Overall, I would indeed highly recommend this product for both new and experienced buyers because of the tech support alone. they have helped me solve every issue within 24-48 hours aside from one mentioned below. Prints do not print as professionally as I would have liked them to (tons of weird material build up on the bottoms of ledges). Threads do not work great either as you can see in my images attached to this review. This print was done with the included PLA filament and is very nice filament. Build and setup is easy peasy. Follow the instructions and youll be up and running in less than 15 minutes.

I really like this printer as its easy to use and maintain. It being our second real foray into 3d printing, it has been mostly positive. My 12 year old took to their slicer and runs it himself as well as the printer. The 8 year old still needs some help, but he understands it. I have found the videos, documentation and support to be top notch. My only issue was PLA clogging in the PTFE tubing and found it was due to a faulty fan causing it to get to hot. After replacing the fan, it works great again and no clogs since! Once you have your filament settings dialed in, it prints beautifully. Highly recommended, but do your due diligence and learn about 3d printing. The industry is not idiot proof yet. But the QIDI printers are a big step into that direction.

I wanted to provide an Update for this AWESOME Printer. I use them in a professional production setting. The first two that I purchased performed so well that I bought 3 more QIDI X-Plus Printers. I purchased these printers prior to QIDI switching over their account (which is why I believe it is showing a non-verified purchase) but I can assure you I have 5 of them in service. Not only is this printer a MUST HAVE for large items, with a .2 tip in it small things print exceptional on it. While a printer this size may seem like a waste for smaller items, the buildplate size allows me to print numerous small items at one time allowing me to set the printer to run for an extended period of time with very little effort. Something worth mentioning is that on a print bed this size, preheating and leveling are very important. The larger your print bed the more the level is affected the further you get from the center of the buildplate. Once you get it leveled perfect it only needs to be checked periodically and it is definately worth taking the time to do correctly. Be sure to use your glue stick every time (even on a brand new buildplate) and it will make your life so much easier. Another thing I really like, being in a production environment, is the ability to change the complete printhead in under 5 minutes. You remove 2 bolts and the plug and you can drop in your high-temp printer head ... or in my case, a print head with a different size tip installed. You are probably asking yourself if you need a print bed this large ... I can assure you that you will find plenty of things to print on it. I’ve been in the process of swapping out my Dremel and Flash Forge printers with QIDI brand printers. I currently run 10 -- x one 2 printers, 6 -- Tech one printers, 6 -- tech pros and now two X Plus printers (plus the 3 from my last purchase). I also currently run 4 2 Dremel 3d20 printers 1 3d40 , a flash forge creator pro and a Robo 2. I know a little about 3D printers. (Since leaving this original review, I have phased out all of my Dremels and sold both Robos). The X Plus printers are my go to printers. My wife sat down with no set up experience and had it printing in less then 15 minutes all on her own with just the manual. I could go on and on about this awesome printer but everyone says that stuff. Customer support is what I’d like to share. I recently had an Extruder board go bad on an X Plus and after contacting customer support a new board is on the way. This is the only time I have ever had to contact customer support and was very happy with the service. They were attentive to my needs, pleasant to deal with( some times customer service acts like they are doing u a favor) and I could not be happier with This printer and the support team. Update. My replacement parts arrived 5 days after contacting customer support and 2 two of those days were the weekend. They were sent DHL Express, what more could u ask for. Thank you Linda and Qidi

Had a few bugs to work out at the beginning but once all the settings are dialed in it prints great. Customer service is A+++ as they helped answer any questions and replaced any parts that had problems under warranty.. Highly recommend the Qidi X Plus.

My second printer. Out of the box and printing in about 40 minutes. I like the slicer they provide. Only printed about 15 items ( 60 hours) so far so good. Default settings pretty good though I use 1.2 mm walls. Accurate to plus or minus .005 in. Depending on geometry.

Ive had this printer for 7 months and have been getting great results. I print for money and this printer is a workhorse sometimes printing non-stop for 3-4 days straight with no problems. Tech support is wonderful sending me a complete low temp extruder/hotend assembly after having a couple of days with issues. Currently considering the X-Pro for the dual extruder.

Lets start with the negatives since that is what most people want to know about right away. Its big and its heavy. The exterior case dimensions are significantly larger than the print area, surprisingly so. But as for negatives? Thats pretty much it. Sure one could argue switching print heads for low temp filaments like PLA, PETG, ABS and a high temp assembly for PEEK, PC, Nylon might be a hassle, the reality is that it takes about 2 minutes, is exceedingly easy to do with the included tools and it means having the right tool for each job instead of something that is a compromise for both. Ive had a small 3D printer from Monoprice and I currently have an Ender 3 Pro. With the Ender 3 Pro Id guess half my prints fail or are of sufficiently poor quality as to count as a failure, however it prints well enough that it doesnt seem to be a defective printer, just that they seem to require a lot of fiddling, tweaking, every change in filament seems to require adjustments. Constant bed leveling. Etc. Wtih the X-Plus I opened the box, removed the shipping materials and clips, plugged it in and printed a test print, turned out perfectly. Ive had it for 20 days now, running nearly 24x7 printing Ear Savers for doctors/nurses and printing the components for the Makersmask Respirator. One one failed print and it was my fault for trying to print 12 copies of the same component on the bed simultaneously, without putting enough space between them. Save for that it has been 100% flawless. Level the bed maybe once every 50 prints, different brands and colors of filament that seem to trip up the Ender 3 have made zero difference to this beast. Ive run several brands of PLA, two different brands of PETG, Carbon Fiber impregnated PC and CF impregnated Nylon. Set the temperature for each as suggested by the manufacturer and let it go. The only thing Id say is use hairspray on the bed plate when printing PC as it sticks so well it tore chunks out of the sheet. But it has given exceedingly great results from everything Ive thrown at it. Impressive is an understatement. As soon as they come back in stock Im buying a second one and dumping the Ender 3. The X-Plus is worth every penny.

I was in the market for a new 3D printer. My first one. I borrowed an older QIDI from a friend and was impressed with the design and software. The printer is very good quality and I have been easily able to print projects (as a beginner). The customer service is as good as is represented here on the reviews. I needed some help with a part and customer service responded within a few hours.

Have had this Qidi Tech X-Plus printer for over 1.5 years and printed over 1500 hours and it still works amazing! I purchased it for a new hobby to print models which I create myself. I had never used any 3D printer before this one and I do recommend this one for beginners. There is a small learning curve to make good first layers consistently which is most important. I have never had a filament jam. The tech support is great! Always answer your emails about 12 hours later if you are in the US. They work with you patiently to help you solve any problem and to help you learn from the experience. The original flexible build plates which stick to the base work well but do wear out eventually with heavy use. They have a new PEI version which seems much more durable. Im not sure if I can wear it out. The only other part I had to replace was a noisy small fan which tech support worked with me diligently to diagnose which one it was. They immediately shipped me a replacement and a video how to replace it. Another time I made a mistake and knocked my XY axis out of alignment. They sent me a video how to fix it. Amazingly crazy that it takes 5 seconds to correct the Axis! The printer comes with their own software which has many features. Its very easy to learn the basics and they are constantly working on improvements. I would buy this again!
