19-11-2024I opened this and thought, what a plastic piece of junk, lol then I used it, it is light, and pivots into the left or right, you do not have to fight it like my oreck. And you can not believe the stuff it picks up, I used it after my oreck and it picked up a ton of stuff out of my rugs. I got the extended warranty but doubt I will need it. Do let the looks fool you, it really is a great one, I like that you can remove the wand part and do stairs, tuffted buttons on my couch and if you use the want without the brushes, you can get it under the couch and there is a brush the goes flat under your fridge. Buy it you wont be sorry

20-11-2024I really like this vacuum. It is not lightweight - its actually kind of top heavy. Nevertheless, I like it because it has great suction, great maneuverability, a very long cord, and its easy to use. 4 stars because it is heavier than Id like for a stick vacuum, and emptying the dust cup can get a bit messy.

> 3 dayI’ve been using shark vacuums for the last 10 years in my housekeeping company. All around shark vacuums have been my favorite. Love the convenience of disconnecting bottom base of the vacuum

> 3 dayTook over a month to decide what vac to buy. Still have old Hoover Wind Tunnel from 2008, but its actually too powerful for carpet. Looked at Dyson etc. for $500, 700 and $800 vacs. Not convinced worth that kind of $. This vac is super lightweight. Figured the corded will give better power than the batteries cordless bc i dont think those are good enough yet for the cost. The handheld portion is great. Sucks up cat litter pellets. Works great on our condo low pile carpet- and so maneuverable. I have had to clean /cut away hair from the roller but with multiple cats and a big hairy dog, understandable. The dust cup is big and easily emptied. Wish it was a bag but at 6 lb theres gotta be compromise. For the price, I am very happy. Still keeping the Hoover bc that tank is like a household shop vac. But it also weighs a ton. This wattage aint close but its more powerful than I expected. Great for daily cleanups and the carpet work is fine. Sometimes need to hit along the corners with the wand. Would recommend for this price point and weight and attachments.

> 3 dayFor decades I have had a wall vacuum unit and I thought it was just okay. Recently the brush head broke and I came onto Amazon to price a replacement. Over a hundred dollars just for the brush head unit! Since I was never in love with the system I started pricing Dysons...all but the cheapest unit was out of my price range and I wasnt overly impressed with the reviews. So I headed over to the Shark reviews, looked at the various units and found I could get a nice unit for about $50 more than the replacement part for my wall system. Easy to assemble in a minute or so, easy to understand how to use...nice accessories. Since I was in the kitchen when I was putting it together, I decided to try it out first on an area rug my dog lays on (hes a short haired breed). The rug was about 2x4 no big area here...to say I was impressed was an understatement...I was shocked at the amount of dust and hair the unit picked up effortlessly...actually it was kinda creepy to know all that dirt was in that little rug, it filled the cup about halfway! I put on the floor dusting attachment and finished the kitchen, the cup is now full. Easy enough to empty the cup, I didnt understand all the whining about this feature in the reviews. Moved onto the dining room, nearly filled the cup again in just that room and it had been recently vacuumed. Moved onto the living room and got about 75% of it done before I had to find a new outlet, I was plugged into the kitchen and I have a big house over 2000 square feet! Filled the cup again and...maybe it was my imagination but my bare feet on the carpet felt cleaner. Easy to maneuver, you dont have to push it, it self propels forward saving a lot of backache. The other attachments were pretty much what you get with all other units with the exception of the mini ones that can clean you keyboard...I think it might suck up my laptop its so powerful, I havent used it yet so I cant comment. Used it some more the next day on more floors and bedroom carpets and was shocked at the amount of dust and hair in the cup. Now I will qualify my statements by saying I have never owned a Dyson, Ive never even used one so I cant compare the two. For the difference in price, there is nothing that the Dyson could offer me that I would want or need that the Shark doesnt already give me. I will also add that I was shocked how light the unit was, with all the bones up high by your handle, I thought reaching high with the attachments to get cobwebs off the ceiling would strain my wrist...nope, it was effortless. My ceilings are really high, 20 feet in some areas and I was able to get to all but the highest points and those areas I could get with a small step stool. As far as how long the unit will last...for the price if it only lasts until the 5 year warranty runs out I will be happy, Ive spent a whole lot more on units that only had a fraction of the cleaning power that this baby holds. I feel I got a really great value for the price. That you cant stand it up on its own is a minor hassle I can deal with. I recommend this unit highly!
