The umbrella comes off as a little big; I feel a little bit out of place when I open up my umbrella in the streets of Seattle and my umbrella could probably fit two or three rain-ridden folks, while other folks umbrellas are smaller, which sometimes makes me feel like Im overcompensating for my small car. When closed, the umbrella would definitely not fit in a small-to-medium-size purse, but it could partially fit in a backpack, a satchel, or other carries. In any case, I really like the blue colour. The handle is a bit on the heavier side; if it storms with much wind, a weak hand may not be able to hang on the heavy frame. But if it storms with much wind, you should not really be walking outside anyway. Unless you are in New York City, in which case you probably already own an umbrella or two.

Seems to be solidly constructed as it is a bit heavier that I anticipated. Not a complaint. Opens efficiently and is broad enough for two. Perhaps it will endure stormy weather in a manner fitting to its apparent quality.

I got sick and tired of cheap drugstore umbrellas getting broken and wind-reversed all the time. I wanted a reasonably priced yet well working umbrella. I read tons of reviews all over the internet, and I ended up with this one. So far, its done very well. It hasnt turned inside out. Last week, I had to be outside in the rain for 2.5 hours. This umbrella was great. Except for a couple of drips (and considering the nasty weather I was in, I expected a couple), I had no issues. I love that its a pretty big umbrella that folds to a nice size. Sure, its way bigger than the micro umbrellas, but if you need a mini, look elsewhere. About my only complaint is that it can be difficult to collapse it in inclement weather, with rain and wind beating down. I wish the auto open button would also auto close it. But I knew it didnt do that when I purchased it, so I cant fault anyone but myself for that issue. Otherwise, great umbrella.

The title really says it all... solid umbrella especially for the price. Only issue is that its really not overly compact (I cant fit this umbrella in my bag which I tote along with me to work... kind of a bummer). The trade-off, however, is that the actual umbrella is quite large and offers good coverage from the elements. Its compact ENOUGH to where I can manage. When open, the handle jiggles a little bit (not a super solid fit at the point where the handle is affixed to the pole - not a big issue though). Ive not tried this product in a super windy situation yet. We shall see how it holds up. Based on my experience thus far, Id be more inclinded to give this a 3.5 star rating.

I love this umbrella! Yes, it is HUGE, but because I hate getting rained on, this is the only umbrella that is big enough to keep me completely dry. Im 52 and 100 lbs, so Im not a big person, but normal sized umbrellas just cant block the rain completely, even less so if its rainy and windy. Id say this is big enough to decently cover 3 people my size, or 2 people if walking side by side. It is double vented and very sturdy. My only con for this product is that its heavier than Id like to have to carry around, especially if Im out shopping or running errands. If it ever need another umbrella, I would definitely purchase this again.

Not as compact as I would like, but I would rather have a larger umbrella than be more compact. It is much larger than expected, so I recommend getting physically measuring out the length to see if it will be comfortable for you and even fit in a bag that you will be carrying.

I was looking for a large umbrella in our school colors and this one is exactly what I was looking for!! Its very sturdy, has a comfortable grip handle & is large enough to protect a couple adults from the wind and rain!! A bonus with this golf-size umbrella is that it folds very compact, which was a nice feature!! I am happy with my purchase...unfortunately (or maybe, fortunately) it has only rained once during our soccer games since I bought it!

This is the second totes golf umbrella Ive purchased. I had the previous one for 2 years but I lost it on the train. It was such a sturdy, reliable, big, and compact umbrella I knew I had to get the same one to replace it. Fantastic!

Its a good quality umbrella, but what good is it if its too heavy to carry? If manufacturers are going with this size, they need to switch to more exotic materials - aluminum and steel simply wont do the job without being too heavy. I have never used this umbrella, in the past few months, because I cannot carry it for extended durations. Id rather get a bit wet, that end up with carpal tunnel syndrome.

So I had a similar umbrella that worked very well. I got this one as my wife was using it. When this came home, sadly I inherited the old one, and that says a lot. To classify this as only a mens umbrella is sad. Very solid and sturdy umbrella. Fabulous for the winds we face in the Chicago area. It has allowed us to survive through a few storms. It will fit a couple of if needed. Now I need to go get another one of these, so waiting for the one to break...
