SAMSUNG 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E250B/AM)

Bought the 250gb model to replace the Hard Drive in my 7 year old Samsung Series 7 laptop. It is Core I5 with 8gb of RAM and, if you note many models sold today have those same specs. Cloning was carried out by installing this Hard Drive in a Inateck USB 3.0 HDD SATA External Hard Drive Disk Enclosure Case for 9.5mm 7mm 2.5 Inch SATA HDD and SSD(FE2004), purchased for $9.99 and went perfectly. Samsung includes two softwares with this product, one is for cloning the drive and theother is a program that lets you configure the SSD and monitor its health. I didnt use the Samsung cloning software, I used Macrium Reflect (free online) since there were many videos on YouTube about this software. The cloning went smoothly and quickly. After installation into the laptop booted up (amazingly quickly), I then used the Samsung magician software to configure the system for the SSD (such thing as turning off hibernation which is not needed with SSDs). I also ran the read/write tests in the program and got 540mb read and 520mbs write. These speeds are very acceptable and have injected new life into my almost 7 year old laptop.

cant go wrong with Samsung SSD still the best I have owned and I have tried almost every brand so far to try and save but in the end they are slow or weird at times vs Samsung

I have a 5 year old acer aspire and this was a dramatic improvement to it. Made my laptop super fast like a brand new computer. I bought this one because of the good reviews and it paid off.

Ive always heard that SSDs are faster, better, etc. But I had never tried one before. After buying this SSD I managed to see why people talk so much about it, I can reset/turn on my computer within a couple of seconds its like magic. If there is a thing Im really impressed and happy about on my last computer build, it is this product, definately recommend it.

Just received this drive and its basically dead. I cant clone it, cant create a partition on it. Pretty useless, lets see how it goes with returns or replacements as I waited a while to receive this. UPDATE: Received replacement drive and was able to clone drive with Samsung software included. So far its super fast, lets see if I have any issues after several months of use.
