When I bought a new laptop for my wife I did not realize that Microsoft does not provide a way to transfer everything including programs to the new PC. A search and some reading led me to believe that PCmover would do the job. The new PC has a 500GB SSD and a 1TB hard drive. The old PC has a 1TB hard drive. I wanted to have pictures and documents transferred to the hard drive on the new PC and everything else to the SSD. I used an ethernet crossover cable for the transfer. A standard ethernet cable will not work with a PC to PC link. The on screen instructions were clear but I used the online Chat to confirm that I was proceeding correctly. That was an efficient and clear confirmation so I proceeded. The entire transfer went exactly as planned and everything is working well on the new PC. Thank you PCmover for saving the day!

The software worked grate but I did have some problems with my WI-FI so I had to connect using the cable that was supplied. I had to restart a few times but the software was able to pick up were it left off. The software copied all of my software and favorites but a couple of applications I had to install like QUICKEN. software is worth the money

I had use Laplink many years ago on an old to new PC and had no problems--perhaps the instructions were better 15-16 years ago. I bought this to move files from one laptop to another. No where in the limited instructions does it say that you have to offline in order to more quickly transfer files. Its actually faster, otherwise, to save to a portable hard drive and then copy to the new computer--only takes minutes, just annoying have to copy and then copy again to new computer. Didnt get very much helpful information from tech support either. It just wasted a couple of hours of my Saturday and about $60 of my money.

THE OLD LAPLINK WAS MORE VERSATILE AND EASIER TO USE.

Easy to use and did a great job. One caution, I used the cable supplied with the kit but the program defaults to using WiFi. After the transfer tech support told me I should have disabled WiFi on the computers.

No idea how well this software might work as I could not activate the installation, Box insert was missing the required code. After 10 days Laplink customer service has not responded to my complaint.

PC mover Ultimate 11 did exactly what what it said it would do. It transferred all my files from my HP Windows 7 laptop to my new HP Windows 10 laptop. I am definitely no IT wizard, so as the saying goes, If I can do it, you can do it!
