Thermaltronics TMT-TC-2 Tip Tinner (20g) in 0.8oz Container

I was looking to find and buy a new tip for my Weller and thought Id give this a try. It is a small tin of product and I was concerned I paid too much for this. But I tried it and it worked after several times of use on my old 35 yr old tip in the iron. I had a couple other irons and it worked for them also. I recommend this product as being effective. I felt it was a little overpriced, thus the 4 stars.

For the young people. Always, always, always tin your tips. Heat cause all kinds of things to happen.

Coats solder iron tip cleanly and easilty.

Good quality product. Size is small for the price.

Cleans up my Hakko tips with minimal effort. This, paired with a brass sponge should keep any tip in good working order for years.

Somehow I couldnt make it work. I believe its a good product but I probably did something wrong. I have this tip that just never accepted tin and I thought this would handle it but it didnt. It might just be a bad tip.

Its very easy to use just dip the tip and it tins it for a quick solder.

After struggling trying to tin a few soldering irons, I bought this. It is absolutely amazing, and instantly tins the tips. Although Ive never needed this before, I wasnt sure how I was going to fix my soldering iron tips.
