Greater than one weekI have an ender 3 and while it was fun tinkering and learning the process of how 3d printing works, it quickly became tedious keeping up with it and having issue pop up after a fix. The QIDI 3d printer doesnt have this issue and I was able to start printing and achieving quality prints within 15 minutes of unpacking it, do remember to use the manual bed leveling and not the fast process but actually go through all three points leveling and using the wing lock nuts once u get it leveled. This printer is not quiet at all, but the noise is LOUD but not painful loud as all the noise is balanced out with no annoying hum or pitch, but I recommend looking up aftermarket fans, please note the fan is 24v, if you are upgrading it, and the nosiest part of the setup is the extruder fan which generate the most noise. Will update if issues pop up.

Greater than one week2018-2023 Update: I have had 9 Printers from QIDI Tech, since 2018: 3 - X-MAXs, 3 - X-PLUSs, & 3 - X-PROs. In 2018 we purchased one of each, for about half a year, after 100+ hours of printing and amazing results on these printers, I had to get more, so I did in 2019, we added two of each and had them running for various project since. Over the last 4-5 years we have used, and continue to use, these printers, with no major problems. I run a $1,000,000+ Additive Manufacturing Center at a Universitys Mechanical Engineering Department, in which we manufacture and print a variety of research parts, projects, as well as items for internal and external client prints. We have printed 10,000s+ of items, over 1,000s+ of hours, and generated $10,000s+ in the process, essentially paying for the machines, materials, and to add to the centers funds. We additionally aided the medical community during the pandemic to print 10,000+ of face shield frames and mask straps, and we did them non-stop, 24/7 printing for over 3 months. It was intense! I hands down recommend the purchase of any QIDI Tech Printer. They are so well priced, and they give you equal or better prints than a printer that cost 2-3 times as much, just for Name Brand. Every time we showcase 3-D Printing to people, or just print for clients; we ALWAYS recommend QIDI Tech to them; not sponsored, just satisfied! I hope this review helps, please reach out to me if you have any questions!

> 3 dayI have purchased this printer thru my college, and my lab is using this printer to build functional prototypes. It is better than $3000+ printers that cannot build accurate nylon prototypes, which is critical for functional testing. We had an issue of Not reading USB drive, but customer service sent me a free replacement board very quickly. Superb customer care that I could not experience from other companies! I love both the product and service!

> 3 dayThis is my first 3D printer. It is relatively easy to use, and functions very well. Customer support is second to none. They have replaced both the normal and the high temperature extruder due to failures, and respond quickly to support questions. The leveling is imperative to get right, or else PLA will not print at all. This was the hardest thing to figure out. When they say “friction” on the paper between the nozzle and the bed, they mean a lot of friction. Once we got that figured out, my first layer bonding issues went away. They will also send you a Cura slicer profile if you want to use that software. You just need to ask for it. If you are looking at this as a first 3D printer, and you want to be able to print all types of filament, I would definitely recommend this one!

Greater than one weekI don’t know what I like better, the quality of the printer or the quality of the tech support. I’m serious, they’re the real deal. We were absolute newbies on using a 3D printer, a few things I’ll say to other newbies: -don’t be afraid, just in there and try it, it’s not as hard as it seems...there’s minor frustrations with filaments and sticking to the heat bed, etc...but watch videos on YouTube, you have it tweaked in no time. (And feel like an expert) -this is a quality machine. It is very versatile...I haven’t come close to its potential, but have used it several hundred hours already(or more). -tech support is very reliable via email. They will respond. All in all, I’d buy this again. It’s used every single day by my son.

> 3 dayWell packaged and well built. Unit is sturdy and quite. It doesnt have dual extruders I jus printed in different materials. The removable flex print bed is the best. I have had no problems with bed adhesion even on some small parts. Slicing software has options that are a little more than novice. The supports are a bit confusing but I am still learning. Over all recommended.

> 3 dayIt does what I intend it to do. It is a work horse Ive ran it for hours at a time, and have about over 200 hours of print time in a span of 3 months. Ive printed tools with it (no significant force) for tight spaces when Im working on my car. Ive printed toys for my nephew using TPU, ABS, PLA, Silk, all of which takes a while to dial in, to get a great print. So once its locked on it truly makes an impressive print, it can handle detailed prints with amazing results, but takes more time like anything else in the market. However, I did switch slicer from qidi to simplify3d because it cuts the print time significantly. Qidi slicer is okay if you dont mind few more time to print. It is based on cura slicer so if you can make it work with this printer, it might help. The printer is very consistent as long as you level it every couple or few prints (Quick level is good enough). It helps that it can be enclosed for ABS printing, parts are easy to inspect and easily replaceable if need be (so far none). Suprisingly Qidi has been very responsive and detailed when Im troubleshooting, which is really Impressive. Bottomline if youre new to this and you have some spare bucks. Also, wanting to have something that prints out of the box, this is a good candidate. Its consistent, less hassle if youre not into building your own 3d printer, and really good after purchase support. I just wish they can be upgradable for multiple extruder.

> 3 dayProduct is simplistic to use, but also gives the advanced feel of an advanced 3D printer

> 3 dayAmazingly easy to setup and use with the Qidi slicer. The slicer can send print jobs wirelessly which is very convent. Most amazing and most important is the response time and help from the tech support.
