Does a great job around our house...much easier to operate than our Shark Navigator. Only issue is, Shark doesnt list any HV370 numbers and currently no way to purchase filters, hook or parts

I can’t believe I never reviewed this vacuum. After seven years, it’s still going strong BUT I only use it twice a month to clean a huge rug in my living room. It does an excellent job of removing all the dog hair. It is quite unwieldy and wants to go off in its own directions. Because the motor is on top and quite heavy, my wrist is really sore by the time I’ve finished. The head is small so I have to spend time going over it all but eventually I get it done. The release latches have never worked well. The dust bin latch is easier than the handheld motor release but I have to fiddle with both. I will be both sad and relieved when it finally dies. I used this last on a Monday and it took until Friday for my back to heal. I just can’t do it anymore. The swivel is just too difficult to deal with and all the weight is in my wrist.

I purchased two (2) of these vacuums, one for my mothers house and one for my condo. We had two Orecks, but the collar that holds the two pieces of the vacuum together just kept breaking. At work, I eat popcorn and some of it ends up under my desk. The cleaning people use this Shark vacuum to clean our building. I went to the supply cabinet where they keep their Shark vacuum and borrowed it to get up all the popcorn from under my desk. I then proceed to vacuum the rest of my office. It works great! Lightweight, plenty of suction, and the head swivels, so it is very easy to maneuver. I am very happy with this vacuum, and I think you will be too. 100% recommended. 5 stars!

I love how I can finally get under all of the beds a lot of the furniture without remodeling the house. My only gripe is that there is no way to store/carry the attachments, which I use a lot. Somewhat inconvenient to truck them from room to room, but keeps the vacuum very light. I dont even mind the smaller compartment because I am guaranteed to empty it after each use. It is great for a house with 3 dogs and an indoor/outdoor cat. I like how the top hooks on the bottom for storage. Tiny and powerful.

We love our rocket vacuums, which we use at our vacation rentals, as they fold flat and make cleaning under the beds easy, however our first experience with this unit, which is now 9 months old, is the release mechanism for the head broke. We are asking our maintenance to see if they can rig a fix. Hoping these arent disposable vacuums.

I really like this vacuum. It is not lightweight - its actually kind of top heavy. Nevertheless, I like it because it has great suction, great maneuverability, a very long cord, and its easy to use. 4 stars because it is heavier than Id like for a stick vacuum, and emptying the dust cup can get a bit messy.

I bought this for a long-term guest staying in our vacation rental because they like to vacuum every day and they were absolutely thrilled!

Skip to the bottom for the TLDR;! Vacuums are the literal bane of my existence. I originally had a blue Shark Rocket just like this orange one, but one of my buns ate through the cord. Ever since then, Ive been cursed to only find vacuums that commit sudoku with mine and my husbands hair. I live in a ~650sqft one bedroom apartment. Its not exactly a lot of space and the only carpet is the bedroom, living room, and the dining area. Kitchen and bathroom are linoleum. I have extremely thick and extremely long hair. I shed hair as much as any animal Ive seen and if I dont vacuum about once a week, a nice layer of hair settles in areas where Im commonly at. I mentioned that one of my buns (she passed a few years ago; RIP Oreo) ate through the cord of my first Shark. No, she didnt die from eating through the cord because she didnt literally eat the cord. She just ripped it to shreds and spit it everywhere for fun. The second vacuum I got was another Shark. It was lost to my hair, presumably because of the time it took me to get a new vacuum. The hair piled up and killed the vacuum. Thats when I became aware of the issue of my hair. My parents had a Dyson vacuum to clean up the mess that is my constant shedding, as well as hardwoods everywhere except the bedrooms, so I never knew. So I buy a third vacuum, a red one that I literally dont remember the branding for at all. I got it as a cheap hold-over until I could afford to shell out another $200+ on a vacuum. It, too, was lost to my hair. I used it a single time and my hair got wound up in the motor of the brush roller and BURNED MY HAIR TO A CRISP around the motor gear so much so that I couldnt remove the hair. Toast. So I shell out the $170 or whatever it costs for another of the same blue Shark I had originally. After all, the only reason IT broke was because my bun ate through the cord. Three vacuums later and... toast. Same issue as the red no name vacuum, actually. Brush roller motor sucked up my hair as I vacuumed, burned it to a crisp and became impossible to use. Its not a lot of hair I find in there. Just enough to jam everything up and be impossible to remove. Now, onto this vacuum :/ I want to LOVE THIS VACUUM. Its great in every way. Its got fantastic suction and my floors felt clean the first two times I used it. It picked up a TON of stuff out of my gross carpets and I was finally feeling good about them. Id been very diligent about cleaning my hair out of the roller and making sure the motor is free of hair so it doesnt fry and Im excited because I think THIS IS THE ONE TRUE VACUUM. And then I use it today. I get the small piece of hallway in between my bedroom and bathroom and a little of my vacuum when I notice that Im smelling burning plastic and hair and that the brush roller isnt actually pulling me across the floor anymore. The light is still green, as if everything is fine, but I turn it off and flip it over to clean out any hair that might be too tightly wound. Huzzah! The motor is fine. However... the opposite side of the brush roller that isnt attached to the motor is literally melted to the vacuum and can no longer spin. Hair probably got into this tiny nook between where the rollers end is housed and the roller itself. But I was only vacuuming for ~3 minutes. It felt pretty bad considering I paid 200$ for this vacuum. I dont think its too much to ask that spinning parts not be open to things that can get caught inside, like human hair. But I also may literally be cursed because I havent seen any other stories like mine. I cant give this vacuum five stars because despite its normally fantastic performance, I feel like the plastic shouldnt have been so vulnerable to melting. I was only vacuuming for less than five minutes and the brush roller had been completely cleaned beforehand. The vacuum did not indicate that something was wrong, either. The light stayed green for the entirety of the three minutes until I shut it off because I smelt plastic and hair and wanted to save the vacuum. But I dont feel right giving this vacuum one star either. It performs REALLY WELL under normal circumstances and I think itd make a great vacuum for most people. For those who might wonder: no, Im not sick and no, Im not balding. Ive just always had a lot of hair break/fall out no matter what I do and my hair never gets any thinner despite it. I did recently cut off about eight inches of it, though, out of frustration and it helped the amount of hair breakage/loss. It sits just passed my shoulders now. /endrant TLDR; MY BRUSH ROLLER MELTED TO THE WALL OF THE VACUUM AND IT NO LONGER SPINS. But this isnt the first time its happened to me, so: I can honestly say I DO recommend this vacuum if: -You have hair that isnt super long and super thick -You have pets -You like having a clean home -You want something small and versatile that isnt cordless (I dislike cordless vacuums) -You want something easy to store I DO NOT recommend this vacuum if: -You have murder hair

We are now old and weak. We loved our Kirby but its now too heavy and too awkward to use. We have two cats and needed pet hair pickup. I have allergies so HEPA filtration was a must have as well. The Shark Rocket exceeded expectations. I had just vacuumed with the Kirby last week and the Rocket cleaned up after the Kirby. I was amazed. The Rocket is super light weight, simple and moves around the furniture with ease. Would highly recommend the Shark Rocket to old people facing weakness that comes with age and diminished health.

Love Love Love this little machine... First because it is simple... Im tired of all these fancy vacuums that have too many filters... too many corners for the dirt to go around.. belts for this belts for that.. bags that you have to hunt all around town to find... all which get clogged up or stretched out and you have to purchase continuously. My old Hoover clogged up so easy that I had to tear apart the whole machine every time I used it or it would just suck in dirt in the front and throw it all over my feet and the floor behind it. This little machine has a washable (or replaceable) filter.. a powerful motor, a container for the dirt and a head to push across the floor or more appropiately hang on while the suction pulls you across the carpet. Second reason I love it is .. it is lightweight. I have issues with my back and the bigger ones caused pain when I used them. Twisting and turning trying to get the clunky machines around furniture. The Rocket practically goes around the furniture itself, you just have to guide it. I have a two story house and I used to have to have two vacuums - one on each level- because I could not haul the heavy ones up and down the 13 step -steep stairway.. This one is so lightweight that it is no problem. Third, the main floor cleaning head is smaller than most vacuums. I live in a 100 year old renovated house which has lots of smaller spaces, closets, This smaller brush head makes it easy for me to get around the nooks and crannies of this old house and under the antique furniture. No longer have to get the dust mop out because this machine lays flat to reach way under the furniture. Also it comes with a hard wook floor dusting attachment, with a washable pad... EXCELLENT! Which brings me to the 4th reason. The attachments... It comes with the regular brush head, the hardwood floor dusting head, three upholstery cleaning heads. One is a velcro type head which is excellent gathering up and getting rid of pet hair. (We just recently acquired a house cat for the first time and he has claimed a certain chair as his.) And it has a collection of smaller heads for cleaning things like your keyboard and computer fans. Also is very portable, it will rock in vacuuming the car carpets. Fifth reason is that is is small enough to hang on the wall. It comes with an attachment so you can hang it up and a handy bag for all the attachments. The old vacuums had to be moved here and there because they were always in the way, even in storage. Being in a 100 year old house, the house wasnt designed for storage of electric appliances and tools. We had to store it in the porch that goes out the back door and had to move it every time we wanted to go out the door. This one I can hang in the coat closet .. out of the way. I also love the long cord. I plug it in in one spot and it reaches my whole house on that level. Sixth reason is the price. It was affordable for us. We are on a tight budget and it fit in with that. No having to go to the bank to take out a loan for something to clean your floor. It is more powerful than my big clunky Hoover and I will look forward to cleaning now. If I had larger floors and more spacious areas I may have bought the bigger floor model Shark, but with my smaller spaces and bad back, this is the one for me.
