InSinkErator Garbage Disposal with Power Cord, Badger 5, Standard Series, 1/2 HP Continuous Feed, Black

My previous InsinkErator lasted 20 years so made sense to purchase again.

The garbage disposal was barely on and started smoking instantly

I replaced a 12 year old 5-84 unit with this one. I had to use the quick mount collar from the old unit. Otherwise this one wouldn’t have mounted correctly to line up with my existing drain. I would have either had to reroute the drain fittings or put a new sink flange in. It took me about an hour to figure this out and put the new unit in. I’m glad it came with the plug and cord pre wired.

First time I have replaced one. Easy to install, follow the instructions, keep the old one close so you can look at it as your installing the new one.

Love this model, quiet easy to use!

It does not come with any kind of a switch which I knew. I added and air switch which worked well instead of running electrical wires.

I was able to install this under my sink in less than a half hour. I already had a third horsepower model that came with the house. This new one is quieter and works just as well or better. I havent really tested its power.

This item was I stalled by my husband and is working great.

I have NEVER done any type of home repair and was able to install in about 15-20 minutes. It works great!!!

Replaced an older version of this model that pooped out. Very easy to install. (Watch a great YouTube vids). It’s definitely quieter that the old one. So far, so good.
