> 3 dayOh my gawd this stuff MELTED two different soldering iron tips!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, unless you want your soldering tip to be literally a part of your work. As instructed, I put some of this gunning product on the top of my first soldering iron with confidence it would do its job based on the product description. About 45 seconds into my soldering job I noticed my soldering to tip was getting smaller on one side! I immediately stopped my project. Convinced the issue was a faulty soldering iron, I went down to the hardware store and picked up a new soldering iron. I tinned the top of the new sildering iron and off I went with my project. Around 45 seconds, I again noticed the new soldering iron too was beginning to melt!! I cant believe it! This product has made literally throw away money on 2 brand new soldering irons and HOURS of frustration and now Im off to the hardware store AGAIN to buy a 3rd soldering iron. I will never EVER use this tinning product again.

> 3 dayThird time to purchase this product, no regrets. Twice bought for different jobs that allowed people who misused the soldering irons to burn holes in plastics, burn rope, whatever. Because of the nature of our contracts, new tips cant just be purchased. I bought Thermaltronics Lead Free Tip Tinner for 2 different engineering labs and brought all soldering irons back into workable states. And the intermittant non-solder proficient people have figured out to use the tip tinner (probably as solder?) when they do their side projects. BTW, tinner is not solder, use it in conjunction with a bronze pad or sponge to clean the soldering tip and prep it for soldering. Just purchased a third tin for home use.

> 3 dayMy package was missing the item itself, contacted seller and they immediately placed another in the mail. Great service. Item performs well also, even brought back a soldering iron my uncle had used for many years that the tip had rusted on. Lightly sanded the tip and dipped it in this and presto like new. Would recommend.

> 3 dayThis is powdered tin or something similar. Real easy to use. Tinned the solder iron effortlessly and far better than using just plain solder.
