If you have a brand new laptop, it is more than likely that your laptop came with a 5400 rpm drive. Get this drive and see the difference. It is super fast and very easy to install. The cloning process from the old drive on the laptop was very easy with the included software.

No problems, arrived quickly and worked as promised.

Hardware install on my Lenovo T420 was easy -- only one screw to swap out original SSD for this SSD. I used an Etekcity® Portable Hard Drive Enclosure w/ eSATA to clone the original Lenovo T420 SSD to this larger, faster SSD. The utilities that shipped w/ the drive failed to clone my drive (lowering my experience 1 star), but Macrium Reflect (free) handled the drive cloning easily. HW install--just one screw on T420--was easy. I liked the SSD tuning utility, and performance was excellent.

In this case, go with the brand name. I tried no name SSD drives and they dont compare to the ease of installation that comes with this Samsung drive. Not being an expert, I appreciated the cloning and tuning software that came with the drive. Two notes, you will need a SATA to USB adapter or external hard drive case to connect to your computer to clone your drive to this new SSD. This does not come with the product. Also, if you dont have a optical drive on your computer, you will need to find the software online or copy the software off the disk onto a USB drive from another computer.

Upgraded my MacBook Pro. Couldnt be anymore simple. Just duplicate the existing HD and replace. Makes the mac amazingly fast.

Do you ever hate to reboot your computer, you know it is going to take forever.... After years of being behind in the game, I added this SSD as my boot device to my Envy 700-216. OMG what a difference it makes!!! Everything seems to run faster. I never should have waited all these years! Thank you Samsung!

Works great. One drive died and lost everything, but Samsung sent a new one right away.

Samsung 850 EVO installed and working fine. Good SSD.

Loaded OS on this and now Im ready to go in about 15 seconds.
