recommend this product to any new parents/parents in general. Very easy to operate and you will not get a clearer image with any other system in my opinion.
Greater than one weekI 100% recommend infant optics products. Their customer service is wonderful and you will not find a clearer camera system in my opinion.

> 3 dayI am a huge fan of infant optics and have recommended them to all my friends. Their customer service is the best as well. I had an issue with my monitor and they stayed in touch until the issue was resolved. It is very easy to add a second monitor. We keep one in a case for easy travel / moving around.

> 3 dayIt’s such a great monitor and camera! And I love that I got it. The picture is nice and clear, especially the night vision. The reason I gave it a four star and not five is because in order for it to show color, you have to be in a very very bright room. The picture where the monitor is in color is in my living room that has a big window, however, it’s only in color because I have a bright light on also. Without the light on, it would show in black and white. Also, when I hit the talk button, the person in the room with the camera cannot hear me too well when I speak. I have to speak pretty loudly. Lastly, the monitor doesn’t last too long off of the charger. I say 6hrs max. Other than those issues, I really love this camera and monitor.

> 3 dayI cannot say anything bad about this product OR the company! I had an issue with my monitor and I was able to get a replacement so easily! With another baby on the way, I am so grateful that I was able to fix my issue. The company is so reliable and goes above and beyond for their customers and for that, I will be a customer for life!! The monitor connection can reach far enough for me to be able to go hang out outside at a campfire or enjoy our large yard! The quality is top notch and I LOVE that it doesn’t need WIFI! Best monitor and camera on the market by far. You’d be doing yourself or a family a disservice if you were to go with a different baby monitor :)

> 3 dayThe battery lasts like 3 hours from a complete charge to the red blinking low battery indicator. This is with brightness on the lowest setting, too - if that even makes a difference. I have to use it plugged in overnight and then the monitor gets hot so its kinda sketchy. Other than that its a great camera...just wish the battery would last 16 hours like it says on the box.

> 3 dayThe quality is amazing and honestly so happy to be able to buy additional cameras to add to it and the scan is perfect to scan through EACH different camera over and over again. I have recommended it to EVERYONE I know that is having a baby! Also something happened to my camera not sure what and I emailed the company and they answered so quick and handled it in the best way and solved my problem within a week!

> 3 dayThe camera is good so far. Resolution is good, havent had any range issues. The Active Noise Rejection cuts down the white noise machine significantly but not completely (which is fine, they never claimed it would work 100% with noise machines). One problem Ive noticed is the audio level indicator takes quite a bit of noise before it registers at all, which is a bummer since wed hoped to use it in audio-only mode with the volume down just using the meter. My guess is this is related to the ANR and would be more sensitive if it werent trying to cut out a noise machine, but I havent tested it. Not sure on the battery life yet, we mostly keep it plugged in. So overall, great monitor so far. Unfortunately, after you register the warranty they coax you HARD with a free second camera (normally $100) into joining some loyalty club, which involves writing a review wherever you bought it. Its not 100% clear if youd get the camera if you dont give them five stars, but they make it super clear they REALLY want you to give them five stars. I think this is a good enough product that the reviews would speak for themselves without this sketchy solicitation. They seem to already have a good reputation so I dont know who thought this was a good idea, but it was disappointing and guts my trust in the company from the get-go.

> 3 dayThis is a pretty solid monitor. I like that it’s always running and there is no delay. I also like that it’s got a great range in the house and the battery life is good. The volume and ability to talk to the baby work really well. One of my complaints, and why this isn’t 5 stars are: -the lenses it come with aren’t really my taste. For $11 you can get the wide lens, which is way better. It’s not a deal breaker but for $200 for a baby monitor, it should come with all 3 available lenses. -Also, it’s a little annoying that the picture is always in black and white. When there is adequate lighting, the picture flips over to color. I understand that it’s the night vision mode at work, but that’s sort of defeats the purpose of having an HD full color baby monitor to me. Most people put their baby to bed in a dark, quiet room. So the monitor will never be in color when you are checking in on the baby. They need to use a better camera.

Greater than one weekWhen we had our first baby two years ago, we received the DXR-8 as a baby shower gift and have been using it every night since. As we are expecting our second child, we were debating between getting a second webcam or trying a different monitoring system. We happened to find out that Infant Optics had an upgraded product and decided to give it a try since we really liked using and were familiar with the previous version. Pros: - Night vision is so much better with the Pro due to the higher resolution. I can make out features through the crib railings when it was blurrier before. - Larger screen that allows me view the whole crib now (webcam about 8 feet away from the crib). With the previous version, I would have to move the webcam left and right since my child has a tendency to roll around the crib throughout the night. -Menu options are almost the same as the previous version. The options have a small detailed description about what it does instead of having to find the owners manual to see what each options are. The Pro has dedicated volume and brightness buttons which is convenient in the middle of the night. -There is a noise canceling option which has been working for us so far. We normally play white noise (via google mini within a feet of the webcam) in my childs room and even though it says not to use it at the same time, I can still hear when he cries out and not hear the static from the white noise with the option turned off. Cons: - Our monitor unit arrived with pieces of plastic underneath the screen, but we have been in contact with Infant Optics and are getting a replacement sent. - The monitor charger is no longer a micro USB but rather a barrel jack type power supply. It was convenient to have micro USB as the charger for plugging in the monitor as that type of input is common. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product for those that dont want to have an internet based/network baby monitoring system. I will update how it works with two webcams when Baby#2 arrives.
