04-06-2025Everything is there in the box. This one has the power cord!!! This version is for a new installation - has everything except dishwasher drain hookup coupler. Same price as just a replacement so why not put in everything new. The last one lasted 5 years before rusting itself seized. Very important - if you connect a dishwasher drain be sure to remove the knock out plug, look in the dishwasher connection - you will see what I am talking about.

> 3 dayOur old Badger 5 1/2 horsepower disposal eventually came apart after 20+ years of regular usage. Theyre built to last, but eventually it bit the dust. Rather than helping a plumber pay for a new Porsche I decided to buy this (after watching several YouTube videos on how to replace an under-the-sink disposal -- which I would recommend before attempting) I would rate this as an intermediate level DIY project. Certainly doable as long as youve got a few tools and some patience. INSTALLATION: Unfortunately, my existing disposal was directly wired. This model has a 3-prong cord, but its basically the same unit on the inside. I had to remove the cord (which was the most difficult part of the installation). Removing the old unit Youll need to be comfortable with electrical wiring if your setup doesnt have an outlet to plug into (that would be a much simpler install). Youll also need a screwdriver and some needle-nose pliers (or similar) for the wiring if not using the cord. A pipe-wrench is also necessary in most cases to remove the output hose from your pipes. Although this unit comes with the sink drain insert, I just used the existing one because the models were exactly the same. Otherwise, I would have had to remove and clean the old insert and I would have needed plumbers putty to attach the insert to the sink. Getting the exact model to replace (or most Badger models) was a benefit that saved a lot of time messing with putty. USAGE: Sounds a bit quieter than its predecessor and is able to handle pretty much any of the usual food scraps like orange peels, vegetable scraps, and other stuff like egg shells. Ive never used it for bones or anything too hard, so I cant comment on that. OVERALL: 5 out of 5 for the money savings over a plumber. Try getting a disposal replaced by a plumber for under $100 anywhere. Perfect little job for DIY (or call your DIY relative -- you know the one).

> 3 dayI ordered this unit to replace an existing insinkerator disposal. With a replacement unit you dont have to remove and reinstall the mounting system which saves a lot of time and frustration for someone who is not a plumber or a handyman like me. Make sure you check the unit you are ordering for electrical cord. Some units come with the cord pre-installed and some come without a cord. I wanted to use my existing cord since it was already installed by an electrician. The first unit I ordered came with an attached cord and I needed to send it back and get one without a cord.

> 3 dayWe put this on a sink that previously had no disposal. My husband and father had it done in no time. It works great! They said it was easy to install. So far it has worked without any issues!

Greater than one weekInSinkErator has ruled the garbage disposal market for decades, and with good reason. Compared to their competition, theyre better built, last longer, cost the same or less, and are far easier to install.
