> 3 dayEveryone wants to vacuum!!!! It is quite easy and straight forward to use, easy to clean and empty dust and hair. Useful lights. Easy to store away quite compact. Nice design. It is powerful enough and given the price it is a very good vacuum cleaner for the price. We have been using it twice a day, at least, daily for like a month or so, as of today, and it works like a charm.

> 3 dayWe love our rocket vacuums, which we use at our vacation rentals, as they fold flat and make cleaning under the beds easy, however our first experience with this unit, which is now 9 months old, is the release mechanism for the head broke. We are asking our maintenance to see if they can rig a fix. Hoping these arent disposable vacuums.

> 3 dayI have always hated vacuuming. To the point that I would procrastinate until my floor felt annoying to walk on in bare feet. My old cheap vacuum broke down and I decided to try something more powerful to make this despicable task easier for me. To my surprise, after a few minutes using this vacuum, I felt something strange: enjoyment. The sheer suction power, the long cord, the sleek maneuverable design, the forward propelling motion, the ability to quickly detach the floor head and turn it into a long nose hand vacuum, and the ease of emptying the tank at the end. It was all so much easier. The forward propelling motion took some getting used to and I was fighting against it at first because I was used to old crappy vacuums that you have to push and pull all over the floor. Once, I got used to it, I really enjoyed it. It was like the vacuum was racing forward with urgency to clean the whole house for me and get the job done so I could return to doing something else. The speed and ease of that increase in forward motion really made the task easier. The maneuverability is also a game changer. The floor head on this is smaller than vacuums Im used to. But because it moves so fast and fits into smaller areas, it cleans faster. I also like how it rapidly turns left and right by twisting your wrist left and right. It changes the feel of the process from one like pushing a big heavy block to one like controlling a remote control vacuum race car. Once you get that little vacuum race car mindset, it becomes really straightforward to use. As for suction power, whoa. I like running it on the II setting at all times because you can go over 90% of the floor just once and get everything. Just be careful to avoid cords and shoe laces. I accidentally ran over both an iPhone charging cord and the long laces from one of my wifes fancy high heel shoes and it completely inhaled them and rolled them around the roller before I even realized Id made a mistake. I had to turn the vacuum off and a bit painfully but successfully unroll them out of the roller. But to me, this is actually a testament to its suction power and exactly what I bought it for. I just plan on being more careful next time. One thing to note about this vacuum: because of the slender design, it handles more like a power suction mop than a traditional vacuum. So you really have to hold it up. Its also kind of awesome though, because you can reach it long distances across the floor without walking just by leaning and pushing it forward. Its not a problem for me to use it one-handed because I have a lot of upper body strength. But I could see it being a bit of struggle for my wife. Luckily, I love using it so much and it gets the job done so quickly and thoroughly that we dont really have to worry about that.

> 3 dayFor what it is, it’s fine: an electric broom that can be used for light jobs. Pros: dust cup, no bags, light. Cons: very top-heavy, can’t stand up (need to hang somehow to store it), weight also makes using it as a dusting wand difficult. Also, I’m tall, and even so, I found the wand doesn’t reach far.

> 3 dayFor decades I have had a wall vacuum unit and I thought it was just okay. Recently the brush head broke and I came onto Amazon to price a replacement. Over a hundred dollars just for the brush head unit! Since I was never in love with the system I started pricing Dysons...all but the cheapest unit was out of my price range and I wasnt overly impressed with the reviews. So I headed over to the Shark reviews, looked at the various units and found I could get a nice unit for about $50 more than the replacement part for my wall system. Easy to assemble in a minute or so, easy to understand how to use...nice accessories. Since I was in the kitchen when I was putting it together, I decided to try it out first on an area rug my dog lays on (hes a short haired breed). The rug was about 2x4 no big area here...to say I was impressed was an understatement...I was shocked at the amount of dust and hair the unit picked up effortlessly...actually it was kinda creepy to know all that dirt was in that little rug, it filled the cup about halfway! I put on the floor dusting attachment and finished the kitchen, the cup is now full. Easy enough to empty the cup, I didnt understand all the whining about this feature in the reviews. Moved onto the dining room, nearly filled the cup again in just that room and it had been recently vacuumed. Moved onto the living room and got about 75% of it done before I had to find a new outlet, I was plugged into the kitchen and I have a big house over 2000 square feet! Filled the cup again and...maybe it was my imagination but my bare feet on the carpet felt cleaner. Easy to maneuver, you dont have to push it, it self propels forward saving a lot of backache. The other attachments were pretty much what you get with all other units with the exception of the mini ones that can clean you keyboard...I think it might suck up my laptop its so powerful, I havent used it yet so I cant comment. Used it some more the next day on more floors and bedroom carpets and was shocked at the amount of dust and hair in the cup. Now I will qualify my statements by saying I have never owned a Dyson, Ive never even used one so I cant compare the two. For the difference in price, there is nothing that the Dyson could offer me that I would want or need that the Shark doesnt already give me. I will also add that I was shocked how light the unit was, with all the bones up high by your handle, I thought reaching high with the attachments to get cobwebs off the ceiling would strain my wrist...nope, it was effortless. My ceilings are really high, 20 feet in some areas and I was able to get to all but the highest points and those areas I could get with a small step stool. As far as how long the unit will last...for the price if it only lasts until the 5 year warranty runs out I will be happy, Ive spent a whole lot more on units that only had a fraction of the cleaning power that this baby holds. I feel I got a really great value for the price. That you cant stand it up on its own is a minor hassle I can deal with. I recommend this unit highly!

> 3 dayI love my Shark Ultralight Upright! My other older vacuum is a 7 year old Dyson Animal, which is very effective, but heavy and bulky, and hard to maneuver when using the hose and attachments for bare floors. I hated to vacuum my floors, even though it was a very effective vacuum with no loss of suction. It made vacuuming a chore Id put off. My Shark Ultralight Upright is easy to use. It moves around my furniture easily with its swivel heads. Its lightweight and a joy to use. I dont dread the chore anymore. This Shark Uprights long cord allows me to cover most of my single story house with one plug in. The suction is amazing, and when compared to my older Dyson, Id have to say just as good. The price, much lower! One drawback to the Sharp upright is the dust cup. It is in the top section which attached to the plug, and is not a separate unit, (as it is in my Dyson) The rest of the unit can not stand by itself and so I either have to carry a bag or wastebasket along with me to empty the dust cup into or l need to remove it from the rest of the unit and take it to the waste basket, which is hopefully in reach of the plug. Then I need to reattach the rest of the unit, now lying on the floor where I have to leave it, to continue vacuuming. With 3 dogs and a long haired cat, I have to empty the dust cup frequently. I find bringing a waste bag along with me room to room easiest, then I dont have to remove the dust cup from the unit, I can just hold it over the bag, press the button to empty it when needed and continue. I am always amazed by how much dust and animal hair It picks up. Large pieces of paper etc tend to block the unit. By large I mean gum wrapper size, which wouldnt slow down a regular upright. Between the vacuum head and the dust cup is a ridged straight tube. Any blockage is easy to see when you detach the head and dust cup/motor and look through the tube. You can tell there is a blockage by the change in sound and the lack of suction. Ive been quick to learn what size debris the vacuum will pick up and what I should just bend down and pick up myself. Preventing this problem. Other than wishing the heads were a little lower as to get under more of my furniture, I am very happy with my purchase. I find I now vacuum more often, as it is no longer a chore. I have mostly hardwood floors with only a few scatter rugs due to allergies. So using the floor head for most of my vacuuming, then changing to the rug head is not a problem for me. If your more 50/50 floors to rugs throughout your house, you might find this a problem, but really its a minor problem if at all. The interchange of heads is quick and easy. All in all, I am thrilled! I vacuum more often as I enjoy using this vacuum and it picks up every thing my bulky more expensive vacuum did.

> 3 dayLove Love Love this little machine... First because it is simple... Im tired of all these fancy vacuums that have too many filters... too many corners for the dirt to go around.. belts for this belts for that.. bags that you have to hunt all around town to find... all which get clogged up or stretched out and you have to purchase continuously. My old Hoover clogged up so easy that I had to tear apart the whole machine every time I used it or it would just suck in dirt in the front and throw it all over my feet and the floor behind it. This little machine has a washable (or replaceable) filter.. a powerful motor, a container for the dirt and a head to push across the floor or more appropiately hang on while the suction pulls you across the carpet. Second reason I love it is .. it is lightweight. I have issues with my back and the bigger ones caused pain when I used them. Twisting and turning trying to get the clunky machines around furniture. The Rocket practically goes around the furniture itself, you just have to guide it. I have a two story house and I used to have to have two vacuums - one on each level- because I could not haul the heavy ones up and down the 13 step -steep stairway.. This one is so lightweight that it is no problem. Third, the main floor cleaning head is smaller than most vacuums. I live in a 100 year old renovated house which has lots of smaller spaces, closets, This smaller brush head makes it easy for me to get around the nooks and crannies of this old house and under the antique furniture. No longer have to get the dust mop out because this machine lays flat to reach way under the furniture. Also it comes with a hard wook floor dusting attachment, with a washable pad... EXCELLENT! Which brings me to the 4th reason. The attachments... It comes with the regular brush head, the hardwood floor dusting head, three upholstery cleaning heads. One is a velcro type head which is excellent gathering up and getting rid of pet hair. (We just recently acquired a house cat for the first time and he has claimed a certain chair as his.) And it has a collection of smaller heads for cleaning things like your keyboard and computer fans. Also is very portable, it will rock in vacuuming the car carpets. Fifth reason is that is is small enough to hang on the wall. It comes with an attachment so you can hang it up and a handy bag for all the attachments. The old vacuums had to be moved here and there because they were always in the way, even in storage. Being in a 100 year old house, the house wasnt designed for storage of electric appliances and tools. We had to store it in the porch that goes out the back door and had to move it every time we wanted to go out the door. This one I can hang in the coat closet .. out of the way. I also love the long cord. I plug it in in one spot and it reaches my whole house on that level. Sixth reason is the price. It was affordable for us. We are on a tight budget and it fit in with that. No having to go to the bank to take out a loan for something to clean your floor. It is more powerful than my big clunky Hoover and I will look forward to cleaning now. If I had larger floors and more spacious areas I may have bought the bigger floor model Shark, but with my smaller spaces and bad back, this is the one for me.

> 3 daySo easy to use and store and has great suction. The attachments are very useful and are great if you have carpeted steps. I had to learn to lean it against the wall in storage so it wouldnt fall, but them I realized that you can take off the top section and hook it to the vacuum at the bottom. Its also nice that you can see the amount of dirt that ends in the container at the top! I dont know about the durability since Ive only had it for a month or so.
