After struggling trying to tin a few soldering irons, I bought this. It is absolutely amazing, and instantly tins the tips. Although Ive never needed this before, I wasnt sure how I was going to fix my soldering iron tips.

I have struggled doing a easy solder joint until I started using this product. It is the best thing Ive ever used to make soldering joints, boards, etc. The easiest way to do it is to religiously put the tip in this product a few times before every attempt at soldering anything, then lightly clean the tip on a sponge or that wire mesh stuff and then solder the joint. I couldnt get anything to bond but this stuff turned all my attempts into professional looking joints instantly. Perfect answer for the dyi guy. And for the price its best to buy two.

Works as stated. Good product. Is it required? I would say yes, solder tip mfg made no recommendation, but he may have pre-applied the tinner and not mentioned it?

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this product really delivers on its promises. It worked beyond my expectations. Highly recommend it.

This tip tinner is amazing!!! I used the white sal-ammonia block solder iron cleaner prior to this and this beats by far, cleans easily, quickly and thoroughly. It’s doesn’t take a any physical effort like the sal-ammonia block either. I bought two more I was so happy with it.

This works as claimed, bringing a very old, oxidized (but good quality) tip back to life.

Should have bought this years ago.
