> 3 dayBe warned, as you walk outside into the pouring rain, and click the button with your thumb to effortlessly release your compact umbrella into a James Bond-esk canopy to release enough cover for you, your bag, and the beautiful girl from class, you may be pined with envy. Seriously though, I love this umbrella. Ive had it since 2014 (wrote this 12/16) The opening and closing acton is so satisfyingly smooth. Its compact yet huge. Invincible to wind and a total steal for price. I love this umbrella so much that Ive taken it to Europe twice, Mexico 3 times, all over the US, and survived daily use for two monsoon seasons in Arizona! Edit 4/4/19: add bouncing around the trunk, two months in Asia, two months in Guatemala, hail, snow, rain, 50mph pelting rain at 10,000 feet on a volcano, backpacking, checked bags, dive boats, a light gnawing by a pomeranian, and used as a club in a back alley skirmish... yet it still opens flawlessly. Best umbrella ever.

> 3 dayI was looking for a large umbrella in our school colors and this one is exactly what I was looking for!! Its very sturdy, has a comfortable grip handle & is large enough to protect a couple adults from the wind and rain!! A bonus with this golf-size umbrella is that it folds very compact, which was a nice feature!! I am happy with my purchase...unfortunately (or maybe, fortunately) it has only rained once during our soccer games since I bought it!

> 3 dayThe best umbrella ever . I had the same one for years in other color . When i bought it was cheaper . But i really recomend it. I did not like the price , its too much for an umbrella but i paid it.

> 3 dayThis is a very large and heavy umbrella. Even if you have a large bookbag, it might possibly not fit inside (youll have the handle part protruding out). I bought this umbrella because I know Totes brand is known for their quality umbrellas. I also wanted a rather large umbrella (when opened). Unfortunately, it is a bit too big in its compact size. The umbrella is also very heavy so its hard to hold up and walk around-- extremely tiring. Though I must say, in times of extreme wind, my umbrella has not flipped over. I accidently left the umbrella closed and wet... And it rusted, so there goes that :(

> 3 dayNice! Its not a mini umbrella but isnt huge, either. It wont fit in a briefcase. Its solid and well made. I had my first use with it when I got out of my car at the waterfront with 34mph gusts -- the wind hit the inside of the umbrella, and it didnt turn inside out. Thats all I need.

> 3 day2nd one I bought (lost the first one, not due to breakage). This is a great umbrella. Good size, gives plenty of cover for two. Wind vents keep the flaps down under everything but the craziest wind gusts. Its a bit heavy and doesnt fit in your backpack without sticking out, but I prefer this folks away design to the cane style umbrellas, and I feel its built better.

> 3 dayI recently took this on a trip and was worried that it might be too big and clumsy. Although it is bigger that the usual fold up umbrella, it is easy to open with just a push button and not at all bulky or cumbersome. It is certainly big enough to be sure you are completely covered and protected. I love the bright color too.

Greater than one weekSo Im not sure why this has to be a mens umbrella - Im definitely female and I definitely love this umbrella. It is very very wide and keeps pretty much all of me (plus bags, backpacks, another person, etc.) dry. I havent tried it in incredibly strong winds, but it has performed well in moderate to powerful gusts.

Greater than one weekIve actually purchased this twice because my first one was borrowed forever by my sister. This is a solid umbrella that when collapsed is just about 20.5 long. When opened the canopy is large and has a great handle with good grip. Here in NYC lots of people buy the cheap $5 street umbrellas but those things will disintegrate in a large gust or a collision. Dont lose or let people borrow this and itll last you longer and keep you dryer.

11-06-2025Just the umbrella I wanted. As others have stated, this umbrella is a tad bit heavier than the other ones out on the market however it also feels sturdier and not as flimsy due to the weight. Its definitely not one of those umbrellas you want to carry in a bag but more of one that you would use to pick up people (since it is a golf sized) and maybe leave in the car for when you do your groceries and such. If you want to carry it in your backpack, youll have to strap it to the side or expect it to poke out the top since its quite long. Other than that, its the umbrella I exactly wanted and if I had one bad thing about it is that it is not auto-close which makes me use both hands in order to close it. (The horror~~)
