> 3 dayBadger 5 is small, compact, and lasted about 12 years. Installation took under 1/2 hour to replace as I used the existing connector from the sink. Disconnect dishwasher drain hose and drain pipes, turn old unit to disengage. Open knockout plug on new unit with a decent size screwdriver. shake knockout plug and throw away. Allign treads of new unit with existing sink connector and turn unit to connect and tighten. Hook up main drain and dishwasher drain and plug unit into CORRECT OUTLET under sink (controlled by switch next to sink) . Ready to go. Hardest part was that its a little heavy to hold unit up under sink to connect for an old geezer like me. Otherwise, easiest plumbing job youll ever do. Just follow the instructions to the letter, watch the video and do it. I love that under sink connector thats always compatible. Hope this one lasts as long as the previous one!

> 3 dayNoise level is off the chart. Very loud. Unit performs great & it’s a good value but not if your looking for a quiet unit.

> 3 dayJust installed product so no opinion yet on quality and durability. Direct swap for Badger 1 originally installed in the house. However two major differences. Fist is that the original unit was hard wired and this one was a plug in. Requires installation of a box. Not a big deal but unexpected. Second is that the original had a female threaded screw on attachment point for the drain and this one has a clamp on attachment. Requires me to go out and buy a new plastic drain pipe. Again not a big deal but unexpected. Hopefully this one will last awhile. My last one literally split apart and started leaking violently under the sink when we used it. No idea how that can happen but it did.

> 3 dayMy late husband installed this garbage disposal over 20yrs ago. So naturally when it finally died, I bought the exact same make/model. With the assistance of a leveling jack, because of weight, I was able to install this one by myself in less than 45 minutes. Probably would’ve taken him 20 minutes. But with the help of YouTube and prayer I managed on my own and it works fantastic.

> 3 dayVERY easy install if you currently have insinkerator brand ... took 10 mins total with testing to get up and running. Cannot speak to longevity, but price good even if lasts 5 yrs.
