Thermaltronics TMT-TC-2 Tip Tinner (20g) in 0.8oz Container

I had only one old beat-up tip for my Black & Decker soldering and could not find a replacement for it. I tried so hard to clean the tip of oxidation I actually ended up sanding the tip down all the way to the copper. Got one of these Tip Tinners and followed the instructions and my old beat-up tip solders like new. Like I said ... a terrific product!

Bought this in tandem with a brass wool sponge to maintain my soldering tips. I found that the brass sponge worked better so this isnt getting much use for me, but still a decent product.

I have tried just about every method to tin my soldering iron tips with ok results. However, this product blew me away when I used it. It perfectly tins tips in seconds. I only wish it came in a larger size. It’s a little hard getting the entire tip down into the container because it’s so small. Also as a word of caution; the outside of the container gets very hot. My recommendation is not to touch it after removing the tip and let it cool for a few minutes.
