> 3 dayI absolutely love the watermelon salt chews! I am a personal trainer and sports nutrition coach and often find that clients don’t know that hydration status is based on water AND electrolytes. They will tell me that they drink “tons of water” but still get cramps, headaches, and upset stomachs, and when I direct them to try taking electrolytes that are shocked at what a drastic effect they have. I find that SaltStick chews are the most convenient form because they genuinely taste good, are easy on the stomach (I have a very sensitive stomach and Gatorade, GU, HoneyStinger etc all don’t work for me), and can be taken as needed rather than having to be taken in liquid form. There is nothing I would change about this product and I couldn’t recommend it enough!

> 3 dayI usually dont take the time to do a deep review but this time I really feel that I need to share my experience. Ive been running for over 5 years now but started getting serious with my weekly mileage about a year ago (was doing only 16 miles/week and now Im at around 30 miles/week). I live in South Florida and it gets very hot most of the year which makes the long runs very challenging. I spent the last few months training for the Miami Half Marathon and feeling good and ready for the race and on the race day the weather got hot and I was sweating so profusely that didnt realize that my GUs and water were not doing enough to recover my lost sodium and eventually at around mile 10 I had to start taking walking breaks until the point that I start having all the symptoms of hyponatremia (low sodium- confusion, fatigue and headache). I had a goal of finishing the half-marathon under 2 hours and ended up finishing with 2 hours 13 minutes. After this I was super frustrated and started reading more about what happened until I talked to a few pro runners that mentioned salt pills. I came across these pills and decided to sign up for another half marathon last Sunday with my wife ( 305 Half Marathon). I took 2 pills 30 minutes before the race, then 2 pills at mile 4 and then 2 pills every 3 miles. I also took my GUs after mile 4 between the salt pills and felt amazing during the whole race (temp was about the same as the first race). I dont think you can ever attribute your success at any sport event to only one factor but I know that this was a huge contributor to how I felt during my race. I ended up finishing with a time of 1:59:24 and this time I was only aiming at a 2:05 goal. From now on I am using these pills on any run under hot weather over 8 miles which are all my Saturday runs. Please consider that not every person looses sodium at the same rate through perspiration and this will make a difference for people with high perspiration rate as myself. My wife runs with me everyday and at the end of a 10 miles run at over 80F she still almost totally dry, reason why she does not need this pills. Before trying this, I tried GUs, sport drinks, other gels, etc and could not find something that would really help me battle the fatigue on hot days, so this was a thing of trial and error until I found something that works. Hope my story helps other people with similar issues. Happy running!

Greater than one weekMy daughter has a condition which leads to frequent dehydration symptoms, despite drinking 7-10 liters of water daily. Salt Stick is one of her preferred tools for managing her condition and avoiding headaches and fatigue, particularly in hot weather (anything over 70 is miserable for her.) These chews are easy for her to keep in her backpack and add to her regimen of constant ice water. I have also found them helpful occasionally when I wake up with a headache. They taste good and really help me get going faster. It should be obvious, but these need to be taken WITH plenty of water!

> 3 dayI love this company’s products. This one tastes delicious, but it does not work as well as the Vitassium fast chew electrolyte tablets in grape or tropical punch. Still a great buy, but if you are doing a hard core work out or tend to get salt depleted, go for the grape or tropical punch chews from the same company.
