I will give 5 stars for their 3D printer & customer service. I needed a big plate-form 3D printer and choose the QIDI TECH X-plus with little hesitation. When I first tested this 3D printer, I was upset because it was not work. However, when I contacted the QIDI TECH Sale Service Team, I was astonished and pleased because their response was very good and extremely helpful. They helped by explaining how to solve the problem step by step with easy to understand instructions and guidance. Even when the main problem was the filament (not the printer itself), they offered to replace the extruder as well, which was made by QIDI TECH X-plus. QIDI TECH Sale Service Team continued followed up and communicate well until my problem has been solved. As a result, my first project has finished perfectly and there are no longer any issues or problems. Thank you so much for helping to solve this problem and I appreciate the amazing customer service.

Great 3D printer for those who want a step up from entry level models. I have been very impressed with the ease of use and print quality. In my profession, I have used several larger FDM machines from Stratec and Fortus and have been pleased with this single extruded design. The support material is easy to remove and the object finish and dimensions have been spot on.

I bought this printer several weeks ago and I can tell you it is one of the best printers I ever purchased for less than $1000. I purchase another printer prior to buying this at $1400 but it was incapable of doing prints to the same high quality as this one. The ease of use for the qidi makes this printer exceptional. Has a very nice finish on it. The print bed is nice and big and most of all the customer support is very responsive. Im gonna recommend this printer to any one starting out or for the more advanced user!!

Update: Dropping the rating to 3 stars. Why? The extrusion head has filament jams. A LOT. And it is a REAL PAIN to fix. April 2022 update: QIDI support helped me fix the filament jams. Back to making parts. Had this almost two years and am still happy with the purchase. Basically its a plug it in and run machine. The PC software for job creation is fairly intuitive, and the operator interface screen on the machine is straight forward. So far its produced what I needed with little fuss. I have not tried the WIFI yet. When I emailed tech support, they have responded quickly (a plus these days). So far, Ive only made parts from ABS and PETG. Both materials took a little temp correction from the default settings, but then parts turned satisfactory. Ive made about 2KG work of ABS and PETG parts so far and after the initial (and short) learning curve, all parts have turned out to my satisfaction. Overall, Im very pleased with the system (and support), and would recommend it.

Ive had this printer for 7 months and have been getting great results. I print for money and this printer is a workhorse sometimes printing non-stop for 3-4 days straight with no problems. Tech support is wonderful sending me a complete low temp extruder/hotend assembly after having a couple of days with issues. Currently considering the X-Pro for the dual extruder.

Here are the things I like about this printer: - The guts of this machine uses commonly available components. The stepper motors, switches, belt drive, motherboard, cables, hot-plate, etc. etc. are all of good quality. As a result, the print output quality is very good. Things work as expected with no proprietary quirks. - The engineering on this printer is exceptional. Every screw on this unit can be removed with one of two hex keys (provided) in the unlikely event that you need to replace a component. This printer was clearly designed someone who understood the benefits of keeping things simple yet robust. Bravo. Excellent job. - Touch screen UI is really good. Its simple and easy to understand. It just works and works quite well. Again, it must have been designed by a person who understands the benefits of keeping things simple and intuitive. - Slicer software is great. It works well and is far superior to Cura and most open source slicers out there. You have the power to either print with defaults which are well thought out or tweak the settings to get exactly the print you need. This software is the heart and soul of the machine and once again, was designed by someone who values good design. Keep the software development and updates going on this Qidi, please! Also, please release a Linux version. I would love to use my laptop when printing. I know its a big ask but its 2019... we have the technology :) - High temperature extruder. This is great for printing polycarbonate and other exotic materials. Its a great free add-on from Qidi. They mentioned it was in beta when I purchased 8 months ago yet graciously supplied on free of charge. - LED lighting. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE LED LIGHTING!!! When i watch the Qidi printing in a darkened room the ethereal blue glow gives the feel that I am living in the year 2050 with a magical, high tech machine that creates things out of thin air. Its silly, I know... but its cool beyond words. Whoever thought this up, if you are ever in Washington state I owe you a beer! All of these things mentioned would earned the Qidi 5 stars. But I havent really even begun to review the company. I have been alive for 50 years and seen a lot of good and bad customer support an I can safely count on one hand the number of companies that have such outstanding customer support. Let me try and explain with two examples: 1. High Temperature Extruder stopped getting hot enough shortly after installing it. I contacted Linda and she immediately popped one in the post. She wanted the original one back so her engineers could analyze it and find out what went wrong. She deposited return postage in our pay-pal account before she even received the return. Talk about trusting your customer! Very impressed with that alone. 2. I screwed up big time. I was an idiot and went to change the nozzle on the high temp extruder and like a gorilla, used way too much force while the machine was POWERED ON! What I ended up doing was shorting out the heating element by damage due to brute forcing it. I killed my mother board, I killed my extruder, I killed my breakpoint module I killed my cables. IT WAS ALL MY FAULT. I contacted Linda to see what could be done. I hated to lose my Qidi. Long story short, she helped me diagnose the faulty components, sent me some diagnostics videos and ended up sending me all the replacement parts, free of charge, express from China. Give that a moment to sink in. Thats a significant gift from Linda at Qidi who had ZERO OBLIGATION to fix MY MISTAKE. I am humbled and awed. That is some of the best customer good will I have ever experienced and I am very grateful to Linda at Qidi for her support. If there was an option for rating customer/tech support a 6 this would be the first Amazon purchase of my extensive purchase history that would qualify. There is no adequate way to say Thank You enough to Qidi who has brought such joy into my life. It may sound corny but customer support is everything to me. I have lived long enough to know that frustration and disappointment are far more costly than a purchase price. Thanks again Linda, thanks again Qidi, you have earned a loyal customer for life!

This is a great first 3D printer. Everything is easy to setup. The slicing software includes importing models, slicing, and sending to the printer via wifi. As this was my first 3D printer, I had questions, but the tech support always had a response back within 12 hours. Be aware that while basic items will print great the first time out, smaller, more detailed items will take some experimentation and tweaking of the setting to get right.

This is my second 3D printer. Started with an Anycubic. The Qidi is amazing! The packaging was exceptional everything was assembled and within 15 minutes I was printing my first test piece. The quality of my first print was excellent. I spent many hours calibrating my Anycubic and it still looks nothing like my first Qidi print. Also I reached out to support with a quick question and they responded within 10 minutes.
