> 3 dayThe umbrella comes off as a little big; I feel a little bit out of place when I open up my umbrella in the streets of Seattle and my umbrella could probably fit two or three rain-ridden folks, while other folks umbrellas are smaller, which sometimes makes me feel like Im overcompensating for my small car. When closed, the umbrella would definitely not fit in a small-to-medium-size purse, but it could partially fit in a backpack, a satchel, or other carries. In any case, I really like the blue colour. The handle is a bit on the heavier side; if it storms with much wind, a weak hand may not be able to hang on the heavy frame. But if it storms with much wind, you should not really be walking outside anyway. Unless you are in New York City, in which case you probably already own an umbrella or two.

> 3 dayThis is one of the largest folding umbrellas you can get...about 56 across, so you can walk with another person no problem. Its not as big as a full-sized golf or bellman umbrella, which is about 68, but I needed it to fold. Its auto-open, but manual close, which is fine. It has a wrist strap and a comfortable handle. The nylon/netted case it comes with is pretty useless, really, as it has no shoulder strap.

> 3 dayThis thing is massive. I didnt quite understand how big it was... another reviewer complained that it wasnt big enough for him so I thought It wouldnt be one of those massive umbrellas you see sometimes... but it is. I dont quite get what he was after because this umbrella is so large Im a bit embarrassed walking in a busy street with it.

> 3 dayI am sick of disposable umbrellas. I wanted a sturdy umbrella that would hold up to wind and I could tuck into my briefcase. This is more convenient than a traditional golf umbrella in that it collapses, but as previous reviewers have commented it is on the large size. I have a nylon briefcase/bag and this does fit in it, but not discretely--it projects out the top. However, as I travel by foot among several buildings this is useful to have available. I am willing to trade length for functionality (the extra panel for wind) . I wear glasses and absolutely detest getting water on them, hence the desire for an umbrella (I never know when a rain shower will pop up). Also the pattern (blue and white) makes it obvious, which is helpful in the dark or reduced visibility situations. I was once almost hit by a car while in a cross walk because I was wearing a dark coat and they just didnt see me.

> 3 dayFinally retired my last totes umbrella after 14 years of dependable service in Miamis tropical climate. Its a little smelly, a little bent, but mostly functional so itll sit as backup in the car. This new one feels comparable in build and quality and has already kept me dry in a couple unexpected late-season squalls. The size of this umbrella is its strength, and they only minor complaint I have is that the spring inside to extend it from its collapsed position is too weak, needs a little help to self-open.

Greater than one weekI finally decided I was fed up with the poor-quality folding umbrellas I always end up buying from CVS or wherever because my existing poor-quality umbrella had a catastrophic failure during a downpour. You spend like $12 and the thing has a hole in it after one or two uses, or one of the spines breaks and your umbrella is all floppy on that side. Even when its brand new, that cheapy umbrella is so small that youre soaked from the knees down by the time you get where youre going. I walk about 1.5 miles to work, and I dont want to get there miserable and wet. I saw a colleague with this umbrella and took it right out of her hand so I could find out what brand it was, then went to Amazon and ordered it immediately. My favorite thing about this umbrella is the size-no more wet legs!! It folds down to a reasonable size. I will say that this umbrella is heavy; I dont carry it all the time just in case of rain-its too heavy to tote around unless rain is in the forecast. But that is the tradeoff for the quality and durability of the product. Im very happy with it!

> 3 dayThe best umbrella ever . I had the same one for years in other color . When i bought it was cheaper . But i really recomend it. I did not like the price , its too much for an umbrella but i paid it.

> 3 dayThis umbrella was slightly larger than I thought but that was my mistake. I love this umbrella. its a little heavy, but that also means it is very sturdy. It held up well in the wind on a blustery day in Washington, DC and it covered me really well. It doesnt exactly fit in your purse (unless you carry a huge purse) but I have a small, flimsy, travel umbrella for that. This is good for everyday use going back and forth to work.

07-06-2025So Im not sure why this has to be a mens umbrella - Im definitely female and I definitely love this umbrella. It is very very wide and keeps pretty much all of me (plus bags, backpacks, another person, etc.) dry. I havent tried it in incredibly strong winds, but it has performed well in moderate to powerful gusts.

Greater than one weekGreat umbrella, seems like really good quality. ... but man is it huge and heavy. It doesnt fit in my big laptop backpack... Its just over 20 inches long when folded up. Its probably 4-5 times heavier than my other folding umbrella. When opened, the size is great. Not quite the super-huge umbrella, just full-sized. I really like it, but I do wish it fit in my backpack when folded...
