Liftmaster 41c4220a Gear and Sprocket Kit for Chamberlain, Sears, Craftsman and LiftMaster 1/3 and 1/2 HP Chain Drive Models

This was the perfect fix. My garage door motor would activate and a grinding noise could be heard but there was no movement. The main drive gear had ground off all its teeth. It was a easy fix and it now works great. I discovered my settings had got out of walk over time and the up travel was not stopping the door before it hit the stop. I believe that added strain on the nylon teeth resulting in failure. I set my limits correctly after the install and that took any added strain off the gear. I studied the videos on you tube on both this installation and setting the travel limits. Works as good as new.

Product did not appear to be oem despite description otherwise (for the price hard to expect it would be). Decent text instructions were included. While Im no expert and havent seen another similar new part, there was some play in the bushing, so Im guessing it will not last as long as the original. Overall was happy this vendor provided the part on prime.

This worked perfectly to restore my garage opener to full functionality. The original white plastic gear broke in half. We found a local repair service willing to use this kit to fix it, and charged $75. Hopefully, it will last at least another 5 years.

The part worked great. I only replaced the sprocket, all other parts looked fine. I tightened the chain too much on the original and it sheared right off. This was a cost effective solution and it only took about two hours, this was my first repair of this kind.

Everything fit and went together perfectly. However, ever since I installed this my garage door opener doesnt work. If its fully open, it needs assistance from me to close. I checked dozens of times for a disconnected wire or adjustment out of whack. I cant figure it out.

it was a perfect replacement for my opener. it took me about 2 hours for me to replace it along with cleaning parts from grease. My worm gear was not worn so i didnt replace it.
