It transferred a huge amount of data from my old to new computer.

I had paid for a tech to setup a friends new laptop, and this did a better job than the paid tech.

NOT user friendly. It took many failed attempts to get the data transferred. THEN the SafeErase s/w TOTALLY DESTROYED my “old” $1000 HP Envy i7 laptop. Erased EVERYTHING. COMPLETELY BLACK SCREEN. Nothing left on it to boot. Talked to Tech Support and Cust Svc. Requested Refund. Have not heard anything from them for weeks. VERY HASSLING No-Hassle Returns. UPDATE: THEY ARE REFUSING TO REFUND MY MONEY BECAUSE the cable and SafeErase s/w were included in the package for FREE. BS!! I paid extra for the product that included the high speed cable and SafeErase s/w. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

Easy to use and when operator error occurred, Tech support quickly resolved the problem. Worked remarkably well.

Over the years, Ive used this software about four times. I have learned that, although it might not move everything, it makes moving to a new device very easy. I only had to reload a few things and update a couple of registration numbers on each occasion. If you have a lot of software and data files, I highly recommend this product. Ive also had a few occasions when I had to contact customer support. The people are quick to respond and have been helpful - taking care of my issues all of the time.

I needed to transfer a lot of files from a creaky old laptop to a new desktop PC. I read the positive reviews on this product and can only say that they were all correct. It probably took me 20 minutes from start to finish to install this software, fire it up, and successfully transfer all my files over (note: I used a USB cable). The files all came over fine, no file corruptions. I highly recommend this software!

I have never dealt with a more difficult program. Until I got customer support to send me a.link I struggled for hours trying to download the instructions that came with package.

I bought this to move a lot of software (25ish programs) to a new PC and it did save me from having to re-install. However, none of the licenses transferred so nothing would run after the reboot and I still had to hunt down all of the license keys. The 2nd issue is that my new system has 2 drives, a SSD (c drive) and a HD (d drive), and the software would not install to only the HD so I ended up with a bad mix of locations with arbitrary letters add for extra separation i.e. I have c:UserslewDocuments, c:UserslewgoDocuments, d:UserslewDocuments, d:UserslewgoDocuments. There was no way...even in the advanced tab to stop it from installing to the SSD. The single HD is a 2Tb so space was not an issue.

Ive used laplink since their first product back i the 1980s. This product works great cloning my old computer over to a new one. Nearly all of my old software worked flawlessly. The Registry was correctly setup so the software worked on the new computer like it did on the old one. The only software that didnt get transferred over was software that would not run on the new computer.
