Liftmaster 41c4220a Gear and Sprocket Kit for Chamberlain, Sears, Craftsman and LiftMaster 1/3 and 1/2 HP Chain Drive Models

Everything fit and went together perfectly. However, ever since I installed this my garage door opener doesnt work. If its fully open, it needs assistance from me to close. I checked dozens of times for a disconnected wire or adjustment out of whack. I cant figure it out.

This was just what I needed, it fit my garage door perfectly and had all the parts I needed and more. The only thing that could have been better were the directions. I had to watch a video and use my garage door directions together with their directions to know exactly what I needed to do. Other than that, it was great.

Product worked as expected.

I used this kit to repair my LiftMaster 2 bulb opener from 2001. It took quite a bit of time and having 2 sets of hands and a very good youtube video made it a heck of a lot easier. I have read some reviews stating that because it was so hard and took so long they removed 1 or more stars, but I cannot remove stars for that because the kit manufacturers have no control over how easy or not it is to repair your opener. Besides, these things werent designed with DIY repairs in mind. I am just very happy that I was able to repair my opener myself and not have to spend the $150-$250 to replace it! I only really needed two parts, but since I had it taken apart I used all but the keys. It didnt take any more time or any more difficult. All the parts fit into place correctly and did not take any redesigning or refitting. There were some places that they fit pretty tightly, especially one bushing, but I was able to get it into place using a piece of wood and a brass hammer. Use some of the included grease to make installation easier.

I saved so much repairing my opener instead of replacing it. The instructions were very good. The package included more than enough to do the job.

This is just what I needed to make my garage door opener like new. It should work for another 20 years.

This kit is awesome! I repaired an old-school dip-switch style craftsman 1/2 hp chain drive opener that had chewed its gears up. I replaced everything but the drive sprocket bushing that I couldn’t get out of the chassis. It works like new now.

Works perfectly and saved lots of $$$$ by doing it myself with this kit.
