Greater than one weekHad no problems at all getting the computers set up and load the programs and then the transfer was as simple as clicking the start process. I would use this system again when I get my next new computer.

> 3 dayDo not expect this product to move your applications. If you dig deep you will see that this product will not transfer programs and apps. Do not expect this product to move all your files and settings. It moves some of them and its up to YOU the user to figure out which ones got moved, which files and setting are missing, and which are partial.

> 3 dayThis is the third time I have uses Pcmover to migrate my applications and data to a new computer. Going in I hoped the new version, Pcmover Professional 11, would be easier to use than my experiences before. Needless to say while earlier versions accomplished successful moves, the experience was tedious and time consuming, Pcmover hade it a sot easier than having to manually move data and reinstall applications and settings. My most recent move was from a 9 year old HP laptop to a new one. Having used Pcmover before I had the Ethernet Patch cable I used before so I just bought the software download. Download and installation on both laptops went smoothly and then I attempted to do the move. Installed my Ethernet cable and it did not work. Tried several times and no luck. Now without a USB transfer cable I attempted to use the alternate method of creating a Transfer file of the old laptops continents to an external drive and then to the new laptop. Transfer to the external drive completed after about 8 hours. I then started the transfer to the new laptop. All appeared going well but stopped at about 60% with: ERROR Transfer Interrupted: Undefined Error. Undid the transfer and started a new transfer. No luck. Failed again. Talking with my tech rep who was baffled about the failures I decided to order a USB transfer cable from Amazon. After I got the cable I started all over. Then after an overnight transfer I finally accomplished the move. Success after four days and buying the USB transfer cable.

Greater than one weekI used LapLink PcMover 3 years ago when I moved my 5 year old lap top to a new laptop, and it worked w/o a hitch. 3 years later it was time to do it again and I again chose PcMover. Again a flawless transfer between my old machine and the new machine. Flawless for sure..... IF you follow the instructions, pretty much to the letter. So, if you are good about detailed work and can follow instructions, then I believe that your experience will be like mine.

> 3 dayIve been using the PCMover software for a little over a year now and have migrated 10 computers running Windows 10 and Windows 7 Operating systems. The nice thing about the PCMover software is it brings over installed programs as well as the user settings to the new computer; eliminating the need to re-install and reconfigure the currently installed software.
