> 3 dayReplaced my old unit (same brand, size, & HP) due to old age. The new one runs great and does the job. I dont like to put a lot of stuff down the drain into the water treatment facility, so I use it sparingly. The old one lasted for 8 or 10 years, so if I get that out of this one Ill be happy.

Greater than one weekLess expensive than going to HD or Lowes, arrived next day. Getting old disposal out was a little difficult, sprayed with WD40 worked like a charm. Stacked book on top of a box in order to get to correct height to install new disposal by myself.

> 3 dayMy other brand disposal went out after only 18 months so I certainly didnt buy another from that company as they ignored my emails asking for them to honor their 2-5 year warranty (TEPPCO). This is a good brand based on reviews. Im 71 and certainly no plumber but removed the old one and installed this one in less than 2 hours including a trip to hardware store for plumbers putty (which they could have included a small quantity). Quiet and works great and no leaks so Im happy. UPDATE: in operation now for two weeks... humming away. Very satisfied so far.

> 3 dayEasy to install and simply plug in to work (replaced an older, 10 year Badger) - didnt have to mess with plug installation which was nice.

> 3 dayVery easy to install especially if your current sink trim ring is in presentable condition. My trim ring was okay but its rubber skirt was a mess. Good news is that a new skirt is provided with the unit and it does not requite removal of the trim ring to install the new one. I wish it was a little quieter. My sink is composite (inherently quieter) so I expected a little better. A stainless sink will likely be a bit noisier yet. Just a comment. Doesnt invalidate the overall goodness of the unit.

Greater than one weekHad to get a replacement and this one is exactly the same. I think the one that quit was more than 10 yrs old.

> 3 dayWhat I liked: It was in fact the direct model installed in my home therefore, I only replaced the body. What I disliked: Not sure it is really a dislike but it doesnt seem any quieter than the one replaced.

> 3 dayOk reader my old badger 5 that was 10 years old , no complaints even old one leaked. Previous owner abused everything. Easy install, all you need Is plumbers putty and a flat head screwdriver if replacing an existing unit. Note: do not use the black drain pipe that comes with it, not good quality. Also , it says to knock out the dishwasher drain plug with a screwdriver and hammer, I suggest drilling it out with a large drill bit or drilling the edges of the hole first , before knocking it out.
