Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

This controller is pretty good for people wanting an improvement over the Joy-Cons that come with the console. It has almost all of the features the Joy-Cons had (theres no IR sensor), it feels pretty good (doesnt feel cheap at all!), and it has a great battery life. Compared to the Switchs included Joy-Cons, this controller is larger and has a directional pad. Overall, its a very fantastic controller. However, if youre buying more than one, the price adds up rather dramatically, as they cost $60-$70 each. If you want a cheaper (but still great) alternative, PowerA makes Nintendo-certified USB controllers for under half the price, though these do lack motion control and rumble.

So I’ve bought two of these, one for my little sister yet and another for my little cousin. They both absolutely love it for gaming and hated using the joycons! The controller has a more comfortable hold and I’ve tested it and the gameplay experience is great! However, my little sister’s already has an occasional south drift on one of her joysticks which is frustrating since I got it for her in August and the controller isn’t cheap. But my cousin’s is perfectly fine and bought around the same time. It may depend on the player, but my sister isn’t rough when she plays at all, so it may just depend on the controller you get, so buy at your own risk! May want to consider purchasing at a store like Best Buy or target where there’s buyer protection you can buy along with it :)

I decided to by this controller instead of another set of joycons and grip because its cheaper and most people had preferred this over the joycon controller. After Playing Zelda and Mario Kart 8 with this controller for a few hours, it is a great controller and feels good, but I do prefer the joycons with grip because I like the feel of those joysticks and buttons better. The joysticks on this controller dont feel as precise to me because they arent as short. Everyone has their preference and this will be a great backup controller for me or for a second player to join in on a game.

This is the best you can get, I’ve tried many other options. It’s smooth, feels great, and battery life lasts days. I’ve never had it die on me while playing. I’ll play for 12+ hours and just charge it before bed.

Im glad that my friend told me about this controller for Switch as it is easier and faster to use than the original joy-cons that come with the system itself and it also gives you an advantage of having an extra set of controllers to use then with friends if you play on the same system as well. Its a good price as well for what you get from using it too so it is definitely worth the money getting this for your games.

If you are a non-gamer, and you are buying a Nintendo controller for a gamer THIS is the one they want. Save yourself the heartache. Those other cheaper ones wont do. They just arent as good.

Comfortable to hold, and functional (works perfectly!). At one point, tried a non-Nintendo equivalent ... looked *almost* the same, but just felt odd and uncomfortable. Returned that one, and got another Nintendo-brand controller (pro).
