I received and installed this kit yesterday. Unfortunately due to the ceiling to unit clearance I had to remove the opener to install, but working on a bench versus over my head was a good trade off. I read through the instructions once and never opened em again. Disassembly and reassembly is pretty much straight forward. A couple pointers I can share- the worm gear on the motor shaft is secured on with a collar that has two set screws in it. Once I removed the collar I took some 600 grit sand paper and lightly sanded the end of the shaft, this makes removing additional parts and bushing and installing new ones a breeze. Those set screws tend to indent the shaft a little bit and the 600 paper will clean those burred areas up and smooth em out. I did the same thing on the shaft end of the limiter drive unit, the motor and bracket go on as an assembly and it requires the limiter shaft to be aligned and installed as you set the bracket in. Because you use a new bushing for this shaft, I couldn’t get my motor to set without a little touch of 600 on that shaft and grease liberally. One other pointer I can give, I installed the chain and tensioned it with the door in the up position and the drive trolly nearest the opener. Directions say to make sure you run the opener prior to installing the chain until it completes one clock wise cycle. Because my door was up and that’s where I started it the opener must complete one counter clockwise cycle. Finished the install, locked the door to the trolly and only had to make small adjustments to up/down limiters and it’s perfect. Great parts, great seller. THANK YOU!

All parts were of equal size and shape. Opener is still operating as designed to do with these parts. Door is opened and closed on average of twice a day, 7 days a week depending on snow fall.

I heard a loud noise when opening my garage door. Then the opener would just buzz. I looked on YouTube and saw several videos that addressed this. After removing the opener cover, the broken sprocket was in pieces. This arrived quickly and was easy to install. Especially after watching YouTube videos regarding this brand opener. Very nice to spend less than $25 to be able to repair your garage door opener.

About 3 months ago, one of my 16 year old garage door openers quit working (I could hear the motor running but door wouldnt lift). I opened up the case on the garage door opener and saw that the main gear had stripped. I searched the web and ran across this kit. I figured I would give it a try. Well, it worked perfectly. I was amazed to be able to find repair parts for such an old door opener and was pleased that I could repair my door opener for around $20 instead of buying a new one. Installation took about an hour and a half. Was so pleased that when my other opener exhibited the same problem this month, I didnt hesitate to order another one.
