InSinkErator Garbage Disposal with Power Cord, Badger 5, Standard Series, 1/2 HP Continuous Feed, Black

After 10 years, my current insinkerator crapped out, and started to leak water from the base. Look online for solutions, but the only solution was to replace. Ordered this immediately and it was very easy to install. The hardest part was just removing the old unit. After that was done, it was easy to mount back on as the brackets were the same (benefit of buying the exact same model). Works well, and hopefully can give me another good 10 years.

I am the most clueless aficionado plumber in the world, so due to the enough time available and because having people in the house is not recommended, I decided to install it in took 3 hours the whole process, where 2 hours trying to remove the old one, was rusty and with a lot of parts almost welded to each other. After that the new one only 1 hour easy piece, make a couple of tests and jeay worked.

Replaced a 20 year old disposal and boy it is so much quieter without loss of power.

We had one like this and purchased this one for our sons home. We were able to easily install this and solve their problem, non-working disposal. We are pleased with the performance of ours and anticipate that theyll have the same success with theirs. Reminder that it has a plug vs direct wire.

How much can you say about a garbage disposal? it was easy to install and does its job so 5 stars.

A little disappointed because it was expecting it to be able to be plugged in or hard wired but it was really only set to he plugged in. My husband had to take the wiring out and then re hardwire the mount. Other than that we are happy with this. Quiet and small but good work horse :)
