Does this thing work? I dont know and Im not going to try; Their practices are just too sleazy for me. Yeah, I bought it and trying to do this thing right I called the Free Transfer Assistance advertised on their site. Wow, wonderful! something for older folks like me, to call and they will walk me through the process. They even access my computer to set up the software for me, how helpful can they be, eh? Well after downloading the app onto my old computer, the helper went into my registry and, surprise surprise, showed me all the little hanging bits that could be problems. But, all was not lost. Thankfully, their company could do a full clean up of my old pc for only $99! isnt that great? (My old computer works fine by the way). When I said no, she pulled the old talk to my supervisor thing and got a slight discount. wow! Then she warned me the PC mover company would not be responsible if we did the transfer and my new PC blew up or started smoking. Ok, she just said they would not be responsible if we transferred and anything did not work. Pay is the money or else: Typical strong arm stuff. So Im sending it back and washing my hands very thoroughly.

This program worked fine for transferring my data from an old laptop to a new one with a SSD (solid-state hard drive). However, at the end of the transfer, a window came up saying to select to receive a transfer report. I clicked on that but the report never came up. I did a restart on my new laptop, but the start-up failed with errors. I tried working with tech support, and they worked diligently to try to solve my problem with no success. I then went to HP for help (my new laptop is an HP). Even with a rescue flash drive the PC wouldnt start up. I sent the laptop to HP repair facility which I thought would require a Windows reload; however, they had to replace the SSD and then reload Windows. This program actually destroyed my SSD. If your new PC has an SSD, I would be VERY cautious about using this program.

It was so simple to use & it transferred everything without corruption or confusion. My old computer did not have an ethernet port, so it had to be done through the wireless network. It took 14 hours over the wireless. They say it only takes 3 hours with the included wire. I believe them. Even at 14 hours, start it after supper & it will be ready by breakfast.

We have used PC mover pro at least 20 times and have had great success. The only issues we have faced are with programs that are incompatible with windows 10. Other than that PC mover works great and I highly recommend it.

Used to move an old HP4600 workstation to a new computer. I first partitioned the single drive in new PC to match two different drive names on old computer. Absolutely amazing results! It moved everything with ease. Many games, open office, vpn client, 200 gig of pictures, printers, monitor configs, the whole works... No worries, it all worked on new computer.

Im not a fan of licensing schemes which tie a maintenance tool to a single PC. I only bought it to try to prevent loss of licensing for other installed software while migrating my daughters software from a failing PC to a new PC. It is difficult to find all of the old activation codes after a multi-state move when some things are still packed and unlabeled. It made the job easier, but not perfect.

I really wanted to believe that this would work. I needed to transfer from a Windows 7 to a Windows 10 machine. After hours of trying on my own, I even tried their tech support. They also gave up.

The PC Mover software worked as advertised and was easy to use. I would recommend this software as it is an easy transfer software.

This software was the reason I finally took the step to replace my dinosaur computer. The old computer still worked but it was slower than molasses in the winter.
