SAMSUNG 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E250B/AM)

Wow! What a difference from my old 7200 rpm HDD. BOOT to internet in under 30 seconds. Only downside is software disc version 4.5 was not compatible so I had to go to Samsung site and download latest version. Install worked flawlessly after that with Windows 10. I would highly recommend upgrading to SSD at least for running your OS. You wont regret it.

Works great so far with no preoblems.

I still wasnt able to test write and read speeds as i havent build my pc yet, but im using it as external drive at the moment with a sata to usb connector i got and it has been working without problems at all. (i am actually able to test the speeds but as it is connected with an usb that limits the speed and it gives much less performance than connected directly to the mobo with the sata port). The only con would be that it comes with 20gb less than published(230gb) which wouldnt be any deal at all on an hdd, but on a ssd every single gb is really important and costs money, so its kinda disappointing.Rather than that, no complain. I will update the review once i can test the speeds, until then, no reason to put a different rating.

I purchased to put into my wifes Dell 1764 laptop as she complained that it was getting slow. With this and a memory upgrade from 4GB to 8GB of RAM, her 5 year old computer is like a brand new computer. If I were to only have done one of the two, it would have been to just replace her old standard drive with this SDD one. I tested it with just the memory upgrade and there wasnt much difference in the speed.

Easy to install, just wish it came with some screws and a cable. Had to make a separate trip to my local MicroCenter to get all my parts.

This SSD is amazingly fast. I used it to replace the hard drive on my laptop and now my laptop boots up in 7 seconds or less. I have had it for a while and it doesnt seem to be slowing down one bit. Files transfers are quick as well. If you need to replace your hard drive on a laptop I would say this is perfect for you.

Never go back to my old disk! Love new SSD and performance on PC
