> 3 dayThe moment you open the box, you know you have a quality machine. Superb packing and easy assembly. From time of unpacking to the first print was about a half-hour. It might have gone a little quicker if I had taken the time to read all the directions. I kind of skipped the part telling me all the software was on the thumb drive. When it comes to customer support, you would be hard pressed to beat it. I had an issue and contacted someone named Linda. Im assuming its a women as the interaction was by email.. She knew her stuff. Very polite, was able to quickly resolve the issue without a lot of red-tape. The only things they could improve on would be a live person to call or chat with. Improve their Amazon store. There is a huge difference in pricing for consumables between their Amazon and Ebay stores. If your looking great printer in eas of use and appearance a QIDI should be where you start

> 3 dayI have owned many 3D printers in my day. For the price vs quality you really cant beat Qidi. I love it so much this is my second printer. The print quality is exceptional (get the PEI build plate) and the machine is extremely quite. Get it you wont be sorry. Tech support is top knotch. I live in the US and anytime I send an email to tech support I get a response back in less than 4 hours. I screwed up 2 of my build plates and Qidi sent me a PEI plat for free!!!! Get it you wont be sorry!

> 3 dayWe decided to give this printer a try after being let down by the Ender 3 & Ender 5-plus… two thumbs UP!! What a difference right out of the box, fully assembled and great instructions included. Leveling was a breeze and straight from the test print we are getting BEAUTIFUL prints!! Machine is sleek and incredibly quiet compared to the Ender products. For us, it is sooo worth the extra expense UPDATE: we want to give a big SHOUT OUT to Linda with customer support, she is extremely helpful and quick to communicate.

> 3 dayThis product has the ability to print with a variety of different filaments. Ive had the luxury of testing this printer for quite some time. I ran it through its Paces, I know what it can and cannot do. On the technical aspect of this machine software is very user-friendly. However on the actual machine itself there seems to be a lot of jams and clogs which causes me to disassemble it on a regular basis.... To me thats not a big deal, being a maker and liking the Tinker with my 3D printer is it isnt a problem. For somebody not familiar with the system or world of 3d Printing. I would consider a different 3D printer. However if you are looking for a machine that gives you versatility and functionality this is a good pick. Incredibly this printer seems to be able to print that speeds upto 120 mm not too much fight. However you will suffer in print quality is demonstrated in the pictures.

> 3 dayI am semi-noobish when it comes to 3d printing. Out of the box, the Qidi X-Plus prints fantastic. Lets be honest, for the price you should expect very good quality these days. Qidi exceeded my expectations with the X-Plus. A lot. Where I was previously printing a small item every two weeks or so with my last printer, Ive had the X-plus running almost non-stop, 8 hours a day. The Qidi software (PC) has solid presets with only slight tweaks based on varying filament brands and colors. If you like Cura, youll like their software. As most people mention, the customer service is excellent. They respond very quickly and are very helpful, even creating videos to walk you through a process. 6/5 stars for customer service! I cant compliment them enough. TL;DR: The X-Plus is fantastic. If youre looking for an out-of-the-box solution that requires minimal tweaks, this one is for you. And if you get it, make sure to email them about the additional extruder (high temp). They mail it to you within a few days and its rad. *Ill continue to update this as I gain more experience with the machine. Will make sure to add pictures :D

> 3 dayThe machine is easy to set up and even easier to use. It took me a while to figure out which 3D drawing program I wanted to use (Fusion 360 it is!). Once I got this done.... Printing with this machine is (I think) as easy as it gets. Last week I received a filament runout sensor. I needed some info from the manufacturer. They were very fast, friendly and very helpful. Ive printed some brackets, buttons and some samples. Most of the products come out pretty nicely. Carbon fiber needs a little more knowledge and experience. The rest is easy. Taking care of the filament is probably one of the most important things to do. It can produce pretty large pieces. If you get this one.... You should be OK!

Greater than one weekI replaced an older 3d printer and this QIDI printer. I have using the QIDI every day running an average of 20+ hours of printing without a problem. I am not an expert but the QIDI is an excellent printer.

> 3 dayNikki’s Pros and Cons of the QIDI Tech’s X-Plus 3D Printer: Pros: ~ Total enclosed 3D printer with magnetic removable side and top panels. ~ Print from USB memory stick, or directly from a network cable or wireless connection. ~ Easy removal and replacement of print head ~ Fully assembled, just attach magnetic sides and top covers, attach filament spool holder and filament guild straw, and you’re ready to go. ~ Heated build bed ~ Includes an extra high temp head for over 250-degree prints with PVC, etc. ~ Front door can be removed, not magnetic ~ Frame high quality and built very strong ~ Build bed is approx. 8mm thick, nearly 99.95% flat and very sturdy ~ Magnetic and removable flexible coated sheet metal build bed surface ~ Easy to use touch screen (pressure activated) ~ Inner lighting to view project (can be turned off) ~ Included software QIDI Print full featured and tuned for the QIDI Tech printers (very similar to another well-known 3D software) ~ Quiet, if the head fan was off, it is near silent, and the fans aren’t bad at all ~ Super technical support team! Cons: ~ No auto out of filament sensor ~ No full auto bed leveling (only partial-assist leveling) ~ No auto filament feeding Minor cons: ~ Due to good build quality, it’s a bit heavy compared to other open frame printers ~ The cover magnets could be a bit stronger; they can be knocked off pretty easily ~ No webcam, but not many have this feature ~ The bed leveling knobs could be a bit bigger for easier adjustments ~ The “Control Panel” software that communicates with the 3D printer (when not using just the USB drive) is a separate application from the QIDI Print software, so not quite as seamless a solution as I’d like, but useable. ~ The small covers that snap over the filament spool rod can easily brake, but I’m guessing it would be simple to print new ones, so just be gentle. Some issues I had during the first 7 days: ~ Some trouble getting wireless printing to work, but it may be my network setup, and direct USB and ethernet printing works perfectly. ~ Some trouble with the printer detecting its head position for the far left and far front side limits while using the manual movement buttons, but during prints no issue. ~ My build bed has a very slight dip in the middle, I’d say around 0.05mm, and according to QIDI that’s within factory tolerance. Conclusion: This is a great 3D Printer and should last for years. I love that it comes pre-assembled, comes with removable magnetic and reversable build cover and thick build plate. Also, great features like including an extra print head for high temp prints, magnetic side and top covers, easy to use touch display panel, including a full spool of red filament, and good print output makes this a great choice for first timers and those wanting a study enclosed 3D printer. Also, their tech support is the best, they are friendly, reply quickly, and offer wonderful support! Thank you QIDI Support Team!! QIDI’s support 5-Stars, X-Plus 3D Printer 4-Stars, Overall 5-Stars! Good job QIDI! :)

16-11-2024It does what I intend it to do. It is a work horse Ive ran it for hours at a time, and have about over 200 hours of print time in a span of 3 months. Ive printed tools with it (no significant force) for tight spaces when Im working on my car. Ive printed toys for my nephew using TPU, ABS, PLA, Silk, all of which takes a while to dial in, to get a great print. So once its locked on it truly makes an impressive print, it can handle detailed prints with amazing results, but takes more time like anything else in the market. However, I did switch slicer from qidi to simplify3d because it cuts the print time significantly. Qidi slicer is okay if you dont mind few more time to print. It is based on cura slicer so if you can make it work with this printer, it might help. The printer is very consistent as long as you level it every couple or few prints (Quick level is good enough). It helps that it can be enclosed for ABS printing, parts are easy to inspect and easily replaceable if need be (so far none). Suprisingly Qidi has been very responsive and detailed when Im troubleshooting, which is really Impressive. Bottomline if youre new to this and you have some spare bucks. Also, wanting to have something that prints out of the box, this is a good candidate. Its consistent, less hassle if youre not into building your own 3d printer, and really good after purchase support. I just wish they can be upgradable for multiple extruder.
