> 24 hourI really like the oversized hugeness of this golf-sized umbrella. The telescoping handle makes it compact enough to fit into my shoulderbag. After about two years of use, some of the thin thread holdfasts on the outer shade broke, which just meant that the material billowed out a bit over the handle when collapsed--not a huge deal. A pin in one of the arms also came out, so that arm didnt quite extend all the way. I fixed that with a paperclip. Finally, after three-and-a-half years, the button & spring mechanism wore out and the handle will no longer reliably stay on the collapsed position. I just wrapped it up with a velcro tie to keep it closed, put it in the trunk of the car for emergencies, and bought a new one for me!

> 24 hourThe best way to test an umbrella is during hurricane season in South Florida. Best umbrella thus far. To bad someone stole it. Pros - Stands up wind gust - great coverage for two people - compact to fit in a fairly large back pack (this is not a purse friendly umbrella) - handles well in a heavy down pour - has a great opening mechanism and a breeze to close - comes with a cover that has netted vent - the handle also has an elastic band to wrap around your wrist - heavy enough to use a decent brunt object just i case your have to defend yourself :) Cons: - its not really a compact umbrella. Like i said ladies, its not purse friendly. This is must for a Floridian. Keep a close eye on it though... Someone WILL steal it.

> 24 hourIve actually purchased this twice because my first one was borrowed forever by my sister. This is a solid umbrella that when collapsed is just about 20.5 long. When opened the canopy is large and has a great handle with good grip. Here in NYC lots of people buy the cheap $5 street umbrellas but those things will disintegrate in a large gust or a collision. Dont lose or let people borrow this and itll last you longer and keep you dryer.

> 24 hourI just received this umbrella today, so it hasnt been rain/wind tested yet. I looked it over, opened it up and inspected it. Everything looks good. No holes, no snags, and no loose pieces. The color was as expected. It feels solid and doesnt feel that heavy to me. Its not as light as a little tote umbrella, but its three times the size! Update: Been in a few rain storms in South Florida and its holding up fine. I dont think its that heavy at all. If Id change anything, Id have made the handle a bit longer. It barely fits in my hand. For an umbrella this big, a longer handle would be nice.

> 24 hourQuality construction, sturdy and does pretty good in reasonable wind (read less than 20mph, I havent had the pleasure of using it in higher wind). I would gladdly buy it again if I managed to lose it. The size is large enough that two people can easily use it at the same time. The automatic opening action, a feature that I didnt think that I needed is actually pretty darn handy when your other hand is occupied with coffee or a bag, etc. Edit 7/8/2015: So the rivets have started to fail at the edge of the umbrella. This does not render the umbrella useless, however there is a noticeable droop on two of the edges. Im still fairly happy with the umbrella, but this does take away from its ability to last. My rating has changed from 5 stars to 3. Two years old shouldnt be failing this quickly. (I always leave it open to dry after use.) Edit 10/2/2015: No longer impressed. Too much money spent on an umbrella that failed after two years of light use. I can No longer recommend this umbrella.

> 24 hourGreat, HUGE umbrella for me. The umbrella has a premium and sturdy look. Its slightly heavier than I thought for a umbrella larger than 55. But Im happy with it. Only thing I noticed is you need to use a little more force to close it and you need to push it open after pressing THE button, lets say its semi-automatic action. Anyway, its a pretty good one Ill say.

> 24 hourHeavy duty umbrella should hold up to winds. Large coverage, enough for 2 people. Kind of bulky and on heavy side but thats what I ordered. The handle could be a little more ergonomic.

> 24 hourMy husband researched umbrellas and landed on buying two of these. They seem like great quality! They aren’t too heavy, and they feel durable. We haven’t had any issues with the opening/closing mechanism. They are nice and large for two newlyweds to snuggle under—and now for keeping my baby bump well protected from the rain. :)

> 24 hourThis is a very large and heavy umbrella. Even if you have a large bookbag, it might possibly not fit inside (youll have the handle part protruding out). I bought this umbrella because I know Totes brand is known for their quality umbrellas. I also wanted a rather large umbrella (when opened). Unfortunately, it is a bit too big in its compact size. The umbrella is also very heavy so its hard to hold up and walk around-- extremely tiring. Though I must say, in times of extreme wind, my umbrella has not flipped over. I accidently left the umbrella closed and wet... And it rusted, so there goes that :(
