Very dependable and comes with excellent software to clone your current disk if using it as a replacement. Be sure you know how to replace your disk in your system before starting. A search on you tube can provide a clip to review. Each system is different to get at the disk.

SSD for an operating system is the best upgrade ever. Everything is faster. I used the data migration tool and, once I moved my files, music, documents, photos to a storage drive, all program and operating files were copied so when I replaced the spinning drive with the SSD, it was about 10 times faster to boot. My son recommended the EVO 850 (he is 13) because he recently built a computer and used this exact SSD. It works just as well for me as it does for him.

I have an older PC. I have done a few upgrades such a RAM and a better video card. However the overall operational speed was still lacking. Upgrading from a standard HDD to this SSD made a vast improvement in my computers ability to load both Windows and any other program I run. This drive have been VERY reliable. Update: I have been using this drive for nearly 2 years now. It has worked FLAWLESSLY.

Arrived on time, fit the laptop perfectly and was easy to install

Upgraded my Dell Studio XPS 1647. Works very well. Software included can also be downloaded online. It migrated my OS from my old HDD very quickly. My process: 1. Backup everything you need off old HDD to external or anywhere else. 2. Install Samsung software off CD to old HDD. 3. Open up laptop place SSD into old HDD slot. Move old HDD to optical bay with caddy. 4. Boot with old HDD through F2. 5. Use Samsung software to migrate old HDD to new SSD. 6. Restart and change boot order from old HDD to SSD as primary. 7. Use disk management to clear/format partition on old HDD and use it as storage. When using disk management to format my old HDD, I kept my recovery partition and OEM partition on my old HDD incase I need to use F8 and reinstall windows with factory settings. Since my COA sticker is unreadable anyways.

Drive purchased and installed on February 2016 failed last week (June 2017) after moderate use in a laptop in an office and rarely gets moved. When working was fast and really improved overall performance of the laptop. Bought a Samsung due to positive experiences with their phones and some of their other electronics.

Installation is simple and with the Wizard it is easy to copy/transfer data across drives.
