Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

The joy cons that come with the Switch are total garbage. Besides the inevitable drift you’ll eventually get that will make the Joy Cons unusable, they’re really uncomfortable to hold, and the sticks and buttons feel awful. The Pro Controllers are the total opposite. They feel great, work great and keep a charge for a really long time.

In my opinion, it is the best controller out there for the Nintendo Switch. We have tried a few as well as the joycon handles. These have great batter life and are durable. I now have 4 of them because they are so excellent.

This remote is a must have addition when not playing handheld. The feel and usability are perfect, and the weight is amazing. Definitely recommend!

If you are a switch owner, this is a must have controller. This is probably my favorite controller of all time. The way it fits in my hands, it becomes a part of you. The buttons are clicky and the directional pad is much better than using the joycons. The battery life is amazing and it charges quickly through USB-C. If this worked cross platform fluidly, this would be my go to controller for all video games. Its very similar to the Xbox One controller, but the grips are a little bit thinner and Im just able to get a more solid grip than the Xbox One controller. After months of use, it still works and feels like new. The construction is solid and theres no flex in the plastic when you grip it tight during intense moments. Ive gone through probably 3 Xbox one controllers because the plastic starts to squeak after a few months of use and the buttons become unresponsive. So Kudos to Nintendo for continuing to make quality controllers. The NFC tag works nicely for scanning amiibos if thats your thing. One warning, and this may have been fixed with a controller update, but after not using one of the controllers for a few months, the battery drained and would only worked while plugged in. Even with charging for a few hours, it wouldnt charge. I decided to just leave it charging for a few days (using the provided Nintendo USB C to A charger plugged into the switch) and it worked again. The battery is the same as the 3DS battery and I guess when those are drained, they take a long while to charge. So for anyone whose controller wont charge, just try leaving it charge for a day or so!

It is expensive, but the battery life and comfort make it well worth it. I am a casual gamer and always used the joy con controllers, but after reading some reviews I thought I would give it a try and glad I did.

The Switch Pro controller is an amazing controller. I like everything about it, from the buttons to the analogue sticks. The HD rumble is great, and its just the right size for my hands. And dont even get me started on the battery life. This things battery lasts so long that I often forget it even needs to be charged every once in a while. But I cant give it a full five stars. Reason being that the point where the analogue stick makes contact with the edges of the controller cause some serious abrasion. This has happened to both my pro controllers, and gives the analogue stick endpoints a slight grindy-ness for lack of a better term. It probably wont do anything serious to the controllers longevity, but it makes it lose its premium feel after about ten hours of use. I would love it if Nintendo offered an elite option like Microsoft does for the Xbox One. Even if it matched its price of $150, it would guarantee a premium-feeling controller that would maintain its premium feel for hundreds of hours of gameplay.

Ive tried the knock off versions, and they are terrible in function compared to the Pro Controller. I have two and they are great. Pay up and get the right one, or just save your money.

I think that the xbox 360 controller set new standards in terms of quality. This controller is definitely a contender swinging right up there with the big boys. Both analog sticks and the d-pad feel and function just as you would expect them to. Really nice.

Everything about this controller is comfortable except the price. But, a good controller is always worth it.

This was a gift for my son, who is a big gamer. It was actually to replace the one he was using. He loves it and I believe uses it every day.
