Greater than one weekIts not really that complicated to get started with, but in order to get your data transferred in exactly the place where you want it to be located, you need to have a lot more tech savvy than what I have, thats where tech support comes in, I spent the better part of an hour on the phone with one of the representatives, after I turned my computer over to them in order to transfer my files out of One Drive and put them in my D drive, the person at tech support was very professional, and got my new pc configured exactly the way that I wanted it. If you are not very knowledgeable about pcs, and need to transfer the data from your old one to your new one, I would highly recommend going down this road, its the easiest, and fastest way that I can think of in order to do it, I might also add, that the tech support for this particular application is outstanding.

> 3 dayI used this on Windows 10 - very easy, but I did it over a wired LAN, which slowed down when anything used the network - I turned off updating for file sharing services like Dropbox, stop the PCs from downloading updates, and turned off anything like cell phones that were linked to the Wi-fi and that helped. I later bought the USB 3.0 transfer cable in case I had to do it again. Some programs worked straight away, even ones with passwords, but others had to be reinstalled.

> 3 dayWorked fine for the transfer but Laplink appears to use it as a bait and switch. They dont give instructions so you have to call their helpline. Theyll try to upsell you to have them clean your old system before you transfer for $100. Call them out and they drop to $70. Keep pushing and they come down to $40. By then I knew I was being had, turned down their service and transferred myself with no problem.

> 3 dayThe ethernet cable provided did not fit either one of my computers. Customer service was overall very poor. The first attempt at live chat, the rep introduced herself, asked me about my problem and then never replied. After 5 minutes of silence, I ended the chat. The phone service was very similar. The conversation would begin and then endless amounts of silence before rep would respond.

> 3 dayThe software does exactly what it advertises. All your programs, apps, settings, even wallpapers are transferred from the old computer to the new. But be aware that the process can take a LONG time, in my case 94 hours.

> 3 dayWe have used PC mover pro at least 20 times and have had great success. The only issues we have faced are with programs that are incompatible with windows 10. Other than that PC mover works great and I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayI had to upgrade from a Surface Pro 4 (W10) to a Surface Pro 9 (W11) after the old screen began to fail. This program made the process quite painless. The only programs that didnt transfer were ones that were out of date and needed new versions. There was a readout of the applications that successfully moved and those that didnt, but I couldnt print it out from the program. I had to copy and paste in Notepad to print it.

> 3 dayNot worth the price! I had problems with it from the beginning but was able to get it to work. Under the simple mode for transferring specific programs only, it still transferred core files from my old windows 7 PC even though they were unchecked, so I had duplicates of everything and my new PC wouldnt function right. I had to manually figure out how to remove the old windows 7 files bcz their support never answered my email and their survey on the program.
