Greater than one weekI purchased the Reolink 4k, 16 channel system. Definitely not 4k resolution. Overall, good picture, Easy setup.would have been worth the price if I got 4k resolution because that’s what I paid for.

> 3 dayLongtime NVR user for residential, had 8yrd old Swann system, cameras and NVR build was good, but recently upgraded to newer swann, was no impressed. So returned to Amazon, searched, read up reviews, YT vids, etc, using only Amazon (US) to buy from, surprisingly not a wide variety of brands to selection from. Received the equipment, even the boxing was top notch, all cameras even the PTZ i bought was excellent build. The set up to network was easier than the 8yrs old Swann i had. Note the PTZ dome can utilize the same ethernet to move camera. Just dont go crazy with it. The picture quality is clear 1080 type. Comparable to the previous 1080p I purchased, keep in mind the UI is same as all other brands now, the new Swann I returned used exact same UI, so nothing different in features available, that depends on type of NVR or cameras purchased. I chose the H.265 due to the compression rates, its good, set up on my cell phone was even easier than I thought, picked up device right away. Note i have not set up external access yet and have yet to seek tech support, as when setting up remote access there a variety ways to do this, best call this company to help. Security and prevention of hack in should be considered. Definitely will recommend this product to others.

> 3 dayThis product is a security camera but you cannot secure your cameras because you have to reset them at the cameras constantly. Then after you do that they may or may not work. each camera gets its own IP but the NVR does not really do that well at assigning them and when it restarts they are all reset and half of them wont work causing the need to climb back into the attic to reset each camera. My suggestion is to get a much less extensive system or a better system this one is not well laid out and there for does not work as well as the cheaper systems I use at other locations.

> 3 dayI just got the system and havent set it up in its forever home yet. Done testing but thats currently it. Heres what I am going to cover; quality, packaging, overall impression. QUALITY: looks good wish it wasnt white. The camera feel solid and they come highly recommended. The nvr seems well built but its kinda loud. Picture quality its on point AFTER YOU SET IT TO 4K. With the assistance of my 7 year old son I tested all of the cameras in a hallway. Even at 45-50 feet i could see his facial features i believe those features are easily identifiable with and without the night vision on. My biggest complaints. 1. Mouse doesnt work at all. 2. The ethernet cables are junk. Full stop trash. The sheathing is loose some are finished well but then others dont match. the clips are damaged and they dont seem like they would hold up for more then two years if that. Consider this before your crawl into the massive oven box known as the attic. I think they could sell a system without the wires and the crappy non working mouse and lower the price and weight of the system shipped 3. The interface isnt great specially without the mouse. Its hard to tell were you are in the menus and using the directional buttons are a pain. I definitely see this as a quality of life thing that needs alot of improvement. PACKAGING: great packaging everything arrived safe and sound (minus the mouse and them crappy wires) The cameras come in foam and a soft plastic foam bag. The crappy ethernet wires are also wrapped odd but thats not an issue. The recorder was packaged with foam inserts on the edges to keep it centered. The nvr has it own box while the cameras are paired 4 in a box. Overall impression: as stated based off the wires and that stupid mouse i still think this is a pretty good deal. I think for under 1000 for 8 4k night vision cams its a good pick up. Definitely worth knowing that if something happens around your house you have recorded evidence. I cant judge tech support so I didnt give them stars. I hope this doesnt hurt their reviews I cant justify giving 5 stars for something I didnt use. UPDATE: sometimes the nvr seems to go nuts. I will post pictures but it seems like maybe I have a bad nvr? I dont know when it reboots sometimes it has some pretty crazy issues. I will reach out to reolink hopefully they got some answers. I have to knock a star down due to the need to do so in such a short amount of time

Greater than one weekSystem was easy to set up and PoE makes connections simple with a single cable. Picture quality is very good, really amazing compared to analog cameras. Motion sensitivity can be adjusted, but I have not found a setting where alerts can be useful without bugs, cobwebs, and rain setting off false alarms, so I am not using alerts. App is easy to use, as is the NVR interface. The only problem I had is that one of the 8 cameras failed after a few weeks, but Im exchanging that under warranty (well see how that goes...).

> 3 dayI’ve owned this system for almost 2 years now. I’ve been waiting almost 2 years for them to finish the app that goes along with the system. I’ve re ached out to support shot a year ago asking when they would finish the app. They stated it takes time. It was been long enough for me to admit they have no intention of finishing the app. System settings are global. Disabling an alert or buzzer on one camera isn’t easy. You pretty much have to disable notifications and buzzers on all cameras, and remember to log back into the system and enable the settings again. I wish I could get a refund.
