This is a nice feeling controller. Its USB-C, weighty, and feels great in your hands with nice buttons. The battery life is also quite impressive. It stays juiced for a long time even with extended use. Easy to pair, easy to use. Highly recommend.

Feels like a quality piece of Nintendo peripheral out of the box. Links up to the Switch with no issues, with no noticeable intermittency during use in my experience. The Sony Dual Shock 4 has been my favorite gamepad for a long time, but Id say this beats it out by a small margin. The layout is great, and all the buttons and sticks feel very tactile with just the right amount of stiffness. The rumble that we expect from Nintendo controllers is back as well, and then some. As for the negatives, in my opinion, the cosmetic design is pretty ugly; it doesnt look like a consumer ready product, and appears more industrial. But being a pro controller [whatever that means], maybe this was the marketing intent. Additionally, for those Steam users out there, apparently Steam is working on native support for this gamepad, so there is some added value in that respect (hopefully Nintendo doesnt get in the way with that...you know how they are).

If you are a non-gamer, and you are buying a Nintendo controller for a gamer THIS is the one they want. Save yourself the heartache. Those other cheaper ones wont do. They just arent as good.

Its probably just the quality of all the Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers in general, but I dropped this thing once and the bottom left side has jutted out ever since. Otherwise, it works perfectly fine.

ive purchased a few non-nintendo controllers and theyre fine but compared to this they feel like knockoffs. The pro controller feels premium in its material, layout and button feel. The dpad i feel is decently underrated and as an avid cuphead player this works though i still am probably going to end up getting an 8bit anyways because I just need to know. But this is the real deal, dont buy knockoffs.

This OEM Nintendo Switch controller is an absolute must if your playing docked on your TV. It is much more comfortable than using two joycons with the controller they slide into (supplied with the switch).

This is the ideal controller for the Nintendo Switch. Ive been using the combined joy-cons for a couple years now, and once I picked this pro controller up, I realize what Ive been missing. The pro is a full-sized and comfortable controller for adult hands. The analogs and buttons have accurate force, although the d-pad is a little stiff. This will connect wirelessly to the Switch and Im also using it via the included usb to play PC games [Steam supported btw]. This is the only controller worth buying.

Very disappointed. I was excited to get this controller that everyone has been praising for being ergonomic and having a long battery life. Here are the problems I found: - The thumb pads are not sticky enough so my thumbs kept sliding around and I had to put a lot of pressure to keep my thumbs on without sliding. This was tiring. - The controller is way too big. I had to uncomfortably wrap my hands around the controller and felt like I was stretching my thumbs to reach the thumb pads. (I have normal sized hands for a man whose 5’10”) - The thumb pads were too tall. This meant I had to stretch my thumbs even further. - The - and + buttons are further from the neutral thumb positions than on the joycons. Making reaching them take slightly longer. - The - and + are barely raised above the controller surface. So, they’re harder to find tactically. This is something I could probably get used to eventually. - The cherry on top for me was that L and R buttons sometimes don’t register when you push them past their “clicking” point. You have to press them just a hair harder for them to register. This meant when I was pressing them quickly in-game, that every few button presses were skipped. I don’t know if this a defect or what but. I don’t like buttons that click but don’t register instantly. So in short, the controller wasn’t ergonomic or comfortable for me. The regular joycons on a controller mount are a million times more ergonomic and comfortable for me.

I like the pro controller. Just wish the letters and numbers on the buttons were in a different color besides black. They are almost impossible to see.

This is a great controller. It has a roughly 40 hour battery life, it is far and away a better experience than using the Joy-cons on the comfort grip or by themselves, and it feels very sturdy and well made. It is very reminiscent of an Xbox controller and I really prefer using it for Zelda while Im playing on my television. Overall I really like the controller but I just dont see why it is more expensive than a dual shock 4 or Xbox One controller. Maybe considering the battery last much longer and it has NFC for the Amiibo figures but I just didnt see $70 here. While I can recommend it since it is a great controller and currently is the only option besides the Joy-con controller I cant recommend these scalped and inflated prices that you see while stock is limited. If you can find it for $70 and you really wanted the full controller like I did, then go ahead and get it otherwise it may be worth it to see the other options coming out in the next few months.
