> 24 hourI have some CAT5/6 (network) installation experience, so install was relatively easy. I opted to run CAT6 riser cable rather than use the provide CAT5e. The NVR recognized the cameras immediately. Regarding Power Over Either (POE)--I was mistake in thinking that the power from the NVR (over CAT6) would be sufficient to power two cameras connected to a secondary 4 port POE switch. The cameras wouldnt work until I provided power to the secondary switch. I recognize this was likely an amateur mistake on my part, but all works great now.

> 24 hourThis product is a security camera but you cannot secure your cameras because you have to reset them at the cameras constantly. Then after you do that they may or may not work. each camera gets its own IP but the NVR does not really do that well at assigning them and when it restarts they are all reset and half of them wont work causing the need to climb back into the attic to reset each camera. My suggestion is to get a much less extensive system or a better system this one is not well laid out and there for does not work as well as the cheaper systems I use at other locations.

> 24 hourI finally replaced an outdated, unsupported Q-See camera and NVR system with this Reolink - great decision! I never did figure out all the settings on the Q-See NVR; they were confusing and some made no sense at all. After initially installing the Q-See system several years ago and it not working, and me trying to contact their Customer (non-)Support several times with no luck, the Q-See system just started working one day. Contrast that with me installing the Reolink 16 ch. NVR and connecting the 8 new Reolink cameras to it - I connected the Reolink NVR to the router; HDMI cable to a monitor; then plugged it in and turned it on before connecting any of the cameras to it. Then I connected the POE cameras one-by-one and let the NVR discover and assign a local address to each. With that job successfully completed, I downloaded the Reolink app and scanned the barcode on the NVR - instant setup of the system on the app and I can see all 8 cameras on my phone! I cant speak to the effectiveness of Reolink customer support as Ive not yet had to contact them!

> 24 hourWe got the cameras almost a year ago. We really like them, the picture is nice and clear. And the price was not bad. We have family members who have different cameras and wished they got those instead. And we can watch and replay from our phones even if we arent home or see it on the tv at Home which makes it a bit bigger.

> 24 hourDay film is really really good on a 4K TV. Night is just ok, a Lot of Ghosting- people walking but you can only see a faded silhouette of them. With in 5 months the Front Mouse USB died, not the mouse, the jack on the machine. Sound went dim on one of the cameras...I think it had something to do with the rain but its suppose to be an outside camera. I had to swap 2 (out of the 8) cameras when I first got this due to sound noise and they were Very good at technical support and the swap-So I have to give them credit for that Im going to guess that the real capture area is in the center of the camera- No matter where you put the detection area in the programming it will miss movement on the sides if it doesnt come into the middle of the frame.......This seems to be an issue with many other cameras. 1 thing that is very disappointing is that you cant really move the camera from the mount very well as it seems to not want to move or scrapes the plastic while you are moving it. 9 months later another camera died, just died for no reason. Cant even go back to look at the video to see if something happened because once it died so did ALL of its recorded videos >:( To get a replacement I need to pay to send back to them- this is after 30 days and up to 1 year, after 1 year you pay to return and them to send something to you (both ways). Cables are really cheap and now that I am stuck with this camera system I will have to spend more $$ to get better longer cables. Wait for a sale on Amazon and if something dies within 30 days send the whole thing back.

> 24 hourLongtime NVR user for residential, had 8yrd old Swann system, cameras and NVR build was good, but recently upgraded to newer swann, was no impressed. So returned to Amazon, searched, read up reviews, YT vids, etc, using only Amazon (US) to buy from, surprisingly not a wide variety of brands to selection from. Received the equipment, even the boxing was top notch, all cameras even the PTZ i bought was excellent build. The set up to network was easier than the 8yrs old Swann i had. Note the PTZ dome can utilize the same ethernet to move camera. Just dont go crazy with it. The picture quality is clear 1080 type. Comparable to the previous 1080p I purchased, keep in mind the UI is same as all other brands now, the new Swann I returned used exact same UI, so nothing different in features available, that depends on type of NVR or cameras purchased. I chose the H.265 due to the compression rates, its good, set up on my cell phone was even easier than I thought, picked up device right away. Note i have not set up external access yet and have yet to seek tech support, as when setting up remote access there a variety ways to do this, best call this company to help. Security and prevention of hack in should be considered. Definitely will recommend this product to others.

> 24 hourYou can see from the picture that there is a 1/4 of water in the camera the lines is fogy and it burnt out the night vision of the camera. I emailed them about this situation and another have had no response from them. There is no phone # its all on line. There Web sight could be a lot better hard to navigate. They say the cameras are weather proof but looking at some other clients they say they are not. Easy to set up but terrible customer support. Well after some Time they were able to help me out, something about an e-mail problem They did replace the camera and it works well. A contact # would be helpful. Im Happy.
