Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

Greater than one weekPerforms at least as well as the joycons in every way. More comfortable than the joycon mold thing. Face buttons feel good, not my favorite but at least as good as joycons buttons for most purposes. R/L and ZR/ZL feel extremely smooth, the best bumper and triggers of any controller imo. The joysticks are the smoothest Ive ever used, like butter. The sensor doesnt seem to function any differently from the joycons, but most people seem to prefer aiming in Splatoon with this and I agree. It might just be that the sensor is coming from the center rather than the right joycon. Could also just be the familiarity of holding a more traditional controller making the gyro aiming feel more natural. Either way, I prefer it.

> 3 dayI tried playing kingdom hearts on my switch, having done so before on playstation, and the drift was so bad that I am not sure I want to even play it on switch again. Its not old, but the drift issues begin as soon as its powered up.

> 3 dayEven my tiny lady hands cant take using the Joy-Cons on the straps or on the small controller included with the console for long periods of time without cramping up. 8 hour sessions of Zelda or Xenoblade would get to be pretty brutal without the pro controller. The long battery life is splendid and it feels amazing to not have to stop playing on one of my few free days for a while so my controller charges because I can literally play all damn day without needing to hook up the usb. Its super comfortable, has a nice weight to it, and I love the d-pad on this (all the buttons feel good, but the dpad gets a special mention). It kind of reminds me of the Xbone d-pad, its quite satisfying and I have a feeling itd lend itself very well to any future fighters the Switch might get. And yes, it has the fancy rumble just like the joy-cons do and it feels just as nice here. I initially didnt see the need in a separate controller for my Switch, but after my left joy-con started getting the desync issue I finally caved and ordered one. Nintendo was likely to wipe my Switch during the repair and I was not too thrilled at the idea of buying a whole new set of joy-cons. I figured if the left one worked great still attached to the screen when I played it portable, why not just leave the joycons attached 24/7 and just get the Pro and never worry about syncing issues again. Im very glad that I did because this makes long gaming sessions 10x better. Also special shout out to the slick design on this because it looks super cool.

> 3 dayThis product is very good so far, the texture of the A,B,X, and Y buttons are so satisfying to feel and press. The ZL and ZR are also satisfying to press but the texture is different, its more rubbery. Basically the buttons feel good. I thought the rumble would be a little stronger but its at the same power as the joycons, but the rumble still feel a little weaker because the pro contoller shell is thicker than the joycons, but the controller does have HD rumble, NFC, motion controls, etc. This controller is easily one of my top 5 controllers. Its worth the price if you decide to pick one up. I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayDefinitely worth the extra money compared to other 3rd party controllers the tension on the control sticks is perfect and being able to wake up the console and not having to pair it every time you use it justifies the extra money in my opinion

Greater than one weekI bought this because the flat, small shape of the joycon/controller hurt my hands after playing for any length of time. I play with the Switch docked and this new controller has enough heft to it that it doesnt cramp up my hands. It connected easily the first time and every time since.

> 3 dayI prefer using this over the standard Joycons that come with the Switch. Those are a little too small and unwieldy for my taste. This controller uses a solid design that mimics the Xbox 360. They claim that you will get up to 40 hours of play time from a single charge which I believe since I have never been close to draining it yet. My only real con is the price. I dont know why these need to retail for $70. I think $50 would be a more realistic but I wont fault the controller itself based on the price. Obviously people (myself included) are buying them for this price...

> 3 dayAuthentic Nintendo product. Worth every penny over cheaper, less reliable knockoffs.

> 3 dayHard to pair via the blue tooth- took forever to get it to work and several you tube videos…but after it paired, it works well.
