Tote products are awesome. This umbrella fits me and one extra person perfectly . Does not break easily when heavy winds hit

Quality construction, sturdy and does pretty good in reasonable wind (read less than 20mph, I havent had the pleasure of using it in higher wind). I would gladdly buy it again if I managed to lose it. The size is large enough that two people can easily use it at the same time. The automatic opening action, a feature that I didnt think that I needed is actually pretty darn handy when your other hand is occupied with coffee or a bag, etc. Edit 7/8/2015: So the rivets have started to fail at the edge of the umbrella. This does not render the umbrella useless, however there is a noticeable droop on two of the edges. Im still fairly happy with the umbrella, but this does take away from its ability to last. My rating has changed from 5 stars to 3. Two years old shouldnt be failing this quickly. (I always leave it open to dry after use.) Edit 10/2/2015: No longer impressed. Too much money spent on an umbrella that failed after two years of light use. I can No longer recommend this umbrella.

we made use of the umbrella for outdoor sporting events and really like the compact size. Not as large as a full sized golf umbrella when opened up but wonderful for around town use. Cant beat th lifetime warranty and it is gust proof. Would like a beefier main post.

The best way to test an umbrella is during hurricane season in South Florida. Best umbrella thus far. To bad someone stole it. Pros - Stands up wind gust - great coverage for two people - compact to fit in a fairly large back pack (this is not a purse friendly umbrella) - handles well in a heavy down pour - has a great opening mechanism and a breeze to close - comes with a cover that has netted vent - the handle also has an elastic band to wrap around your wrist - heavy enough to use a decent brunt object just i case your have to defend yourself :) Cons: - its not really a compact umbrella. Like i said ladies, its not purse friendly. This is must for a Floridian. Keep a close eye on it though... Someone WILL steal it.

Bought this one hoping itll last for a long time, slightly disappointed. Pros: Big. Comes with a carrying sleeve. Compact (Tripple fold style). Strong metal construction. Cons: The connection between the frame and the cloth couldve been better. This is the part where it broke down for me. Yes, I could even fix it by sewing it back myself but, if I could sew it and make it stronger, why cant the manucator do a better job? It is very heart breaking to see something couldve been a perfect product not perfect because of something small. Bottom line: Good product that needs minor fix.

This is a very good umbrella. I purchased it because my old umbrella broke and I liked the idea of adding a little color to the streets of New York. I have not had an issue with wind with it (which is good, because I live in a wind tunnel. Only thing I would change is possibly to include a button to have it detract or at least fold the umbrella up. As it stands now, to close, you pull it back. This is a minor request.

Durable. Takes a little strength to close.

This umbrella was slightly larger than I thought but that was my mistake. I love this umbrella. its a little heavy, but that also means it is very sturdy. It held up well in the wind on a blustery day in Washington, DC and it covered me really well. It doesnt exactly fit in your purse (unless you carry a huge purse) but I have a small, flimsy, travel umbrella for that. This is good for everyday use going back and forth to work.

Be warned, as you walk outside into the pouring rain, and click the button with your thumb to effortlessly release your compact umbrella into a James Bond-esk canopy to release enough cover for you, your bag, and the beautiful girl from class, you may be pined with envy. Seriously though, I love this umbrella. Ive had it since 2014 (wrote this 12/16) The opening and closing acton is so satisfyingly smooth. Its compact yet huge. Invincible to wind and a total steal for price. I love this umbrella so much that Ive taken it to Europe twice, Mexico 3 times, all over the US, and survived daily use for two monsoon seasons in Arizona! Edit 4/4/19: add bouncing around the trunk, two months in Asia, two months in Guatemala, hail, snow, rain, 50mph pelting rain at 10,000 feet on a volcano, backpacking, checked bags, dive boats, a light gnawing by a pomeranian, and used as a club in a back alley skirmish... yet it still opens flawlessly. Best umbrella ever.

If you hate getting wet and need a huge umbrella, this is your umbrella. Covers myself and my gigantic book bag walking to, and between classes. Its vented so it wont get away from you if a large wind comes up. Ive never had an issue with it. If you dont mind carrying a really large umbrella then check this one out.
