> 3 daySo easy to use and store and has great suction. The attachments are very useful and are great if you have carpeted steps. I had to learn to lean it against the wall in storage so it wouldnt fall, but them I realized that you can take off the top section and hook it to the vacuum at the bottom. Its also nice that you can see the amount of dirt that ends in the container at the top! I dont know about the durability since Ive only had it for a month or so.

> 3 dayYoure reading reviews for this vacuum because you have two concerns: hair and weight. Consider your problems solved. First, hair. As you can see from the attached image, I have the kind of long, extremely thick hair that strangles vacuum rollers dead in nanoseconds. This vacuums roller has a groove carved into the plastic so you can quickly and easily slide a knife or scissor blade in, severing every hair with no hassle. Instant cleanup, no destroyed roller. The suction is no joke. There are two settings: one that is as powerful as my old vacuum on max power, and one that is TURBO CHARGED. This will demolish ground-in dirt and hair even from high-pile carpet or rugs. The suction is so powerful, even carpeting and rugs that have been pounded completely flat have the fibers physically pulled upwards, so even if your hairy little monster of a pet likes to destroy carpet or rug fibers, after vacuuming they feel plush and wonderful. Con: on Turbo mode, you will smell burning hair. The motor really is not kidding around and will set itself on fire before it allows the tiniest speck of dirt to remain on your floor. Second: weight. Its remarkably lightweight and very easy to heft around even with tiny elf arms. The maneuverability of the vacuum head is excellent and can work around such tight unwieldy places as between chair legs. All the pieces pop apart and reassemble with no trouble, so storage and transportation will never be an issue. Con: almost all of the weight is in the top handle, where the motor is. This can make it a tiny bit difficult to get the vacuum head to stay on the ground properly, and makes it nigh impossible for you just to stand the vacuum up anywhere and leave it there. Being top-heavy does it no favors. General design con: the canister is somewhat small and connected directly to the motor so you cant just pop it out, empty it into a bin, and pop it back into the vacuum. Its very easy to empty, but you are still going to have to heft the motor around with it, and the motor is obviously still going to be plugged into the wall. Good news is that the motor/handle/canister all pops free of the other bits with a simple lever press, so its not like you need to carry the entire vacuum with you when you head to the bin. Bonus pro: there are a huge number of attachments, heads, and specialty bits and bobs in with the vacuum. I dont know what half of them are used for. Some are obviously for cleaning off stairs, or ceiling fans, or getting into crevasses, but some of them, who even knows. Literally whatever kind of application youd like this vacuum for, theres probably a specialized nozzle for it. This is the cleanest my stairs have been in four years. Final pitch: look, I get it. I have a A Thing about money where no matter how worthy a purchase it is, a triple digit price tag makes me flinch. I put off getting a new vacuum for months and watched my own mental health spiral, knowing a contributing factor was that I was living in rising masses of dirt and grime. Danger had its element, too; a pie plate exploded (dont ask) and glass shards found themselves all over my kitchen floor, and some ended up in my feet. No vacuum to clean up the shards I couldnt see and couldnt get up with a broom and dustpan. I know being surrounded by painful messes were powerless to fix is a 2020 mood and all, but this metaphor is a little too on the nose. I caved and bought the vacuum. I cranked her up this morning. This is the best Ive felt in months. I know the price tag is a little steep compared to other lightweight vacs, but its powerful and versatile enough that its absolutely worth the expenditure. If youre looking for a worthwhile vacuum that will demolish human hair, pet hair, ground-in dirt, and particulates from any flooring you could possibly have, all while staying under $200, this is it.

> 3 dayBought this Shark vacuum to replace a small battery operated one that went kaput, Im very impressed with its performance and its so light compared to my Dyson. It actually cleaned an area on a light colored rug that I had gone over many times with the Dyson and just figured I had to resort to shampoo to get it match the rest of the carpet, but after going over it with the Shark it was definitely cleaner, couldnt believe it as I thought Dyson was the gold standard in vacuum cleaners. The LED lights are very useful and not gimmicky. Very happy with it so far.

> 3 daySwitched to this lightweight vac from a larger Dirt Devil model. Quickly switch from floor stick to handheld with attachments for furniture. No filter, just empty the cup! Cleans great on laminate floors, rugs and tile.

> 3 dayReader warning: these are my first impressions, Ive only used the vacuum a couple times. Out of the box, the vacuum seems very nice. It has no problem dealing with my cats hair, and made quick work out of a carpet that was overdue for a good cleaning. I have absolutely no issues/grievances. This specific vacuum was recommended to me by my roommates sister. I know shes had her vacuum for over 6 months, and uses it multiple times per week, due to having multiple dogs. With that in mind, I feel confident in saying this is a good vacuum. For apartments with pets. (or without, but why dont you have a pet?)

> 3 dayI bought this vacuum to replace a battery operated stick vac that lasted 18 months and after a replacement battery operated vac only had moderate suction on high power, short battery life, and overheating. I needed a stick vac for cat hair and litter tracking on hard floors in a large multicat household. I trusted Shark since my upright is still working after 7 years but works better on carpet. I went back to a corded vac since it just doesn’t seem like the technology is there for battery operated vacs since I’m always running out of battery life and using up too much power for suction. So, this unit appears to do a solid job on hard floors. No vacuum is perfect. There were times I had to go over the same spot because litter got thrown by the roller. But overall, picked up cat hair right away and most of the litter. Motor stayed cool and didn’t overheat. I may get an extension cord. I bought the large cup.

> 3 dayOriginal review: 11.14.14 Normally, I wouldnt write a review when there are 554 others, but this vacuum cleaner has changed my life! Its hard to believe how much dirt it gets up-*every* time I vacuum...which means its hard to believe how much dirt I was living in before, in the world of the Hoover upright. Im still experimenting with all the attachment doodads--its way more vacuum than Ive ever had before. But even though I love it, there are a few things that are less than ideal, for me at least: *The cord is way too long. I get tangled up in it. It would be easier for me to unplug a shorter one and put it in another outlet in another room. *The little devil is so powerful that it pulls me across the room. *The dirt cup is hard to get off. I have to use a knife handle to push the release button while I open the cup with the other hand. *I do wish it stood up by itself. Meanwhile, Im trying to persuade all my friends, clean-freaks and otherwise, to get one. 1.6.15 Update. Heres the caveat, which maybe everyone else would know to look for, but I didnt. The vacuum cleaner fell over tonight and as I bent to pick it up, I noticed that the bottom was turquoise blue…just the color of my rug. When I looked closer, the entire beater bar was wound tightly with cat fur and blue strands from the rug. It took me 25 minutes to cut, pry, and pull all of it off--see the photo for how much there was. So now I know to clean off the bottom of the vacuum in addition to emptying the cup every time and washing the filter once a month. 3.26.17 Update. My little Shark Rocket is still going strong. *The dirt cup is no longer hard to get off--the latch is not as tight as it was when it was new. *Now that I know to check the beater bar whenever I put it away, anything that gets caught is easily removed. The suction is still strong though--it once ate a sock. *As it ages, the locking mechanism that keeps it upright doesnt work as well. It needs to be firmly propped up against a wall so it doesnt come crashing to the floor. It still pulls in the most amazing amount of dirt, dust, and cat fur, even if I vacuumed the day before.
