Works great easy to use and with minimal setup. Had a hardware issue 1 year into owning but customer support was great and helped me fix it

This is my first 3D printer so I didn’t know what to expect, I wanted to have the ability to experiment with different materials and this looked like a good choice. It can with the additional in the box, though I have not used it yet. I could use the included slicer because it’s windows/Mac only. It came with a Simplify3D profile so I have been using that. l with great success. I also tried Cura and it worked really well but the quality in Simplify3D seems better. PLA and PETG work great. I’ve used Hatchbox and eSun. I haven’t got ABS dialed in yet, small parts are amazing but larger parts suffer from warping. ABS has a really nice appearance and feel so I will have to dedicate more time. The printer is big and heavy. It’s well made, everything is accessible and user servicable. I have had to contact support And had answers within 24 hours. In one instance I asked where I could get a spare extruder ribbon connector because I had damaged the release button and a replacement was immediately sent under warranty by DHL - I had it in 3 days!!

Lets start with the negatives since that is what most people want to know about right away. Its big and its heavy. The exterior case dimensions are significantly larger than the print area, surprisingly so. But as for negatives? Thats pretty much it. Sure one could argue switching print heads for low temp filaments like PLA, PETG, ABS and a high temp assembly for PEEK, PC, Nylon might be a hassle, the reality is that it takes about 2 minutes, is exceedingly easy to do with the included tools and it means having the right tool for each job instead of something that is a compromise for both. Ive had a small 3D printer from Monoprice and I currently have an Ender 3 Pro. With the Ender 3 Pro Id guess half my prints fail or are of sufficiently poor quality as to count as a failure, however it prints well enough that it doesnt seem to be a defective printer, just that they seem to require a lot of fiddling, tweaking, every change in filament seems to require adjustments. Constant bed leveling. Etc. Wtih the X-Plus I opened the box, removed the shipping materials and clips, plugged it in and printed a test print, turned out perfectly. Ive had it for 20 days now, running nearly 24x7 printing Ear Savers for doctors/nurses and printing the components for the Makersmask Respirator. One one failed print and it was my fault for trying to print 12 copies of the same component on the bed simultaneously, without putting enough space between them. Save for that it has been 100% flawless. Level the bed maybe once every 50 prints, different brands and colors of filament that seem to trip up the Ender 3 have made zero difference to this beast. Ive run several brands of PLA, two different brands of PETG, Carbon Fiber impregnated PC and CF impregnated Nylon. Set the temperature for each as suggested by the manufacturer and let it go. The only thing Id say is use hairspray on the bed plate when printing PC as it sticks so well it tore chunks out of the sheet. But it has given exceedingly great results from everything Ive thrown at it. Impressive is an understatement. As soon as they come back in stock Im buying a second one and dumping the Ender 3. The X-Plus is worth every penny.

Everything works smoothly once everything is leveled right. Love that machine!

This is a great printer which can print a variety of materials, in addition it is very quiet. I had a problem because Ive used the recommended levelling as the machine suggested, which cause the object to fuze to the magnetic sticker and thus ruin it and the object. I had to buy a new magnetic sticker.. The problem was solved after Ive contacted the QIDI support which was very helpful and even refund me the cost of the magnetic sticker.

Amazing product. I am a 3D printing newbie and I installed, leveled, and printed the test file in very short order. The included instructions and videos are very clear and easy. The X-Plus is very robust and well built. The shipping packaging was excellent. That was yesterday. Today I loaded the Qidi software on a PC and downloaded a Velociraptor file from the Internet and then imported it, Prepared (sliced) it, and then Wifid it to the printer and started the printing remotely. It could not have been any easier and smoother for a noob like myself. I purchase several types on filaments to try including a flexible one for RC tires, cell phone cases, etc.. I need both the high temp extruder and enclosed case that comes with it for the high temp materials. One nit is I wish I could check on the status of the print via Wifi as well since i submit the files and start the printer via WIfi now. I am updating this review (Bought it on July 10th) now with about 200 hours of printing on it. It is still excellent. The latest prints are lithophanes from photos but I have done several different types of prints at this point.

I selected this Qidi printer to begin learning 3D printing, and Amazon and other online reviews I read were stellar. I also wanted a printer that was capable of medium size parts and that could fabricate items with practicable use -- not just novelty items. Setup was fast and easy and the test object was created flawlessly. Ive printed some parts for project applications as well as some Thingiverse objects, not all of which seem particularly well designed for printing (or perhaps need some alteration of printing parameters). Qidi sent me a new high-temp extruder for nylon and carbon fiber filament at no charge, and it was express shipped. I highly recommend this printer for its quality, its price and its ease of use. The only critique is that some of the popular slicer programs such as Cura dont have parameter files for the Qidi, so right now I have to use the Qidi slicer provided with the printer, but the newest downloadable version 5.1.18 appears to be a big improvement over the earlier version that shipped with the printer. But at my stage of use, this isnt a limitation. Ive successfully designed items using OpenSCAD 3D designer, sliced them with Qidi, and printed them on the X-Plus. Im really pleased overall, and recommend this printer to beginner and intermediate level users.

I normally dont write reviews, but in this case I will make an exception. I bought this printer about 6 months ago and have never had a 3D printer or used CAD/CAM software in my life. So I unboxed it found something I wanted to print followed the instructions for setup and it printed right out of the box just fine. Then I changed filament for the first time, no problem, all good. Then I changed the printing mat for a borosilicate glass bed and no problems, until I broke the glass. I started having problems and contacted support, they talked me through it and I was back to printing just fine. Then I changed from PLA to PETG and again I had problems (my own from not completely understanding the leveling process), email support and they straightened me out quickly. Then I started having more problems with leveling, and again support to the rescue. Keep in mind the problems were USER RELATED, NOT HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE related. It seems that each time I made a mistake, I had to contact support and they fixed the problem rather quickly. I have been using this machine for about 7 months and I now know I still dont know squat about these things, but I am learning..... Support has been phenomenal no matter what I need they have helped me at every turn of the road. So I say this to anyone thinking of getting this printer, feel safe to buy it knowing there is help only an email away.
