I purchased an Ender 5 Plus, then about a week later purchased a QIDI. While the Ender 5 Plus has been unable to get a solid print, and eventually caught on FIRE, the QIDI has been running strong with over 500 prints, doing 24/7 and it prints stock better than the ender ever did. Right now my ender 5 is completely broken, and Ive put $500 in upgrades into it so it doesnt print terrible and catch on fire again, but my QIDI is ripping through prints without stopping. If you are trying decide between an ender and a QIDI, go with the QIDI all day. While its not open source, it works well and it is reliable, and in the end that really is all that matters. I may eventually try to upgrade the board and components after the warranty ends or something breaks, but really there is no need to do so, it is the perfect printer and beats EVERYTHING in this price range. Its also a solid building system for upgrading if you are into that sort of thing, as its super expensive to create enclosures and a solid frame for other kit like printers. If you are looking for a nightmare DIY yourself project, go with ENDER. If you want something that just works, is safe and your family can learn how to use it in 2 seconds go with the QIDI. I did have one issue, my thermistor wire was broken but since they give you a ton of spare parts and an extra extruder hotend, I was able to use the other extruder heads wire until QIDI ships out a replacement, took literally 2 seconds to fix.

Ive had a QIDI printer for several years now, and they are the most durable and precise printers you can find for the money. I started with a QIDI-I, which was really an amazing beginner printer. About 3 years ago, I moved over to the X-PRO, and that printer was as sturdy and precise as the I, but with the added functionality of wi-fi printing and much more quiet motor operation. By this time, I was past beginning mode, but when I ran into issues, the QIDI discord channel and email were some of the best tech support I have ever received. QIDIs tech support is second-to-none - if you have any problem with the printer, they will troubleshoot, send you parts, send you videos and PDFs on how to fix anything with the printer, follow-up, and even point you to ideal spare parts in case you have a problem again. They really seem to care about you having a great printing experience. The software works very well, and with the ability to send prints over wifi, you arent required to physically bind a computer to the printer. Software updates are up to weekly, with more filament specs or tweaks to operation. The software also works with a lot of QIDI products, so there wont be a learning curve if you need to upgrade. If there is a down side, it is a bit heavy, due to the frame, but that also benefits as a rigid, low-vibration structure that cant really drift and impact your prints. I have printed great things with PLA, ABS and PETG, it is simply a reliable, friendly, easy-to-use printer. If you can replace a part here or there (and they have *every* part available on ebay), this printer will serve you well for a decade or more.

An excellent, almost perfect printer. This is a printer, with excellent cost benefit, with several strengths, they are: -very good print quality, -print any type of material, mes nylon and carbon fiber -with robust structure and high quality parts -Excellent after-sales service, and product warranty Points that can improve: - The motherboard is proprietary and does not have a USB port that allows access to the terminal, the USB port that it has is only for reading a pendrive (this makes Octaprint solutions impossible or very difficult to use) - the printing table is wonderful, made of spring steel, but the cover should be replaced by PEI. (Easy to solve, just change the table for one from Whan Bam or put a 3M PEI sheet in place of the white film that comes with it the table ) Conclusion: I highly recommend this printer, you will not find another option that comes as complete for this price!

Overall, I would indeed highly recommend this product for both new and experienced buyers because of the tech support alone. they have helped me solve every issue within 24-48 hours aside from one mentioned below. Prints do not print as professionally as I would have liked them to (tons of weird material build up on the bottoms of ledges). Threads do not work great either as you can see in my images attached to this review. This print was done with the included PLA filament and is very nice filament. Build and setup is easy peasy. Follow the instructions and youll be up and running in less than 15 minutes.

I’ve had this printer about a year and love it. Setup was easy, instructions are not bad. It took some experimenting to get it dialed in but once you find the sweet spot, it is fantastic. The biggest challenges were in finding the right PLA and getting the Qidi software set properly. I’ve found that Hatchbox PLA works the best for the most consistent prints. Other setting challenges were related to the speed settings and getting retraction set properly. Would definitely buy again. I had to contact support one time for an issue with filament jamming and they were really responsive. In the end, the issue seemed to be from the PLA they sent with the machine, I threw it out once I figured out better filament.

Relatively new to 3d printing and have only had one printer, built from a kit, and used for it for the last 4 years. Could never get TPU to feed properly and recently had ABS fail too. Found the Qidi X-Plus that supports those plus Nylon and Carbon Fiber, so jumped on it. After fast leveling which only hit center, got the first print out perfect, so very optimistic. Found a bed leveling test print to ensure the bed was true and in two days I was happy with the results. I was amazed since the prior printer did self leveling so this was my first manual effort. Very impressed with the printer and even more impressed with their support team. Requested for configuration file for another slicers and they replied within 10 hours. Super product and exceptional service.

I didnt like the fact it didnt have the standard extruder on it already and it wont hook up to my wifi. When I push wifi settings its like its set to manufactory settings or something. Kind of disappointed with it for the price I paid.

I LOVE this printer. It is worlds apart from anything I’ve owned previously. I sleep well knowing this won’t jam or fault in the middle of the night. Quality of both the printer and the prints are phenomenal!! I will definitely be buying another one soon!!

So my review for the X-Plus is pretty much the same as it is for the X-Max, after all they are almost identical other than build size.... I was not in a rush so I watched reviews and read a lot of articles when comparing 3D printers. First off Qidi has amazing customer support! Not one other manufacturer in all my reading had the constant praise for their customer support that Qidi has. Most printers require a lot of fine tuning and upgrades when bought new, this can take up a lot of time and money. This printer needs nothing from the time you take it out of the box. They are not the cheapest choice but the build quality and customer support is well worth the extra you pay up front. I started with the X-Max, then bought an X-Plus (same printer just smaller) and then another X-Max, so I guess you could say I am a fan and plan to stay loyal to them. I belong to several maker communities online and you hear nightmares from so many others with the other popular printers. Even in the Qidi groups you hear very little complaints and the community always helps each other out. My printers have ran non-stop since purchasing 24/7 between projects and PPE and the only the filament has needed changed when it runs out. Pros: Very heavy and sturdy build, not light and flimsy as others are Fully enclosed and very quiet Dual Z screws for even lift 2 different extruders to be used on regular filament and the other for those that require high temperature Very thick and flat heated bed, many others are often warped Flexible build plates, when the print completes, flex the plate and the print pops right off! no scraping Customer service There are many others but I will stop there for now Cons: not a big fan of the leveling knobs/wingnuts they are large, I have the room so not a big deal, but be prepared No filament run out sensor... most who do have them though disconnect them due to false sensor reading pausing their prints

Printed ABS fuel grain for a hybrid rocket. Top quality with a reasonable price.
