SAMSUNG 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E250B/AM)

This solid state drive was wonderful. Setup was easy, I like the magician software that has quick access to windows settings that pertain to SSDs, and its really sped up my computer. The only reason Im giving four stars out of five is that it didnt come with the necessary mounting bracket for putting it in a tower computer. Cmon, Samsung! Its a piece of metal and some screws, you could have thrown it in. Anyway, bear in mind that you need to get a bracket if youre getting this for a desktop.

Huge improvement in my 2009 macbook pro. Boot time is less than 30 seconds! Apps open instantly. It used to take 3 minutes on the stock hard drive. Dont forget to enable TRIM support if you have an older model mac!.

Samsung is always the best option

So far so good! installation of the operating system was super fast, and restarting the system is very quick too.

I bought this to make a cloned backup of my Samsung hard boot drive in my PC after the Samsung USB drives failed to be able to make a cloned boot drive backup. This worked perfectly and very simply with the software provided. The main catch is that the software will only work if you care cloning to a Samsung internal type drive. But beware! Samsung USB drives are NOT recognized be the Samsung software. The existing boot drive brand does not appear to matter.

This is a really good external hard drive

Seems to run fast. It certainly boots Win 7 much faster than my old hard drive. I should have took benchmark measurements of my old drive to compare speed.

The SSD is fine, but the installation software DOES NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS 10. The Samsung software doesnt even recognize the Samsung SSD. With help from a third party application (EaseUS Todo Backup) I was able to clone my existing laptop HDD to the SSD. The SSD is now installed and running in the laptop. And YES, it makes the machine real quick. In fact, my laptop now makes my desktop feel sluggish. It was a lot of work hunting up free cloning software that worked with Win 10. No more Samsung SSDs for me until Samsung gets their installation software working with Win 10 (and that means both the Samsung Magician and Samsung Data Migration tools).

Unparalleled quality and reliability. I dont foresee a change of SSD brands for me and any computers I build for others any time soon.
