> 3 dayI am the least handy man. My wife cringes when it comes to honey do list. Our old one broke so I bought this one. I watching a you tube video and read the directions as i was studying for a final exam. After a few curse words during the installation, I was happy with the ease. Saved money from having a plumber come out. Don’t forget to buy plumber putty if your switching out the sing ring.

> 3 dayI purchased this unit to replace another In-Sink-Erator disposal that was about 15 years old and was starting to leak. I believe that all In-Sink-Erators use the same mount, I could have just left the old one in there and just used the twist mount to clamp the new on. However, I wanted the new shiny drain sleeve that was supplied with the new disposal. Also, I was able to apply new plumbers putty and seal up the drain sleeve again. Probably installing the drain is the hardest part of the install. Plumbing was already in place, so it is super easy to replace that. This version comes with a NEMA 5-15 electric cord attached. The previous disposal was direct wired. So, I installed a plug in the 4 junction box instead of direct wiring it (see picture). That was probably easier and will make future replacements even faster. Overall, I think I had this installed in less than 30 minutes. Basic tools and some plumbers putty are necessary to install the drain. Ive installed 4-5 In-Sink-Erators and Ive been overall pleased with all of them. This one is lower cost and a little louder than more expensive models.

> 3 dayWhen my old disposal burnt out, I dreaded changing it out. This was an upgraded version of what was installed previously in my house, so that combined with the reviews steered me this way. I didnt have to change the other hardware, etc. which saved time on installation. The noise level is acceptable, not really too loud. Whoever suggested using a car jack to help hold the disposal in place while installing it is a genius. Definitely use that tip. It made installation a lot easier. The directions were easy to follow. No issues, hopefully this is the last one I will change out at this house.

> 3 dayThis is the best garbage disposal and I have a small under sink area- this was big enough to do the job and quiet enough and efficient for keeping kitchen clean

> 3 dayThese disposals are well made and very easy to install. This is the third unit in over 20 years, they are certainly durable, as we use it daily.
