Transferring files and applications are very easy. Meanwhile, I have a strong concern about its licensing restriction.While I was converting from old Laptop to a new one, there was an error and I had to reboot the laptops, but I could not use the software as one license was already used. So, I needed to transfer files manually from old laptop to new one without the software. I was very disappointed. Since a software can identify PCs, it should be technically possible to redo transfer between the same PCs.

Super easy... everything transfered, even desktop shortcuts. Follow the instructions and software walkthrough. Still will take some time, but way less than other transfer methods.

Be aware if the fact you can only use it between the two original PC’s. If you replace one of the PC’s you will need to buy another license. You CANNOT unregister one of the original PC’s or move the license. It is very clearly stated in the super fine print on box side panel!

The transfer was easy and painless. You need to read the directions several times and make a checklist for each PC before starting. Do your homework first and everything will go smoothly.

Im not especially tech-savvy, and found Lap-link PCmover easy to use, and had no problems.

This is great for transferring software and files from an old computer to a new one.

I was very apprehensive about doing the transfer on my own but it worked out beautifully. I used an external hard drive and although it took most of an afternoon, most everything transferred like it was supposed to. I had to install my older version of Word and Excel but I knew that going in. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend Laplink PCmover to my friends.
