> 3 dayI have other smart plugs that are wider but still the slim style and they were setup using the Smartlife app. These Nooie plugs also work with that app but I couldn’t Add Manually by selecting the Socket (WiFi) device. The way to add them is by selecting Auto-Scan and not Add Manually. Make sure the WiFI network name and password are entered in the app. Push and hold the power button on the Nooie plug for 5 seconds and release and the LED will be flashing. The app should find the plug in a minute or two and then notify you that there is an upgrade available. Perform the upgrade and you’ll be done with the setup. My other plugs show electric usage stats which these do not, but these do have a random program cycle instead which is useful for security. Recommended for lighting and places that you don’t want a smart plug to be noticeable and don’t need 10A or 1200W of power.

Greater than one weekI have read several reviews talking about how difficult these are to pair with the Nooie app. I had that difficulty on my first try, but then noticed a trick that worked every time for all 4 outlets. First, things to know. Im using a google mesh network that is a hybrid 5GHz/2.4GHz system. Google does NOT allow me to select which one is being used, but these Nooie plugs found the 2.4GHz just fine (while my phone was connected to 5GHz). I downloaded the Nooie app, and got to the section to add a plug (easy enough to find in the app). The app asks if the white light on the plug is blinking. Of course, its not. You have to hold the power button on the plug for 5 seconds to reset it, and then it will start blinking. It blinks for maybe 10 or 15 seconds, then stops. Back to the app, click the plug is blinking button (cant remember exact words), and it will start a countdown timer for 90 seconds while it tries to connect, and it will also ask for your wifi network name and password. You enter this info, and wait the 90 seconds and. . . NOTHING, no connection. Well, remember how I said the light on the plug only blinks for 10 or 15 seconds? You MUST enter your wifi network name and password quickly, while the white light on the plug is STILL blinking. If you do this, then the 90 second count down timer in the app will count for about 30 seconds or so, and then connect. I figured this out on my 2nd try (I mean, when a light stops blinking after 10 seconds, its suspicious), and they all paired fine after that. Yes, this design is ridiculous! Why does the plug only blink for 10 seconds, while the app makes you think you have 90 seconds? I have no idea, but basically, once the plug stops blinking, I think its done broadcasting its signal and becomes undiscoverable. As long as you get your info into the app while the plug is still broadcasting, it connects perfectly. Actually, I got a notification each time from my Google Home app immediately when they paired (a new device has joined your network), even though the Nooie app took about 20 more seconds to tell me they successfully paired. Once paired, the Nooie app lets you name the plug, and its easy enough to navigate through the app and set up timers, manually turn the plugs on and off, etc. My Google wifi recognized them all as a device called TY-WR, all the same name but with their unique MAC addresses. But in the Nooie app, its super easy to give them better names, etc. Once you know that you only have 10 seconds to pair them, instead of the 90 seconds the app leads you to believe, these all pair very easily. I had zero problems, and Im on a hybrid 5GHz/2.4GHz network that doesnt let me choose. The plug just showed up in the app right on the 2.4GHz signal. Final Rating: 5 stars for the product --- IF you know how to pair them!

22-11-2024I bought a four pak of these smart plugs to control the Christmas candles in the windows of my home. Before, we went room to room plugging them in or, in some rooms, hitting an outlet switch behind a piece of furniture. Not so great. These plugs make it simple, just tell Alexa when to turn them on or off and its done. They are a long treacherous path from the WIFI router and they do fine. Why four instead of five? The app. After struggling for an hour or so trying to pair them using it I remembered another reviewer saying he chucked their app and set them up with Smart Life. Twenty seconds each to pair, a few minutes to figure out how to create a group on the Alexa app and all is well

Greater than one weekI bought these plugs to turn on and off my christmas tree and christmas lights this year. They were very easy to setup and the app works great. What initially attracted me to these plugs was the size. The plug for my christmas lights is outside and plug is in a box that closes. I needed a plug that would fit in the box and also allow me to plug in two wifi enabled plugs to one box that has two spaces for plugs. They are slightly smaller in width than a standard wall plate for a plug so they fit with some room to spare inside the box and still allow the cover on the box to close. Also you can place two of these plugs in right next to each other. Way to go on the size Nooie. They also work great and the setup was easy with the app. The app works great as well although I do use Alexa to control them. Setting them up with Alexa was very easy as well. I also use these plugs for controlling some lamps to make it look like I am at home. I am very happy with these plugs.

> 3 dayThese are exactly what I needed. Unfortunately one of them did not work but I have seeds starting under grow lights and on heat mats and am using the plugs for timing those so I dont want to have my seedlings cold and dark while I mess with a return just because of one plug. Other than the one plug not working these are great and I still would probably purchase again. Just check to make sure they all work before youre using them for something you wont want to interrupt for a return.

> 3 dayI was looking for a set of smart plugs to run my christmas lights in the house versus the timer based ones Ive used in the past. I found a set of competing ones, got them and they didnt work. Additionally a single unit covered both outlets. I considered this a fail. I found the Nooie plugs at a good deal for a set of four. They only use and cover a single outlet. They connected to my wifi with no issue. They have an on/off button so I can control them remotely or locally. They fit the bill perfectly. I attached one to each string of lights spread around the house. I then added the Nooie app to my phone and the feature to Alexa. I can now control each plug individually or as a group. My wife was a little hesitant to like it until I told Alexa to Turn on the christmas lights. The entire inside of the house lit up and she was sold. She was so much so that she asked me to order a second set to add more lights to the house. I have since renamed the command to Turn on string lights do that we can keep some of the strings up year round. Ive been using them for 2 months now and they work great. Im very happy with them and I am looking forward to trying some of their other products.

> 3 dayThese work as expected, were fairly easy to install using manual/AP mode, and I have had no issues with how they work so far. They do make a click sound when turning on and off, but I dont personally mind. The reason why Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because 2 of the 6 I ordered were clearly used. They werent wrapped in the plastic wrap like the others and had black scuffs on them. The scuffs wiped off with a little bit of alcohol and they seem to work the same as the rest, so I used them anyway.

> 3 dayI bought the 4 pack of plugs. So far I’ve tried to connect 2 of 4 plugs. Both would not connect via regular connection. Had to connect via option 2 (Wi-Fi direct connect). If you’re connecting to Alexa make sure to enable the Nooie Home skill and not the Nooie skill. I initially enabled the Nooie skill and it would not detect the plug. I’m writing this to hopefully save yourself an hour of wasted time. Enable the Nooie Home skill and you should be good.

> 3 dayI couldnt get the Nooie app to connect via wifi but once that times out I could directly connect and setup the devices. You have to wait for it to time out so he patient. The trick to adding it to Alexa and Google Home (I connected to both) is to enable Nooie Home. (thats not the same as Nooie which is also an option.) Great product for the price.
