I bought this InSinkErator Badger 5 to replace an old Badger 9 model. I did not want to replace the sink chrome ring/quick disconnect mount. Thus, I took a gamble, and assumed that the quick disconnect mounting system for InSinkErator are all the same. For the 2 models mentioned, yes, the mount was exactly the same. Thus, replacing the Badger 9 with the Badger 5 was simple and straight forward. New disposer is quiet. Came with power cord, which I understand, is not always the case.

We bought like new, it was like new however the power cord was not in the box so we had to buy another. The box said it came with it.

Instructions were great....followed installation tutor via You Tube....save yourself $$$....no need for a plumber! Took less than an hour to install!

Make sure to remove the plug that is installed on the dishwasher drain. When you connect the hose of your dishwasher to the garbage disposal unit, know that unless you punch off/remove the plug on your new unit that it will remain blocked and your dishwasher water will not drain out and get kicked back to your dishwasher. Ask me how I know.
